DISGUSTING! How could the justice system allow this to happen? He was allowed to spend the day out of jail because of Christmas? did they really think he would go back to his cell? lol
I am sure that the program was a great succes. Inmates need to integrate themselves in the society. This particular case was not a succes, but I'm sure he is a changed man
I think this guy is probably homeless living on the streets somewhere and that's how he stays under the radar. Absolute disgrace they let him out for Christmas shopping alone and they failed to put a warrant out for his arrest.
He didn't escape. They "pert near" let him go. And ever since, they've only occasionally investigated his whereabouts, always missing him by a matter of time. They kept putting the case file down and walking away giving Eubanks every chance to remain steps ahead of them. What justice will there be if he's eventually caught at around the age of 70 and spends the last few years of his life in prison? That's NOT justice. Did the original prison guard have a consequence? The warden? I mean, think of how much time, money, and effort it's taken chasing this guy around the country. That prison warden should have been at least reprimanded and at most charged. And, the cousin's widow in LA, Kay Banks, if she wanted to get rid of him, she didn't have to make up that investigators called asking about him. All she had to do was actually call the FBI.
The podcast “Have You Seen This Man” gives many more details. His whole family covers for his garbage against this poor little girl. I wish they would stand up for this black girl.
@@littlechewisex3783 well once again it is normal for blk families to cover for their criminal members. Be it because they are bringing in money or because of no snitching or simply because they think it's just the whyte man holding a brother down. It's disgusting how ever you look at it.
Out of all things, why in the hell would a violent prisoner be released to go Christmas shopping for good behavior,? They are nonviolent offenders that aren't even released to attend funerals of their parents or children but this enough was released to go Christmas shopping. With what money, buying gifts for who? Who is expecting a gift from a prison? This is just ridiculous. Whoever authorized this Ludacris decision should have been fired immediately.
They allowed a convicted child murderer out for Christmas shopping???? That family should have sued them. He’s probably around someone’s child right now omg 😱
It's sad, but you know nobody was fired or disciplined for this...I'm sure they dotted all the I 's and crossed all the T's. And when he was in prison, he got to draw and paint and do fun things that his victim could no longer do because...well, he did kill her after all. Great job criminal justice system!!!!
This case was very weird that they let a black man go free…. That was highly unheard plus they even put innocent black men in prison. I believe FBI or secret agent was helping him escape something in exchange for him to take the blame for the killing. It’s not unheard of because they usually take care of your family for you and make sure you are hidden. Someone from the inside help him remain hidden from the outside.
That is an absurd level of incompetence. if you wrote that into a novel I'd tell you "you wrote a dumb novel. no real person is that incompetent, let alone a host of corrections officers, a judge, and teams of federal and state police." The likelihood that there is another victim of his out there is almost a certainty.
Well, if he's such a recidivist why hasn't he been caught committing another crime? He's been on the run for over 40 years and he's still being hunted by the US Marshals Service. Yet, no sign of him.
I'm beyond baffled a murder and a child murderer at that was given those luxuries and privileges wtf were they thinking.............that whole program is just ghastly!!!!
The prison office should be sacked an put in jail for rest of there life to let this piece of murder out on street to go Xmas shopping for his family an his family who helped him on the run should be put in jail for rest of there life too you discussing humanity you make me bloody sick an police who get on bus an than let him go U should be sacked

What were the details of the case?
As a murderer, sex offender and someone scheduled for execution he should have NEVER been eligible for the honor program. Hope heads rolled.
Most of the people that allowed this to happen are probably deceased. He's been a fugitive for 47 years.

Yes I think due to racial tensions that time they asked him to take the blame im exchange for being in the witnesses protection program.

What happened to black men getting heavier sentences and injustice? Or does that only apply to the innocent ones?
