Out of all only DWC is targeting for a wider audience and doing something good for the new watch enthusiasts.
I disagree i think india needs micro brands like jwc and bwc which are going out of the box and making unique quality watches
Only few brands like hmt , casio , Timex can provide quality in 3000 but what these 2 brands are doing is exciting and innovative

Good to see Indian microbrands getting recognition.. i just feel people would spend 70k+ for a actual Swiss watch than a BWC. also JwC is definitely for a collector who has good amount to spend rather than someone purchasing for its utility

Love ur content. Simple and tons of info. The one reason i love all our indian watch collector community is they are supporting our indian brands especially HMT.......The only reason why Hmt is alive and breathing. Keep it up guys.

My impressions regarding the 4 brands-
DWC- I simply didn't like that they are using refurbished movements. They should use new ones, I don't think people would mind paying couple of thousands extra for that. You are educating people about watches, I don't think anyone would go for them after receiving this much input from you.
BWC- Ridiculously expensive, I can buy Tissot, Hamilton etc with that price.
JWC- The size of their target consumers are very small.
Ajwain is the winner of the battle, who is providing interesting watches in affordable price. I'd definitely check them out.
Hi Pankaj ! Congratulations for doing a good job. Very informative. I am a horologist myself with close to 100 watches of various brands purchased over decades. Of all the three brands you covered, DWC should be complimented for coming out with economical and good appearance watches. But my compliments and appreciations are for Jaipur brand. Wow, kudos ! Beautiful and vintage looking, hand made custom watches. A rarity in present times. My biggest disappointment is with Bangalore watches. Nothing inspiring, infact one of their model design / shape is a copy of Favre-Leuba. Hong Kong is the base for all these micro brand watch companies. With the kind of prices they are quoting { Bangalore watches }, one has many better and far good looking watches in and around that range.

Hello, there are 3 concerns with the Indian made watches - 1) They have poor availibity & 2) The low water resistance they offer & 3) Their price compared to those of other reputed Brands A true watch enthusiast may be ready to wait for it to be available & be ready to pay a high price like they do while buying a Rolex BUT they will not comprimise on the low WR
Do agree about stock and WR, the low production facility restricts them i think, may be slowly they have to fix these issues

Smartwatches are made to last for a few years only and say even if it worked after 10 years the hardware and the software would be considered a relic while a mechanical watch is made to last forever which makes it an antique. Glad that there are some Indian watchmakers dedicated to some serious horology. Not that we can match the swiss quality.... or why can't we?

Really liked Ajwain Sholavara S2 but it has Chinese movement in it
The seagull movement is an well renowned movement in the watch community
There are very few brands which makes mechanical chronograph movement and seagull is the cheapest of all
Even Seiko hasn't made the mechanical chronograph movement.
Again as a country sentiment , i undertand the apprehension.. but as a specs and movement it's not a bad choice

Smart watch is a necessity. I have an apple watch for my day to day office activity and information. But that does not mean, I just have this.
The overload of information that smart watches brings is not always necessary specially when you want to relax. Thats when by digital and analogs comes in. From Casio F91, Gshocks, Casio Royal, Seiko automatic, Orient Kano Big Wave, Tissot Banana, Hmt (kohinoor, Pilot, jawan, kedar etc) and several other os my watches come in. I mix and match them with my dress and enjoy them and love each one of them.
There is so much magic in collecting and wearning watches, sneakers, Embroidered jackets and books.

Sir both watches gets serviced in Mumbai/ Pune, Seiko has better resale value then Tissot, but right now tissot prx is the best but you should have a good look at the watches in some videos before buying decision

Always get watches with metal bracelets as it costs less when compared to buying a metal bracelet separately, you can always change to a leather bracelet of your choice later as they are available everywhere

Almost 10 years back Titan also had hand-wound mechanical watches with sapphire crystal that were in the 13k to 17k range, hopefully the quality materials of Banglore watch company justify their high prices.
Comparing Titan to a micro watch brand would not be justified.. But yes Titan has its heritage

Orient make top quality watches, you can get any of their model, however for 30k there are watches from seiko too which are slightly better in quality
