Beautiful!!! I have a black car those would look crazy on.
😮😮😮🔥🔥🔥 cant wait to see them in person! Awesome vid!
Stoked for you to see em!
@@UnknownCoatings heat gun for 10 seconds would have made that sticker peel right off. Great video as usual
@@UnknownCoatings what colore is that?
I'm so happy I got to see the doggo's.
Expect more of it!
DAMN! THAT COLOR
It's a favorite for sure!
What’s the name of the powder and where did you get it
Bad ass color man!!!…..
Just watched a man peel a sticker for 30 seconds
10/10 would watch again
the WORST kind of stickers
Another great video from you, way to go man! One quick question though. When you started coating the wheel I saw significant faraday issues popping up and then you cut away to a completely covered product without ever addressing how you covered those areas. I think a lot of us would love to see your approach to that. Thanks
I typically just go over em with a flash light. I also noticed the videos show what appear to be light spots a lot that arent. Havent quite figured out why honestly.
Excellent job 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Question on 2 tone rims not chrome. I have rims that i want to do black with red highlights. Everything i read says do not cure first coat only cure first coat 70% let cool then apply second coat and do full cure on second coat.
Things I’m eating on UA-cam’s says cure first coat totally then put second coat on and cure that.
What do you do?
for SURE dont fully cure the first color. I cure it to flow out, then pull, let cool and add second color
What if it’s a clear coat over a solid color should i do the same thing as above ? Or does clear coat work differently and need to cure base color fully? Thanks for all the education you give to us
@@bjputvain same process. Partial cure. Then clear. Then full cure
Thank you
Thank you
Definitely a master craftsman! In another video you mentioned what brand tape you use, can you share the brand?
Im not brand specific but I use amber high temp tape as opposed to green or blue
Oh and one last question that I haven't seen come up is when is stripping wheels needed or can they all just be sandblasted as these were? Cause I'm sure it was you that said rim strip isn't available to the public anymore.
Fresh
Cool color ;)
hey thanks!
Can you do mag blue in matte finish?
What gun are you using in the video and was that the first gun you owned?
In your latest videos o see you shoot with a Gema
HS02 used it for a decade
What’s the color code? I’d like my wheels done in the color but I’m too far from you.

I’m
Way newer to this then u are . But here goes my question , why no gloves I thought the oil in our skin would be a issue ?
Ya know I have read the same and even been asked. I have never had an issue with it ever on my work. I don't know if that's just luck of the draw or what.i wish I could give a better answer and will openly admit there is no harm in wearing gloves so it's a good idea
Damn I wish I didn't do mine with Casper clear.
Always next time!
Sir good day, just a question where did you buy the blue powder coat ?thank you
I mix this color myself
Seems like quality tape , do
You have a link ?
I just Amazon high temp tape Amber and it comes up. No particular brand
Why do you touch it with bare hands right before you powder coat it? Are you not afraid of oil transfer? Also, do you not use acetone to wipe down the wheels?
I don't use acetone for almost anything since it's inherently bad for powder coating. I use denatured alcohol often though. And no, I get asked all the time, I have never once had an issue with oil transfer other than a steel part I touched with arguably oily hands and didn't coat for about two weeks and you could see where I had touched it. Beyond that I have never had a problem with it in my 15 years of coating
@@UnknownCoatings That's awesome info as everyone else always brings that up. Also, I've been watching a lot of your vids and have been trying to get started for the past year and a half and finally decided to go all in and build a 4x5x7in oven with 5 burners, two at the top and three at the bottom so a divider can be placed in 2' from the top making a smaller oven out of the top two elements. The system is powered by an Auber instrument 12000w controller and honestly turned out pretty rad to say the least. Anyways, sorry for the long message as I truly appreciate you replying back.
PM a quote a some wheels I want to get some work on, please . Thanks
lots of variables about the pricing, email is best unknowncoatings@gmail.com
I know this may be your trade secret. But if I want to get this colour from oversea . Are there any chance ??
Try allpowderpaints dot com
@@UnknownCoatings thank you very much. !!
Why you scrape the sticker off the barrel with your nail.... if you're just going to sand blast them? lol
If you blast it off you can see where the sticker used to be. Even blasting the adhesive off will do that. Basically the material is removed as a specific rate, but if you blast the sticker it's removing material around the sticker before it touches the material under the sticker
can this color be purchased ?
I have a few questions about running a business like this. If you don’t mind me asking, how did you start out? I’m finding it quite difficult to find a place I can work out of and getting an oven
I started just coating for myself. I have a video coming out this week that will go into more detail about it all
Unknown Coatings thank you!
What’s the name of the color of powder? And where did you purchase it from?
It's a 50/50 mix both are from prismatic
What colors were mixed? Or how can I order this color from them? I have a set of mag blue TE37 and I’ve been trying to match some engine parts to the color but had no luck yet finding the color
Also looking for colour if there's any further info, closest match I could find was an OEM Scuba Blue from Audi! 🙈

what kind of media blaster do you use? what media did you use to blast them rims?
It's a skatblast skat cat 40 modified to use a blast pot instead of siphon feed. And I use green diamond blast media. There will be a video up on my equipment this week
Great job, What about the center caps?
what about them?
What's your process for outgassing wheels? Thanks
Depends on the part. Wheels 450 degrees for 45 mins
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks
Whatttttt. Enkei sent you a camera too?!
Huh? No?
@@UnknownCoatings I jest. The shot of you pulling a wheel out with the camera inside the box as if Enkei put the camera there and not you. While I have your attention, just want to take an opportunity to say I love your videos. A lot of the tutorials and some of the more complicated jobs have been great to watch. Really encouraging watching you coat. I’m building my own business in coating over on the east coast, it’s great to watch someone who’s been doing it for years and succeeding. Keep it up! 👍🏽🙏🏽👊🏽
blasting or chem strip then blasting?
I chem strip typically, depends what it is. On this set I just blasted em
do you do a 2k clear over them ?, Great vids :)
no, thats paint. I use powder clear
Awesome job👍...amazing color...what's the name of that color???
name of the blue? you can purchase it at allpowderpaints dot com
Looks awesome. What are your program settings? Having a hard time finding the right setting, when painting candy Colors. It gives to much powder imo
I don't have like a set setting I just adjust as needed.
Do you clear coat as well mate, very nice
depends on the project, and the base color and what gloss level im going for. SOmetimes yes, sometimes no
@@UnknownCoatings thanks for getting back to me , you do some nice work mate
What abrasive media do you use?
Green diamond
No basecoat?
Why would there be a base coat? This is powder coating. No need for a base on something like this
Damn good job man! looks sick! how much would you charge for a set done like that?
$380 but understand that price is very specific to my area. Wheel pricing varies by location a ton
@@UnknownCoatings where are you located?
Hello, What type air compressor you used for sandblasting and the size?
I have a video coming out this weekend with all my equipment info
Hawt color 🥵🔥
Not knowing anything about powder coating, I guess you don’t worry about finger oil when touching after out gassing?
I have heard about this a lot, but in 12 years I have never had a single issue with this. I do live in a place with very low humidity, which I ASSUME plays a role.
@@UnknownCoatings that’s good enough for me !! 👍

You have some really interesting videos that you totally ruin with this obnoxious and childish music. This is the last one of your videos that youtube is ever going to recommend to me. Blocked.
Hahahahahahhahahahahahahahahhaha dude. Imagine being a random person and thinking another random person cares you don't like a video because of the music. You aren't in a position to have an ego like that, k guy?
Hi I want to know , how minute you sand blasting per wheel? Thanks
8-10 minutes each
