    The comments on not taking recovery weeks or periodised training blocks at 29:10 were a little startling since it goes against everything I’ve ever read about the process of functional over-reaching followed by recovery leading to overcompensation - I thought that was a near-universally accepted principle. I know it can apply as a principle just to individual workouts followed by rest for the rest of the day, but generally it’s always built as a principle on a larger scale into larger periodised training blocks of multiple days too. If I had one complaint about the interview it’s not clarifying or challenging on this point

    hmm i improved a lot also leaving the frequency and going for greater stimuluses and longer regeneration times
