In hand 1, after the 10 of spades won on the first trick, I would have surmised that West had both the king and jack, and try to finesse the queen in dummy along with working to set up some spade winners in declarer. I'm still very much a novice though, could you explain if this is a good or bad idea?
You're right Spiffo. Although the King could still be with East it is unlikely. Leading a low Spade to the Queen would be reasonable during this hand also. Good catch :)
