- The Ohio State Buckeyes have made more noise than perhaps any other team this offseason. After returning several key players who were already eligible to declare for the NFL draft, Ryan Day built upon an already elite roster by picking up massive additions in the transfer portal including safety Caleb Downs and running back Quinshon Judkins. With so much talent on the roster and an expected step back from Michigan this year, many believe it's now or never for Ryan Day. In this video, I give my thoughts on how I think their season will play out as I go game-by-game predicting outcomes.

When the NCAA releases its footage and evidence in the next couple months that they were cheating had thousands of hours of not just Ohio State but other teams they cheated they said Connor stallions to the games and they knew the signals ahead of time what’s Connor stallion standing next to Jim Harbaugh I’ve never seen a water boy standing next to the head coach during a game? So yes they did sheet and they are going to get penalized in the next couple months but people tend to forget that the new all the players ahead of time

He’s a great player. I hope he stays healthy. Putting Styles in the middle lb spot will definitely make out defense much better.
Should have mentioned the reason Michigan beat OSU in 2021 and 2022 was because they did in fact know the plays OSU was running. Im tired of people just giving credit to a team that cheated for three straight years. I can take a loss but I can’t take cheating.

No proof anyone but Conor Stalions was involved with scouting. But what ever makes the failures not hurt as much. What happened in 2023? You still lost?
This is going to be one of the greatest defense to play the game and one of the last. You wont see people staying like this. Very proud of the character to carry the tradition most lack today.

As I agree the Bux are "loaded" on both sides of the football, I wish all the Nat'l Champs hype would stop until, at least, we've played Oregon. That game should show everyone what O.S.U. really has to offer.

Chip kelly, I imagine, is familiar with Oregon's defense from his stint in the PAC 12. That said, got to think Oregon staff is well-versed with a Chip K offense. Defense and (I hope) a powerful run game will take the Buckeyes to a 0 loss season.

Buckeyes will go 12-0 & could possibly play Oregon 3 times this season. And my opinion would make the season sweep
They had the formula and stifled our offense hmmm wonder how they did that
I'm totally biased and agree with your predictions and reasons behind them. Tons of talent and experience and the matchups they have, should be 12-0. One thing that gives me pause is that one game they don't play up to their potential. In the past it's been Purdue, Iowa, letting Penn State stick around, or 2015 MSU 😭. Seems like we always have a game or two that we didn't see coming and the Buckeyes have to fight for their lives to get out of it. Hoping there are none of those and they just dominate.
Thats on the coaching staff but one thing that helps w that is a power running game bc lining up and bulling ppl over is always there no matter what if you have it. Plus I think we're going to start seeing now with the small defenses the power run game start to make a comeback and rushing all over them starting w this 2 headed monster under coach Kelley

If Ryan Day doesn’t win the Big 10 this year he will definitely be on the hot seat. He definitely has the most talent, but he has had the most talent the last three years as well and hasn’t done much with it. It will be an interesting season.
I think the fanbase will be calling for him to be fired for sure. Whether or not it would actually happen I’m not sure but everything is in place this year. It has to be now for him
@@collegefootballspotlight1 If he can find a decent quarterback he has the talent to easily beat anyone but Georgia. He hasn’t had a bad quarterback yet despite some of the fans complaints. With the addition of the four Pac12 teams this is going to be a memorable year.
Because of the structure of the B1G schedule, it's possible to have one loss and not make the B1G CCG. No one is going to fire Day for losing @ Oregon against a top 4 team. Not saying I am predicting it, but putting the stipulation that he has to win the B1G is nonsense. This may sound crazy, but Rutgers was legitimately pretty good last year. They don't have OSU, Michigan, Penn State, or Oregon on their schedule. They dodge the top 4 teams in the conference. If they can find a way to win against Iowa, Nebraska and USC, or even drop only 1 of those games, due to tiebreakers they may squeeze in to the CCG over a 1 loss OSU/Oregon/Penn State/etc.
@@kaluminati731 I believe he will still be on the hot seat. With his roster anything less than getting to a National Championship is going to be looked at as a failure. I don’t think he has to beat Georgia but he has to get there or the heat will increase.

On the hot seat means he is on the verge of getting fired, which he would not be barring some catastrophic circumstance like not making the playoff.

QB remains a question mark as I think they ran their best one out of town. Is Howard better than McCord? I don't see it. The big 12 is not on par with the Big 10. Lose to Michigan as always and the QB situation will cost them one road game, either at Oregon or PSU. 10-2.
Howard as a passer isn’t much better than McCord but he is a dual threat and that can benefit Chip Kelly’s run-heavy scheme. I think he’s better for what Ohio State wants to do this year
@@collegefootballspotlight1 Howard can't throw the ball nearly as well as McCord. But, I agree that OSU loves mobile QB's. McCord went 24TD's with 6 Picks last year. Howard has 25 career INT's with two seasons with 10 picks. He only matched McCord's 24 TD passes in his last season. His previous high was a mere 15. I don't see an upgrade here at all.

Coach John cooper jr will continue to be out coached and will find a way to choke. He has a track record of choking when the game matters the most.
You could have said the same thing for Harbaugh at UM for his first 5 to 6 yrs. Ryan Day-- NEVER been a head coach. Give him time. Also, Ryan Day, only has 4 years as a head coach (plus a 5th yr, the pandemic shortened year, the same yr UM chickened out because they would have gotten destroyed, and the same year OSU did make it to the title game). People who clamor to say he was born on 3rd base, and he chokes, will soon look ridiculous.

Ohio State can't win it all with Day as coach, doesn't matter how good the players are if the coach plays not to lose and then does in the big games.
To be fair every the past 3 years Michigan has been cheating and it is Obvious. Second when they played Georgia the year before that team was just better and there defense was huge and made them attempt that impossible (for college) field goal.

Considering Michigan had 3 wins in the first 20 years, and had a great run for a few years with a lot of seniors, it is easy to talk trash, despite the questionable ethics of the Harbaugh era. The teams of the last three years are gone while Ohio State is now the veteran team. You had better hope the Buckeyes only lay 40 on the Wolverines. But of course by the time Michigan comes in to Columbus it will already be out of contention and probably will be facing sanctions. The future of both teams will be going in opposite directions by then.

I know that’s the past, but this is possible the most loaded, and best team ever in the history of college football!
