“Suffering just means you’re having a bad dream. Happiness means you’re having a good dream. Enlightenment means getting out of the dream altogether.” ― Jed McKenna
beatriz aceiton you're trying to discuss the absolute, thats the highest truth, but we are communicating (which implies duality) so we are never going to say the absolute truth.
I've always heard people say "I've had an awakening" and I thought it always meant that they saw the connection between them and everything else but it LITERALLY means "starting to wake up from the dream called life"
When I was a kid, and I still do it to this day, I would focus my attention on a single object, and I would start questioning existence after a couple minutes. Like, what is this?? Why am I here? What's this stuff made of? But seriously, this is so strange. I would be so tripped out I would have to think about something else so I wouldn't go insane.
this is so interesting. i could do the same thing. its like i normally live in a distorted state of mind and when i focus on the enviroment or an object for a while, my awareness somehow starts to increase like waking up from a dream. but i cant continue this state for a long time and my mind pulls back to its normal state in 1-2 seconds.
Raw ASMR yes!!! I know exactly what you mean!!! I did this as a child as well and also remember a scene from when I was 14 and this feeling just came to me and then I focused on it asking "what is this" ,if you focus on it it's almost as if you are not really "here" anymore and you almost burst from the inside thinking you go insane. I never knew what it was or if I was just strange and then forgot about it for many years. When my mother became enlightened ten years ago after a few years of meditating/self-inquiry and being into spirituality she told me about the illusion of life etc I began to remember the scenes and then finally started to understand that I had become aware of the dream /illusion many times. Ah so good to know that somebody else has had that experience as well. I also can focus on it when I want to and get this strange feeling. But don't know if it's of any help for becoming enlightened...
Amazing. So true. When I began to take heavy doses of psilocybin mushrooms every trip became the same. I felt like I was having a lucid dream. I was completely sure of it. At first I got really freaked out because it meant my loving parents and all my great friends were just figments of my imagination. Not real. There was only one unified consciousness and it was me and having this crazy dream. I constructed everything. So I stopped the mushrooms altogether. Now a year or two later I fully understand this and am so at peace with it. It’s great to know and comforting and fun. This might be my last incarnation because I think I’m finally deciding to wake up, for a while at least, and who knows, maybe I’ll decide to go back to sleep. But I am loving this incarnation and plan to finish it out at the ripe old age of 120, filled with bliss and joy and love and creativity, and make it the best incarnation of all. Then I think I’ll end the dream. With a signature of love, a kiss, and an appreciation for all it’s been :)
Amazing insight, thank you for your post. Just have a question, is incarnation something that I can choose or decide when I am awake? I don't have a chance to get psychedelics in my country, so just being curious and ask this question.
When this body was still young. I got this experience of suddenly waking up. And realising that everything I saw was me. And I experienced a total euphoria, it blew my mind that this is me.
limeros88 Yes! That’s what Leo is talking about. In that moment, even though brief, you“ woke up!” The bliss you experienced was from the mind becoming quiet with no more judgments. Just pure “Being.” You may not remember this now, but in that moment there were no worries, time stood still, there was nothing to do, nothing to solve, nothing to fix. Pure bliss consciousness or Unity Consciousness. It’s so cool that happened to you! Now you have a reference point. Lots of little kids experience this because they have fewer blocks and less conditioned minds. It’s very good to practice being “childlike in your thinking.” It can make breakthroughs like the one you described, possible!

I had a dream that I was in a vacation for a whole week. I felt everything like I do In “reality,” pain, fear, etc. even time moved the same. Then, in my dream, it was the next day and I was home. I asked my parents about the vacation the day before, and they said it had never happened. It felt so real, I couldn’t believe it. So real that I even considered that I was in an alternate reality or something. I told my parents this in my dream, but they just laughed at me. Then, I thought if the dream was the same as reality was there really a clear difference? I took a walk later and started telling random people my theory and dream. I wasn’t really scared anymore because I thought if this world isn’t even real, what’s there to worry about? Everything I’ve described has been a dream btw. After this, I had another dream of me waking up and writing down everything that happened. These series of dreams were all in the same night. But it seemed like it had been at least a week. Everything made too much sense.
i guess the difference in dreams vs "reality" is that reality has rules and the universe in reality respects those rules, while there is no rules in dreams
Forty years ago, after an upsetting psychedelic experience, i had pretty much the same assessment of reality as you describe. It seemed an inescapable shift and i had no reference point for where I was. Then I told my parents, and they took me to a psychiatrist and he drugged me into a stupor until i began to forget. Back you go into the matrix. I had summoned Mr Smith. It took another thirty years and an ayahuasca experience to remember once again. Good video content - .
*SPOILERS* I want to share something that spits into the face not only the "material paradigm", but also to search of enlightenment as a whole. Now what non-duality suggests is that we create contrast between good-bad, me and the universe(a.k.a. god) and so on. So ultimately if you manage to collapse the distinction between let's say good and bad, what would be left in the place ? Nothing, right ? because it is only one thing (god, universe, etc.). So if you collapse all the distinctions in your consciousness, what will be left ? Nothing but it self. This as a result cannot be anything, because it already is everything. In other words it can only be nothing, because only nothing can fit it all: reality, dreams, concepts, etc. So if everything is ultimately nothing, let me ask you this, what is it you are looking for ? Because enlightenment it self is just a concept within that nothing. So ultimately if you are searching for that which is described by non-duality means you are searching for nothing. And here is the catch if you are looking for nothing, there is nothing to be found. I repeat there is nothing to be seen, because there is only nothing, there is nothing to be found, because there is only nothing, and there is nothing to be explained, because nothing cannot be explained since there is nothing to explain. It gets even better. The fact that you are searching for something ether "enlightenment" or trying to achieve non-duality will prevent you from achieving it, because it implies that it is something else than it is, when there is nothing at all. So if you want to achieve ultimate understanding of reality you have to understand that there is nothing to understand, nothing to find and nothing to see and anything and everything you put in that nothing goes. You can put enlightenment, theories, concepts and so on, because "nothing" can hold it all, it has no limits, not boundaries, no judgment and even if you put it all there it is still it self, which is nothing. In other words to have everything you first have to have nothing, but if there is nothing to be had, therefore what I am trying to say that your path to ultimate freedom is realizing that there is no path, no limits, only nothing and that void you constantly are trying to fill with "self-development" or "addictions" or things like money will never be filled because there is nothing to fill. So if you want to grasp the reality stop chasing all the bs and just live your life the way you see it fit. You are nothing, I am nothing, this world is nothing, everything is nothing so put anything you want there. Good luck my friends !
If we're all a part of everything that is also nothing might as well create the greatest, most wonderful dream/life of nothingness possible. I better stop being afraid of the Illusions and Judgments that hold me back from Waking Up to a life of gentle peace and everlasting passionate love ;)
In that regard you are right, you could consider nothing to be a concept. After all anything we communicate instantly becomes a concept, because concepts are the nature of our communication. That is exactly the problem I am facing when I am trying to translate my message into words. What I am trying describe has no essence, no density, height length or otherwise measurable dimension therefore closest concept I could translate it as is nothingness. So you are right I am expressing it as a concept, but what I am trying to say by that concept is that "nothingness" has no concept. In essence any concept to describe it would render to be useless, because the concept cannot go outside it self. Finally what I am suggesting is that to "experience" it (even that fails to grasp meaning of what I am saying, because experience would be contained within it) you don't need to search for it, you don't need to meditate or conceptualize it, because whatever you do it will still will be within it, hence the only way to "see" it is to go beyond any concept, but you can't go beyond those things, because those thing are all there are and as I mentioned before the only thing that can fit it all (reality, consciousness, etc.) is absolute nothingness. hence there is only nothing which means you don't need to experience it, because there is nothing to experience. So essentially you have to experience and not experience it at the same time. P.S. I am aware of its paradoxical nature and that it only leads to itself, but at the same time it makes sense if it all there is which is nothing, it can only lead to one place which is it self :D
I just came to this realization because of situations happening. I had to search online to see if I could find something with my way of thinking. I came upon this video, I now know I'm not the only one. Wow this is great, I love dreaming!
I think on some deep level, we all know that this is a dream, but we don't want to believe it because we don't want to leave it due to our vasanas (binding desires/habits). When we hear this truth, it's like God is finally knocking on our door and saying "ok playtime is over, time to come back home" and we're kicking and screaming like children and don't want to hear it. The first time this truth dawned on me a couple of months ago, I asked myself "Why do I want to exist?" Everything I've ever been striving for in my dream life is for ultimate happiness which can only be found in the source when I stop existing! It was everything I ever wanted but also a very disturbing and frightful realization for my ego. I'm still reeling from this and every day chipping away at my attachments to this dream. Awakening is only hard because we don't want to awaken- we want to stay attached striving for things in this dream, pretending we are getting somewhere. Like when we have a pleasurable dream at night and wake up, we try to go back to sleep so we can continue that pleasurable dream, but it's never quite the same. Once you start awakening, there's no going back. When I wake up fully, the whole world will disappear. Sri Ramana Maharishi taught me this very same thing. Alice in Wonderland scene by scene is about this exact same truth. She worried so much about fitting in- she invented all these strange characters and animals, but she could never find her place in her own dream (wonderland). Everything was life and death so this dream that consciousness always wanted is never what it's cracked out to be. Our ego had a desire for sensory existence, and this whole world came into being. But always going outward, it never got what it wanted- always seeking for the happiness it was when it never existed.
I've experienced something similar. I was meditating inside a dream, and realised the dream world was a dream. And I'm guessing a similar thing can happen when you meditate in the "real" world.
Just an hour ago I had a dream that I met Leo and how he looked so calm and centered, I really felt like his being was really there (which of course I know it might not be) and he was guiding me, teaching me the path to enlightenment. So watching this video as I'm typing really makes me relate to his words. Thank you for blessing us with your amazing work, Leo!

Do not give thought to the knowledge of good or bad.... =Do not eat (or think of or into ) a knowledge of good or evil... Do not eat of that tree of the knowledge of duality .... Do not let a mind cause a dual concept to form Therefore getting lost in that dream ... When thy "I" becomes single thou shalt know thy God.... Turn thy consciousness within and witness your true essence .... Stay there in that ...I AM...that you are ....in pure awareness be In eternal peace and happiness.. You are love and you shine when your "I" becomes single 🙏🏼🕯️❤️
Fell asleep while listening to this and dreamed about this topic. In my dream I could still make sense of what I was hearing in this video . I was walking around my house “feeling “ every object as real, feeling how I was walking . Walked past my tv and noticed it was on which seemed weird to me. My tv was playing this video which is a lie, my phone was playing this video so I wondered how I was able to “watch ” this video even though I was sleeping. Meanwhile again I could still listen and make sense of what this video was saying. Amazing , just crazy and then I woke up. I guess it all happened because I’m still dreaming
I remember when I was a little kid, I would wonder why my 'consciousness' ( but at that age I didn't know of that word or concept to describe what I was referring to, of course) had been put into a human body, and not that of a dog, a whale, a rat, etc. I wondered if it was intentionally done before I was born somehow, or if it was just by chance, and if my dogs ever wanted to trade places with me, and if they felt the same way I did. sometimes I look back and wonder if those thoughts were the first glimmers of questioning my reality peeking through, only to be buried under the passing years.
honey gummy you think you are lucky your conciseness was put into a human but your dog thinks otherwise,, you still won't trade your life with another human being. You are stuck in the illusion that you are real . Consciousness doesn't have memories or a sense of self nor does it have a personality.. basically consciousness isn't you but you are consciousness
Couple months ago i did an experiment before going to sleep. I started to ask myself who i am. Every time an answer came, i could prove myself that that´s not who i really am. After doing this for maybe a couple of minutes i had come in to a state where i knew that i existed, but i had no idea what that "i" was. I just was. And i remembered that i used to feel like this all the time when i was a small child.
Having had sleep paralysis for 11 years, this video is hitting hard. It’s such a vivid, waking feeling that you begin to question so much. It’s both beautiful and terrifying
Have you ever pushed yourself out of sleep paralysis while pushing it sounds like an open window on the highway going 100 maybe we can push out of this dream
@@chrisballer2672 That would be so cool. All it’s done is get me out of the paralysis. Some of the hallucinations get more intense in the last few seconds, though.
I have nothing but love and admiration for you Leo. You are a true inspiration. I have been listening to you for last 4 years. A few days ago I awakened and all of that you said is TRUE. I thought I knew what you were talking about but I had no single clue about it. I was never ready to listen because I was really distracted listening to false gurus all around me. Thanks for giving me the true gift and guiding and always pointing towards it. You could have not done it for me or for anyone because I have to be it myself and so does everyone around us. In all honesty you are great teacher and you truly give. My life has changed for better after "I" was dropped from the picture. I love to share this dream with you. You are awesome x For others - If you are coachable enough and willing to actually learn then you are already on the right path. Close your eyes for now and just FOLLOW whatever he says and asks you to do. This man is a true legend. Our ego distracts us and don't let us do what he is telling us to do because its too scared to die.
Thank you soo much for this! To think about dreams are is what snapped me out of a low vibration. Dreams that we have when we fall asleep is showing you that the non YOU is every possible reality out there.
All his advices in just over a year has helped me to improve and change my life in all possible aspects. Starting with health and finishing with career. Powerful stuff!
Holy shit man - everything I’ve read, thought, and heard over the years finally make sense! This is the one simple insight I’ve been trying to unlock. And I get it now.
In dreams, sometimes, very rarely, you become aware that you're dreamimg. In reality, sometimes, very rarely, you become aware that life is a dream. That awareness goes away very quickly. But sometimes, very rarely, it stays with you until you die.
Good or bad, happy or unhappy, the dream is absolutely nothing. Nothing comes from nothing. Illusion. Mirage. Dream. Although you are now reading these words or watching this video, you are not really awake. You are actually sleeping and dreaming. Wake up. You can be simultaneously awake in the real sense and dreaming the dreams which we all dream.
I’ve got a huge question: I understand that “sleeping dream” and “the dream of everyday life/reality” are both just dreams. Intellectually I get it, and this video was spot on. (Space Kangaroos! Love it Leo!) However, when I am being chased by that flying bear in my “sleeping dream” when I wake up just in the nick of time to avoid being eaten, the bear is gone, along with the rest of the “sleeping dream.” That’s what happens, and that is comprehensible. However, when I wake up from my “reality dream” of everyday, I don’t understand if that means that I no longer have the life I am living?? Is my fiancé gone? My bills? My job? From the sleeping dream, I wake up to find myself in bed, unharmed / unaffected (physically mostly) from whatever it is that happened in the dream. WHERE would I find myself when I wake up from everyday life? Thanks Leo - I love your passion.
Depends on the degree of wokeness. With minor wokeness your bill and fiance would still be around. With a major wokeness the entire universe would disappear and so would your human life.
Keep saying this to yourself and before you know it you'll end up like me two years ago. I lost grip with reality and almost lost it. Whatever _this_ is, you are in it, and you have to deal with it. Saying to yourself "this is a dream" won't change anything period
@@BlakethaReaper if he really deeply would understand and believe what he is saying he wouldnt be here and constantly talking to him self and convincing himself lol...
I love how defensive ppl get about stuff like this. Like their ego is screaming at them not to lbelieve it or everything would change and the ego's power would be destroyed. Break down your walls people.
When he was telling me to wake up it blew my mind. He is me telling me wake up wake up you can wake up I’m you telling you to wake up your in a dream I felt a chill and I felt the stress the fight or flight and it was so scary at first
I always go to Leo vids when I feel a need for darkness in my life. I've realized it's an important aspect to delve into from time to time. Livens up the soul a bit.
You expressed my thoughts spectacularly. Know there is only 1 dreamer, 1 mind, 1 self, everything else will have never been without me dreaming it again. P.s. stop calling me a machine.

Because you have a sense of lack and you don't feel like life is enough right now. This happens to all of us as we are conditioned at 1,2,3 years old. Once it dawns on us that we are a little insignificant spec in a big scary world (not actually true though) we feel a lack. We need to please our parents etc. Then we need money, relationships, dream lives etc etc drugs sex etc etc. Awakening is freedom
Thank you Leo. I cant put into words what is happening to me right now.the only way i can put it into words is, you having awoken is ( in turn) causing me to awaken since u are me and i am you, we are literally all connected.all one. hopeful this video has the same affect for more of us so that we may truly awaken from this dream as one, as a whole!
Today I was meditating on a Joe Dispenza meditation. And I woke up. For real. Suddenly I understood at a level beyond my mind that I am living in a dream. That I am in a dream. So clear and crisp. Actually the mind vanished after that. I realised that my perception and thoughts are not even coming from the mind. I am blown away. And I understood that as long as I don't feel and act in conflict to the dream, to the "reality", I am safe, I won't exit the dream, as long as I am allowing the dream to unfold. Actually I understand now that the dream has already been dreamt, from beginning to end. Man, this is so freeing. But also at a scary level. What can I do now? What can I manifest? How can I manipulate the matter in a wise way, without disrupting the dream? Now I can see how magnificent this dream is and its potential is not even 1% manifested yet. I don't have any power over the script of the dream, it has been dreamt already, but knowing this, what can I still achieve within it? I'm still processing everything. And then I searched for some information on this and I found your video. And the information is a perfect match to the information I awoke to. Thank you.
What is the benefit that we realize reality is not real? It's confused me because I need to pay my rent. After I know reality is all concept, I delay paying the rent about 10 days, and I feel agency gonna come to kill me.
cause you know it conceptually but havent faced it experientially. Like everyone knows theyre going to die but truth is most people havent actually realized it yet. if they did they'd be free of all anxiety and depression and attachment
But that is what you chose to do after hearing this, without being aware of your dreams/reality's limitations. Doesn't mean we go out and do stupid stuff we know have affects in our reality's. I had this same confusion until it sunk in a bit.
Jesus, how do you know you are going to die? You do not. Maybe a mutation will happen for you or the whole of mankind that will result in that not being the case. You don't know you're gonna die, at all.
Paint a 6 on the sidewalk. Put one person at the foot of it, another at the head of it. To the one yes, it's a 6 - but to the other it's a 9. Both are right - neither is wrong. It's just a matter of different perspectives. Life is like that. When you believe your life is a nightmare, so it is. What if you change your perspective to this: "Everything happens for you, not to you" is how Byron Katie puts it, & I agree. It takes making the effort of a conscious shift in perspective, but oh, my how it pays off! So much of the challenging aspect of things just falls away. The situation is still there, it just isn't able to affect you in the same way. Your life is no longer a nightmare. Our perspective is key, is critical. Wishing you well. ~♥~
@@mrhizes Well, though the bodies/costumes come & go, we are not that, so there is no "over" for us. As awareness, we're infinite & eternal; we literally cannot die. I find that stepping into the role of the observer of it all is hugely helpful - not getting down so deep in the the various rabbit holes, ya know? Hands doing creative stuff refers to the act of using one's hands to create something new and original. This can include a wide range of activities such as painting, drawing, sculpting, crafting, woodworking, and more. The use of hands in these activities allows for a level of precision and control that can bring ideas and visions to life in a tangible way. Additionally, the act of creating with one's hands can be a therapeutic and fulfilling experience, allowing individuals to express themselves and channel their emotions into something tangible.
I think it's worth mentioning the haziness of memory too. After a week or so, it's difficult to recall events in real life, and near impossible to do so from a month or years ago to exact specificity. It's the same for remembering a dream. If it's all in your brain, why is the level of remembrance the same for conscious reality and unconscious reality?
But Leo, in lucid dreams you can ignore mechanical laws that apply in "real life", and to things that are not possible here. How come this dream doesn't change in any way once we become aware of it? Why is it that everything remains the same? I know that since we are not aware of what is happening in an outer dream, we cannot know what kind of restrictions are there relative to this dream, but isn't it more plausible that what we are experiencing now is the evolution of a dream? Just the way life on earth evolved to be conscious, so did this dream that we call reality evolve to be something "real".
what are you talking about? when you become lucid in a dream, you can totally change the laws in there. It depends on your level of experience with lucid dreams. i liked your hypothesis of this being an evolution of dream btw
Yes, you can change the laws in there. So basically things that are impossible in this reality are possible in a dream once you become aware that you are in a dream, but how come when you get a higher awareness in this reality and become aware that it might also be a dream nothing changes? It seems as if while in a lucid dream the "reality" you succumb to can be modeled in any way, this reality seems to be fixed and cannot be changed in any way. That's why I think that just the way your subconsciousness creates your dream world, so does a collective subconsciousness that all nature has, create reality. So the reason we cannot change it is because we are not in full control. There lies the possibility however that if we manage to be more in touch with this subconsciousness, that we can change our reality just the way we can change our dreams. In the end, we do have a tiny bit of control over it. Just think of how your subconscious mindset about life leads you to whatever you desire (i.e. being optimistic about your goal substantially increases your chances of reaching it). Basically following your intuition can show how the same subconsciousness is present in all of us. Carl Jung also proves this with the Archetypes.
I actually realized right now that what I seem to be perceiving is probably enlightenment but I'm too stuck in rationality to actually experience all the things I'm perceiving.
Leo you forgot to add the idea of lucid dreaming, that will really get you to realize the truth behind the materialist paradigm , lucid dreaming will bring the house of cards down and I say that because that’s what got me to understand.
Hey Leo, just because it's impossible to prove reality is physical, it doesn't automatically follow that it's a dream. You know what I'm saying? It's just possible, that's all. You're getting all too attached to the concept of physical world being unreal and just a dream, and I'm afraid you've stopped questioning your assumption and take it as a given. The relationship between consciousness and what we perceive as physical universe is still a deep mystery and may remain that way forever. But thank you very much anyway for your non duality videos, your perspective is still great, as it counter balances the overly materialistic view of life so prevalent today. Much love from Russia :)
Andy Jurko Some people have had a direct experience of reality not being physical. You don't have to believe it, experience it. It can't be known by theorizing or thinking about it
Me 5 years later..... true, life is a dream, i got it, it's all mind dreaming up realities. It's so obvious now, I'm amused reading my comment I left here 5 years ago, lol :)
Johnny what? Wait , if what you said is true, then that proves that dreams are connected with reality because if dreams were not connected, the blind would be able 2 see
Yes dreams and reality are connected cuz our night dreams are dreams within dreams(reality) the rule of blindness is inherited into the night dream from the parent dream(reality)
After watching this video, I went to bed and had three dreams, something that hadn't happened to me in a long time. In the first dream, I dreamed that I had a conversation with my father, who had recently died. During the conversation I did not remember that he had died. I really thought I was talking to him.
I have a very important question for you Leo, and I've waited for such a video for a long time. But first I have Something to say about the 'science' contradicting spirituality and reality and Truth. There's a difference between the scientific people and the spiritual (non-religious) people (like us). Science is based on finding out physical/biological patterns by measuring them. And the Scientific community bases the results of science as the 'TRUTH', because that's how we find out how things 'WORK'. But the 'TRUTH' is not about how things work, but how things 'ARE'. For Example the scientific community and the spiritual people want to know what consciousness is. The difference spiritual people will understand consciousness by experiencing a 'change of perception' what most people refer to as an awakening/moment of clarity/enlightenment. Science will only know where it comes from and how it works from an objective perspective. However, Consciousness is subjective and the only reality which exists within us. So now my question: I had a few moments of clarity, samadhis, the first 2 Jhanas, and Shakti rise up my spine. BUT, the most intense change of perception I had, not comparable to any of them, not comparable to alcohol, weed etc. was a psychosis called 'derealisation/depersonalisation'. I had this for a few months after my weed induced panic attack. I'm going to describe to you exactly how it felt. The experience came every evening while eating, and it always starts with a Strange sensation in the chest, and then booom. It felt like dying, and suddenly my perception changed. 1. Everything seems to be 1000 times bigger, not like hallucinations, but more like realising how giant everything is, my hand, my house, my body etc. 2. There is nothing Inside me, the 'thing in my head' has completely disappeared, and if there are people around, it seems like they also don't exist, there's no ego/soul within them. There is only the perception which exists. For example It was dark outside, and I couldn't see out the window, so Nothing existed outside, because I didn't perceive it. I knew from experience, that there is an outside world, but without perceiving it in the moment, it doesn't exists. 3. It feels like Nothing is real, like in a dream while you realise it is a dream, but 10000 times stronger because you're awake. I had this everyday for about 3 months, and when I stopped fearing it, it went away. It felt like dying every time I had the attacks which lasted for about 30 seconds to 5 minutes and during the day I felt for 3 months just a very little bit like in a dream state. I'm pretty sure an ego death is part of the experience of derealisation, because 1. it feels like dying, and 2. I don't exist in this state. That's actually the experience that led me to spirituality. And even though those experiences felt horrible, during the day, I felt so incredibly detached. I felt bliss listening to music and looking out the window. So I now view this more as an awakening rather than a psychosis, what do you think? Is this 'waking up from a dream?', a spiritual experience, ego death, or none of them?
“ What we really are is a community of mind, knitted together by codes and symbols, intuitions, aspirations, histories, hopes - the invisible world of the human experience is far more real to us than the visible world, which is little more than a kind of stage or screen on which we move “ -Terence McKenna
Everytime I think of something and forget about it, it comes true. But every time constantly think of something and it doesn’t leave my mind, it doesn’t come true until I stop thinking about it. It’s the coolest thing ever
Hey Leo, I was thinking of an example of how this 'real' life can affect your dreams , there's sometimes a cross over from dream state to waking state... Here it is; I've had times when sleeping that something in this waking state affected the direction of my dreams, for example if something was pressing on my neck in the night, I'd turn it into something maybe trying to kill me in my dream, another is maybe the roof has started to leak in waking state and water is dripping through the ceiling, I turn the dripping water into something else in my dream. It got me thinking that if there's a 3rd state then maybe things happen in that 3rd state and change how our lives are here in this 2nd state, in the same way that waking state happenings can affect dreaming state happenings, And that we are just experiencing things in a '2nd hand way' in this 'waking state' and confusing it for the real deal.
I keep dreaming that I am at the end of the school year or semester, and there was one class I neglected and stopped attending, but I still needed to show up and take the final, as well as account for all the missed assignments through the semester. I have come to realize that the "semester" is my life. I am not getting all the things done that I want to do , or I am not meeting every one of my "assignments" in life because I am bogged down in other things. Thats a start, now I need to find a way to alleviate the worry. I thought about trying to visit the teacher of the class I was missing and ask for his advice. And I am going to investigate what the SUBJECT of the class is that I am missing. I think that will clue me in on what I think I need to spend more time on in my life.
i had two experiences in 2 dreams where i found out that i m dreaming , and to wake my self up, i was looking to find a way to kill my self in the dream so that i wake up .... how u explain that ?
Contemplate, reflect, meditate seek the realisation within ur ‘Self’. M just another character in ur dream or maybe ur a character in my dream and we are guiding each other to wake from our dream. But as long as we are engaged with the characters of our dream we are in sleep no matter how realistic the conversation is.😊. Ur dream is like a totem of the movie Inception.
Absolutely love this. Questions though: Is all this part of my dream or are we all sharing in one dream? In other words... if I see a bear in my dream I assume the bear to be a fictional character of my dream which means all this (everything I’m experiencing is fictional too). Are you and is this experience all fictional and taking me ‘home’. Or are we sharing in the same dream? If this is the case... I need to understand the connection. A different sort of dream dimension perhaps? And then where does this place ‘reality’? Perhaps all we can say about this is that it exists outside of the dream and although I’m inclined to believe we reach it after our wakeful dream... there may be another dream dimension (or many) that await us before we get there?
The same thinking of being which is summerized with the same lines of poetry! I'm so happy for being not alone or may be I'm alone coz this is just my dream 🙂
Two things not addressed here imho, 1. Physical Pain, 2. Consistency and apparent Continuity from "day" to "day" of "waking dream. Love the videos man!
I had a moment recently where I pondered something very close to what you're saying. I have had dreams lately that feel so real, and during the dream I will actually question whether or not I'm in actual reality, or dreaming. During my dream I always come to the conclusion that it's real, but then the dream ends and I wake up. Or do I?
Is it only me or do you guys also realize that you're having a night dream as soon as something happens that breaks the laws of physics? they basically turn into a "lucid dream"

Consider his work, as a whole. Consider his determination for all of this. From day 1 to today. He went through alot. And by that i mean he digged almost everything. Consider how smart ,strategic, disciplined and patient he is.That means he got to the bottom of it. And most importantly, consider that although we cannot still understand all of this, but just a small glimplse, HIS words come from a good place. And that place is creation itself. Isnt that enough for you? :) Sure is for me.
I can imagine, many people get angry or frightened, finding out this Reality. MOST, people aren't ready, or WILL NEVER BE READY, for this shift in Consciousness.
Leo, I need to know how do we permanently remove ourselves?? No more dreams, no different dimensions, just gone, no awareness whatsoever. My BIGGEST FEAR IS THAT THERE'S NO END TO THIS, not even in death, which would mean never truly being at rest and in peace. Is this your belief also?? Every moment of awareness is torturous to me, I just want to crawl out of my skin and turn it all off, never have awareness again. Any feedback you can offer would be greatly appreciated.
Hi, I would like to just say that I realized life was a “dream” or should I say had an epiphany which then lead me to this video. It’s amazing how I had this belief and everything you have mentioned was my thought. I appreciate your videos , really gives us a good understanding. Thank you
Something is subtly different about Leo. You can tell he's had a shift in consciousness recently... he's more concise and direct, less apologetic. His eyes even look like they've gotten lighter... thank you for your work Leo! Dream or not :-)

Haha same here! Me & my sis thought we were the only ones. We would look at our hands & trip out.
Sadhguru had that exact behavior too.

Amazing.
I love it! But if you end the dream what will happen to you then? Will your consciousness just float around in the universe, or what do you believe ?

And still it's just another experience in consciousness
you are you
OK, everything is you, but you have no control over it, so what's the difference if it was not you?
Do you mean everything was you? Or you are part of a greater body

Leo just shouted at us for 45 minutes that life is a dream and then went back to bed

"nothing" is just a concept
Nothing cannot be a concept, because there is nothing to conceptualize :D
Hunt3rix good point but everyone has its own definition/perception of "nothing". Therefore its a concept, no? :-D
I’ve always thought since I was about 8 years old that I was in a dream I needed to wake up. This is 🙏 gold
You are not in a dream, you are the dream.

Resonates 100% with me.

honey gummy you think you are lucky your conciseness was put into a human but your dog thinks otherwise,, you still won't trade your life with another human being. In dreams, sometimes, very rarely, you become aware that you're dreamimg. In reality, sometimes, very rarely, you become aware that life is a dream. That awareness goes away very quickly. But sometimes, very rarely, it stays with you until you die.
Where is the source of your informations???
I have become aware while dreaming at least 2 times. We still understand very little the "reality" of dreams.
I’ve got a huge question:
I understand that “sleeping dream” and “the dream of everyday life/reality” are both just dreams.
Intellectually I get it, and this video was spot on. (Space Kangaroos! Love it Leo!)
However, when I am being chased by that flying bear in my “sleeping dream” when I wake up just in the nick of time to avoid being eaten, the bear is gone, along with the rest of the “sleeping dream.” That’s what happens, and that is comprehensible.

I think after we die we wake up into another world and realize that our whole lives were a one whole dream
Not many understand
Thank you.
the script is written" a course in miracles
Would you mind telling me what meditation that was?
Exactly because what happens when a dream becomes lucid. You become free.
Jesus your opinion is not a fact , most people heck all people know they are mortal , are you forgetting the famous saying ,life is short

I find that stepping into the role of the observer of it all is hugely helpful - not getting down so deep in the the various rabbit holes, ya know? You might like one of these journals:

Hands doing creative stuff refers to the act of using one's hands to create something new and original. This can include a wide range of activities such as painting, drawing, sculpting, crafting, woodworking, and more. The use of hands in these activities allows for a level of precision and control that can bring ideas and visions to life in a tangible way. Additionally, the act of creating with one's hands can be a therapeutic and fulfilling experience, allowing individuals to express themselves and channel their emotions into something tangible.
A lot of people are dreamers stuck in their dreams even asleep in their dream of reality. Great point about the sciences.
Well if nothing's changing, the statement that you have 'realised' how it works is wrong aint it ;) :P
No that's just how you realize that you are dreaming and become lucid. Reality hasn't changed in any way, just my awareness.
I think that you need to start explicitly stating that you're not talking about suicide. Some people might get the wrong idea.
I only have one thing to say: WHAT A DEEP VIDEO LEO. EXCELLENT. THIS MAKES THE DIFFERENCE. THANKS
It can't be known by theorizing or thinking about it
He's had experiences of higher consciousness.
Me 5 years later..... true, life is a dream, i got it, it's all mind dreaming up realities. It's so obvious now, I'm amused reading my comment I left here 5 years ago, lol :)
I wonder what a blind person would think of all this. Someone born into a completely different reality, a non-visual one
They still dream in all other senses like smell and touch
Johnny what? Wait , if what you said is true, then that proves that dreams are connected with reality because if dreams were not connected, the blind would be able 2 see
Yes dreams and reality are connected cuz our night dreams are dreams within dreams(reality)
the rule of blindness is inherited into the night dream from the parent dream(reality)
This needs to be a TEDtalk. Love the topic🙌🏽
After watching this video, I went to bed and had three dreams, something that hadn't happened to me in a long time. In the first dream, I dreamed that I had a conversation with my father, who had recently died. During the conversation I did not remember that he had died. I really thought I was talking to him.
You are a clue/reminder that I embedded in this dream (maybe before entering into this matrix) for me to wake up
whoaaa Nicole, interesting way of looking at it. cool...
Amazing video, as always. Thank you Leo ❤️
So now my question:
I had a few moments of clarity, samadhis, the first 2 Jhanas, and Shakti rise up my spine.
Did you have any 'mental health' issues before smoking the weed?
Have you had any "mental health" issues befire smoking weed?

Thank you Leo! Kisses from Greece

That's really deep, thanks for sharing the experience

The thing is, you shouldn't "believe" in him through blind faith; instead, you want to have direct experience.
