- Together, France and Germany strive for a new generation of armoured vehicles, the Main Ground Combat System (MGCS).
In this context, we at HENSOLDT know that a smart network of sensors will be a real game changer for ground-based combat. As proven expert and partner for optronics, radars, avionics and spectrum dominance, we developed our vision for MGCS.
For us, the biggest opportunity for the German-French project lies in the user-oriented analysis of heterogeneous information generated by different sensors within one single system. With such a smart network supported by artificial intelligence (AI), we deliver automated and detailed battlefield data, which allows a real-time reaction.
For us at HENSOLDT, this vision is the key technology for a decision-based combat management. Because whoever gains an informational advantage by the intelligent fusion of data also gains decision-making superiority. And at last, faster and more efficient decisions lead to dominance on the battlefield.

Ein T14 fährt, schießt und wird in die Truppe eingeführt. Davon ist dieses Werbevideo weit entfernt. Aktuell feiern wir uns dafür dass wir den Leo Kampfwertsteigern bis zum Rentenbescheid. Anspruch und Wirklichkeit klaffen weit auseinander.
Danke für deinen Beitrag! Es ist richtig, dass der T-14 schon ein paar Schritte in der Entwicklung weiter ist. Wir möchten jedoch darauf hinweisen, dass es sich - aus unserer Sicht als Hersteller von Sensorlösungen - beim T-14 als Weiterentwicklung des T-90 nach wie vor um einen konventionellen Kampfpanzer handelt. Für MGCS hingegen verfolgen wir bei HENSOLDT einen anderen Ansatz, der nicht mehr viel mit bisherigen Panzern und deren Kampfweise zu tun hat. Und dass der Planungs- und Koordinierungsaufwand bei internationalen Rüstungsprojekten etwas mehr Zeit in Anspruch nimmt, dürfte ebenfalls nicht überraschen 😉
@@HENSOLDT bitte nennt es leopard 3, wenigstens unoffiziel. wir deutschen müssen unser ansehen wenigstens in diesem bereich behalten
Vom T14 gibt es auch nur 20 Stück,wovon auch nur ein Teil wirklich einsatzbereit ist. Also eher noch eine Miniserie mit Prototypenkarakter. Und wir werden in den nächsten Jahren sehen wie der Westen reagieren muss. Vielleicht hat es sich ja bald auch erledigt Dank der Ukraine 😉
@@HENSOLDT Verbaut ihr eure Technologie auch in den Kampfpanzer KF51 Panther von Rheinmetall? Denn der wäre auch für die Bundeswehr interessant. Meine Mutter hatte damals bei Leitz in Wetzlar in den 70er und 80er-Jahren als technische Zeichnerin gearbeitet und für den Leo 2 die Zieleinrichtung gezeichnet. Damals kam sogar der BND und der MAD zu ihr, weil sie Verwandte in der damaligen DDR hatte. Egal in welchem Panzer eure Technologie drin ist, ich hoffe, die Bundeswehr und andere NATO-Mitglieder kaufen es. Habe schließlich von euch Aktien im Depot.

Ein wichtiger Aspekt muss die Resilienz und Wartbarkeit dieses Systems sein:
Kriegstüchtigkeit bedeutet,
dass Verluste ausgeglichen werden müssen
und beschädigtes Material Nahe der Front wieder fit gemacht werden muss
und zwar so schnell und günstig wie möglich.

Everyone seems to want to go to these networked combat systems, securing it all is going to be a nightmare.
Why should it? Military encription is far superior und Ukraine is showing how overhyped cyberwarfare really is. Nothing more than meaningless DDoS attacks and Phishing mails 😂
I honestly don't think so. It should actually be easier than for consumer software since they have more control over hardware and interfaces. End-to-end encryption and other issues of safety are pretty well solved problems, and even high end attackers have only so many vectors.
The limits of jamming are also pretty well known at this point. First of all this equipment is already designed to continue functioning/failing gracefully when jammed (like drones returning to a preset location), and secondly it's often not feasible to jam certain types of signals in the first place.
The only special military problem remaining is how to deal with lost equipment captured by the enemy. The routines used for a stolen smartphone or EC card are probably not quite up to that.
Mapping out all those transmitters definitely will faciltate targeting of those very transmitters. Why do you think that emcon was invented...

Thanks for your question! Possible similarities in visual appearance between our animation and the Polish project are just coincidental. MGCS is still in its development and the look of the future tank is not defined yet. With our clip, we wanted to show our vision for a future sensor fusion network, not the optical design.
What about APS SYSTEM?
