Montreal Maine & Atlantic B39-8 and 34 Cars From a Dead Stop

MMA train stopped at MP 83 to await permission to Millinocket, giving me time to set up at the road crossing just up from my camp. From a dead stop, the B39-8 started the 34 car train "like nothin" on a steep grade and at the beginning of a severe S-curve. Captured August 19, 2008.
