BREAKING: New York Jets To MOVE ON From Aaron Rodgers!
#newyorkjets #jets #aaronrodgers
Now Aaron Rodgers can complete the Brett Farve Cycle…joining the Vikings.
Vikings already has a quarterback n JJ McCarthy
@@RyanRe-rd6wv They had 5 qbs last year
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Think SF bro. He can win a SB on that team
@@RyanRe-rd6wv you mean Rodgers new errand boy
The Davante Adams statement yesterday was the indicator. On to the next one. Whoever that is.
Bring back Mike White
very possible that the qb room will be like the coaching staff room... all new... unless not sure if tyrod taylor have another year in his contract. id say the jets will take a qb day 2 in the draft... whoever could be... the most logical ones would be jackson dart, quinn ewers... or both qbs that played in the national championship game. AND a veteran. plenty of options this year.
Time for Travis Jordan to get his shot. I'm a big fan of Old Miss QB Jason Dart big kid with a big arm and great attitude for NYC. Make it happen new regime....
DARNOLD
Such a relief to not have this issue discussed any more. This is Glenn’s team now ! Not sure what the future will be like but at least we will be moving forward. Right choice!
Amen
Why spend money to see a team that will loose 10 to 12 games again ?
Mekhi was told here that he was useless
Now he is a Superbowl Champion
@@uberbossbaixadasantista8701he was told that by the last regime - not this one
All due respect for AR, but today's game needs a mobile QB such as Mahomes, Allen, Jackson etc. Can't have a guy playing QB behind a porous OL who can't run and make a play when receivers are covered and the line breaks down.
So who do they get??
And what exactly do you do in the meantime?
Jets OL is excellent
DA, Lazard bye bye.
Too many drops.
Good move in the long term. Short term we might struggle but this is good for the future.
"we might struggle".
Short term 4 win team. Long term still gonna suck
We were gonna struggle regardless. Rip the bandage off.
Is it though? We have a lot of guys in prime and they won't stick around. Wilson breece sauce johnson. They want to win now not in 2 season
@ a lot of guys that will either be past their prime or want to get paid or probably leave.
Hey, Glenn is doing things his way! You have to respect it! Let's finally move on!!!
Why respect doing things a stupid way.
Amen! I knew AG and Mougey would get this right. Move on
It’s best for the organization going forward
Yeah , that was told too when Rex leave
We will reach 20 years without a play-off appearance
Jets had to turn the page. Gotta change the culture one way or the other.
I hate it for 2025 but like it for the long term. We need a clean slate and have to start building for the future.
The Jets will not make it to the playoffs for the next five years. Good luck with your dumpster fire organization.
@@JustinCtheRealtorOf course you actually have no idea.
@@JustinCtheRealtor you are a grown man with a wife and kids and you are screaming at strangers on the internet because they like the Jets. I’d start rebuilding your own life and focus less on the Jets own rebuild.
Jets have been rebuilding for the past 14 years. When do they stop rebuilding and start winning?
@@wraynephew6838 what’s your point? What’s this comment have to do with Aaron Rodgers
In Travis we trust ✈️🙏 #JETLIFE
2 years for a broken leg? I don’t know man
@@mikeggg1979he’s been fully healed for over a year, you’re an 1diot.
Really don’t understand the outrage. The writing has been on the wall for months what’s so surprising
How about: the handwriting’s been on the wall since the 1st nanosecond that he became a Jet?
How about
Why spend a cent on a team that will have at least 2 loosing seasons ?
perfect news on Super Bowl Sunday
Can we please fire 🔥🔥🔥 Hackett immediately!!!
He isn't already gone?
He outie like Curt gowdie !
Hackett is already gone. We have a whole new coaching staff.
You honestly think Hackett is still here with this new coaching staff?
I think this is the right move for both parties
This is a disaster for the Jets and the right move for Rogers, who will play on the Vikings or the 49ers and make the Jets look like clowns again. We just gave up all that draft For him he was out one year with an injury last year was his first year back this year is when he was gonna pour it onand prove everybody wrong. I couldn’t wait to see him this year. I guess I’ll root for whatever team he goes to I’m still rooting for my hapless Jets. Same old shit since 1970.
Solid move! Everything feels different in a good way. Im excited to see what this front office and AG do to build this team. G Wilson will be a focal point as he should be.
Totally agreed!!! It goes totally beyond the on field product, which was not very good the first 9-10 games if we can all admit it….plus there is a longer term vision to consider and the first time we will get the chance to reset at OC, HC, Gm and QB
The first time? We’ve been resetting all of them since 1970.
let’s see a first-time head coach defensive coordinator, a new coaching staff GM, and a search for a quarterback. The 12-Year Loop is now complete
Yeah ok… the same old jets would have kept a 41 aging Rodgers to appease the fans. How many wins did Rodgers produce last season … 5 😂😂😂
@@bdemantttand how many seasons we will have next season ?
@@uberbossbaixadasantista870110+ easily.
@@bdemantttoh give me a break, keeping Rodgers was absolutely the right move and the jets would have been very smart to keep him.
@@ladistarhow is keeping a QB who only won you 5 games the right move for the team? You can get the same number of wins from a long list of average QBs. Let’s face it Rodgers was no longer worth the headache and can’t have a guy who thinks he’s bigger than the 53 Jets need someone who is 1 of 53.
Good Riddens Seriously enough was enough
Lmao "riddens"
''MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY'' Aaron RodgersGONE‼✊😂
It's for the best. Sucks It didn't work out. But he's one year older and too much of a cap liability. Smart decision by the new regime
I seriously can’t believe people think Rodgers is the answer. He is turning 41 and last season was catered to him in every way and produced 5 wins. He only gets older and more injury prone. This move saves our future and the thing fans don’t see is past next year. This is the right move, the same old jets keep him and run it back to satisfy the fans. We are doing something different 🙏🏽
Nobody is saying he’s the answer… obviously it would only be for one more year most likely.
6 losses were DIRECTLY attributed to the kicker and the defense. All he can do is put them in position to win and he did that. I'll be generous and say 5 losses. Turn those around and it's a 10-7 record
Now watch the jets go 0 and 17 and the qb is trash.
But who’s at QB. Just can’t wait for another 8 TD passing season
@johnstrika9170 so what, did you watch the Bills game a month and a half ago? How can anyone be that upset?
Jordan Travis time
😅 Not yet!
@@willfitz94 let’s see how he does at camp !
Hopefully he can get healthy. Lots of talent.
Jordan Travis has been injured for over a year . Anyone mentioning him is delusional
Hopefully he will be healthy
It's about F'n time! Thanks you Coach Glenn.
It's a NEW DAY! 🌄
No it’s not
Hive minds love it.
... YES IT IS!!
@ Same ol result in the AFC East
It's a new day, but it's still the same old Jets.
Did Nothing for us last year that cant be replaced with a back up QB can not give us
GOOD. GET TA STEPPIN!
Finally we start making the best moves for this team and organization. I'm a huge Rodgers fan mainly cause I'm a huge Cal Golden Bears fan. But he didn't work out and I'm an bigger JETS fan than I ever will be a player fan.
Money wise best move to make. For a overhauled NEW regime this is a huge SMART move and tells us fans, WE WILL NOT BE THE SAME OLD JETS!
I'm pumped
Glenn/Moo are making their footprint known
Good more by Jets!
I like the move. If we win more than 5 games in the 2025 season, it's a success. 💪💯🙏..... Let's go Jets!
Yh
And this eliminates all the distractions so you don't have to worry about your quarterback going on Pat McAfee every Tuesday talking about the team you want to start fresh and build your culture
Thank you for finally mentioning Jordan Travis 😂😂😂 I want to really see what he’s got
He’s not ready to play next year
Yeah You will be saying that about the string of QBs they bring out over the next 5 years But who knows they may luck inro one (: Is there a guy named Brady in the latter rounds in the QB classes in the next years lol Go jets thank for the rebuild that never ends
He will never play for us. Move on
@@Str8truth24 I knew I’d find you in another comment section 🤡
@@willfitz94 who the hell are you ? 😂
Moving on is the right thing. Rodgers is obviously declining. Start new with a new QB.
Which quarterback?????
3800 yards 28 tds 11 int coming off an Achilles is declining? I’ll take that
Would be poetic if he signs elsewhere and absolutely mops us this year
Yea wait on it.
That is exactly what’s gonna happen. My bet is Minnesota or the 49ers.
I wasn’t a fan of the Glenn hiring, but I think the Jets finally grew some balls. I didn’t like this guy at 41 with all his antics, but now I see we finally have a head coach.
Agree with you, JC. It’s the only choice. The new regime can’t risk a veteran QB not buying into the new program and potentially undercutting the HC’s authority.
Thank goodness we’re moving on from Rodgers. Time to build a team and culture! Get that big cap hit over with this as soon as possible! Go JETS!!!
Damn 😂😂😂 we are fucked from the QB position
They have Jordan Travis you m0ron
You and Tyson’s pod is going to be a movie tomorrow🤩I can’t wait
A part of me wish we could keep Rogers but he's 41. Moving forward with this new coaching staff and front office is the best decision at the end of day.
This is the best thing for this franchise
1,000,000% the right move - now use the 7th pick overall on OL which sends the message: we're not going to picking this high for a ling, long time. Let's go Jets.
Aaron Rodgers is not the reason we had 5 wins. The dysfunctional offense put up at least 2 TDs a game, which is about 2 TDs a game more than we had with Zach Wilson. People shouldn’t forget that.
and Why do you think that Rodgers is not partly responsible for that? Rodgers missing open receivers all year.
@ As opposed to Zach Wilson?
@@wraynephew6838The kicker cost us at least 3 games
And i will not even mention the defense
Gareth and Hall are the Kings of Drops
Sauce cant do a tackle
Why to put everything only on the QB ?
Going by the majority of comments, it seems AR was responsible for all the Jets 2024 shortcomings. Last I checked, entering the "win now " 2024 season, considering the overall talent, the playoff contending formula was a game manager QB who minimized TO's coupled with the "elite" defense and decent ST play. To be fair, while not perfect, the Jets offense took leads into the 4th quarter in multiple games that the D couldn't preserve. Seems the new mantra is "moving on" as opposed to "winning now". For me if moving on from AR translates to wins I'm onboard, otherwise, another rebuilding process evokes feelings none short of PTSD. GO JETS!
Its now over we can get a QB kurt kousins and pickup a Wide Receiver Cooper kupp as #2 backup behind Garrett Wilson as
#1 and plus we can extend Wilson's contract...!!
Ian but your right on the spot. 😊
So who is our QB?
Jared Goff
@@Njbear7453that would be nice.
It don't matter! It ain't like they gone win a Superbowl next year anyways 🙄 🫡
It's the right call. Keeping a QB past the age of 40 is a huge risk, even if that quarterback is someone like Aaron Rodgers
Bill Walsh’s said that he would rather move on from a player a year earlier than a year later past his prime. Well ARod’s was a few years ago.
Jaxon dart!
Totally agree with this..looking forward to see what this new collection of coaches and administrators can accomplish!
"Would Rodgers buy in?" was alwasys my biggest question mark. I don't believe he would. I mean, after he was traded from the Packers, the pundits said that LaFleur could finally run his offense. I just don't see Rodgers giving up full control
Love the decision start fresh I really think the best option is Justin Fields if this coaching staff is as good as we think they can get the most out of him
Hell no
No.
@@718World first whats a legit reason and second who else u gonna get that’s gonna have a chance to win games ??
@@miguelpadilla31 same question reason and who u plan on bringing in ? Bc yall say no and not even have a real reason besides goin off a trash bears team and the horrible OC he had in Pittsburgh
This is great news. This is what I would do if I was the HC. Ask him point blank, “Hey are you wanting to come back and play this year?” If he gives some wishy washy answer I’ll decide for him. You’re out. We need players who want to be here.
Rogers had fewer wins than with Zach Wilson. When Rogers was with the Packers, Wilson and the Jets beat him. The Jets were so stupid thinking Rogers would be their savior,
The cap hit is too much for a top 10 qb in his late 20s. The cap hit for a 5 win qb in his 40s is insane. This is a no brainer move.
Glad we’re moving on, I believe this is where things will turn around, we don’t need the spotlight we sold our soul for him & it didn’t work out, put our heads down, time to turn into a serious football team, culture change is needed like yesterday!
💯
I would take a chance on Jalen Milroe if he makes it past rd 2-3. Let him develop and compete.
Pats fan here: this was a boss move by the jets. Dont take crap from this bad guy Rodgers.
This news is the first time I’ve been excited about this team in 2 years
Aaron Glenn said it multiple times. He wants to build sustained success. All we can do is believe in him and the organization/staff (not much to believe in) but ay man we’ve made it this far.
Love it. Especially them telling him they’re moving on
I finally come to the conclusion that someone said that Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams were gone and while I thought that was crazy, I’m coming to the realization that it’s the right move.
With a new coaching staff, new philosophy and a new direction it’s going to be a couple of maybe seasons before the Jets are legitimate contenders for just a playoff spot. I know they’ll be competitive. I know they’ll be in a lot of games, but I’m just tired of all this Drama for lack of a better word.
If they’re following the example of the Detroit Lions, that is certainly a goal worth achieving. I’m praying for success for jets and hopefully we can join the elite board club who continue to make the playoffs in a year out, but that’s years away.
New Regime=no baggage from the last regime
Clean slate, Denver, Texans, and several other teams hit the restart button. Let's get behind this new coach and GM......................let's go Jets
If you want to make the playoffs next year how can you be for this move?
Not surprised at all Denver MO 101. The GM saw what an aging QB does on a team that's not ready. Denver ate the biggest dead cap hit but, it cleared future money faster in 26 Denver has a ton of cap space in 26 . Smart move by the Jets. 25 and 26 might be lean for the Jets but, if they are headed in the right direction going forward all the better. I would focus on trading 25 #1 for more future assets if I was the Jets. Play the long game and build a team right. Note one reason the Lions got good fast is they drafted well but, also had EIGHT top 100 picks in two drafts.
Give me a Tyrod, Justin Fields and Jordan Travis QB competition for 1 year until we draft a QB next year. Draft Tyler Warren as well
Agreed Agreed and Agreed!!! My thoughts exactly!
@ right! & we have some developmental talent in the late rounds at QB & in the trenches. We will be fine.
Justin Fields??? Seriously dude! Don't be silly
@ no seriously. Fields played well last season & just needs a chance
Honestly if I can I’m drafting Will Howard with the 92nd Pick and with the 188th pick drafting Kurtis Rourke. Yup I said it and would do it. Let Tyrod start, Travis, Howard and Rourke push and compete against each other. 3 young QB’s fighting to win a position! fuck maybe this will teach them to take the position seriously and their study and learn to read a defense and maybe pull a receiver to the side and ask if they can get extra reps in after practice somewhere and continue to practice after practice
I'd love to see Aaron start an old jocks pro golf tour, tying to PGA, or LPGA tour events...2 day tourneys that could even use the pros as practice rounds with the jocks prior to the main tour event...monitizes two events in one. LPGA players teamed with jocks in pro's practice rounds would be fun and not too expensive if you get a tv deal for it.
Having Tyrod Taylor as QB is just like saying "Lets tank for the 2026 draft". Which puts this team in yet another rebuilding mode. They better have a better plan if they are going to have the player's full support.
Rodgers was probably like yes no maybe and the Jets decided not to play the waiting game to me its a good move
I heard the rumors all day today... but was waiting for your video to confirm. Not gonna lie, I was kinda hoping Rodgers would stay for one more year as that veteran bridge QB as Aaron Glenn begins to rebuild. I think he coulda helped with all his experience. But now that it's official, I am also kinda relieved. I didn't want this decision to drag on too long. Now that it's decided, I'm gonna get behind Aaron Glenn 1,000%. I am not looking back at what coulda been. The Aaron Rodgers era is over. Time to move on. We're still gonna need a veteran bridge QB to mentor Jordan Travis or whichever young QB the Jets pick up along the way. So lots of questions linger again about the QB position. Which does make me nervous. But Glenn is a man on a mission, and I am buying into his vision. Lets Go Jets!
Here's the thing.... We've have so much Sub Par play from the Qb position that Rodgers even though he had one of the best seasons as a Jets Qb it doesn't mean much. Our Qb play has been disastrous and the bar is set super low. The fact that we committed to him is crazy instead of looking for the future. 2024 draft Bo Nix drafted right after OLU. Now I like the OLU pick but Rodgers hurt 2 years and beat up and we double down instead of saying let's find the future while Rodgers is here.
Bring in tet McMillan!!!’
If Aaron Glenn wants a Jared Goff type, perhaps they could take Jaxson Dart in the 2nd round and start next season with Tyrod Taylor as the gap QB.
Excellent!!!!! Get the Diva & Hackett out of there!!!! Great Job Jets & now I'm back with my full support.
I have a feeling they’re going to chance a QB in the draft, either Dart or preferably Will Howard.
Do we trade up for Shedeur or Cam? Should we prepare Jordan Travis for the future? A lot of questions that I’m curious to see how they answer them. Great video bro!
Makes sense for me. You don't want Rodger's personality to be at the detriment to the new coach.
I’m sad, but I understand. This staff deserves a clean slate, time to see what they can do!
media gonna act like we made a mistake but thank god
I AGREE 100%, GREAT VIDEO!!!!!
Thank you God.. Let’s get a young Mobile QB in here and live w the results
I can see both sides of the argument, but I honesyly woyld have prefered to keep him. I agree we need to start a rebuild and not try to go for it, but even for that plan I think Rodgers would be the best choice for a brodge QB. I'm not sure if it's ofdicial yet, but I hope if it isn't we do keep him.
Go for it? Go for what? We won 5 games last season. The man was a terrible locker room Presence. Zero leadership qualities and he ranked 23rd in QBR. Plus he can’t move if the line breaks down what’s the point? You want to see that again?
The jets are finally doing it right. The oh typical jets move would have been keeping Rodgers and destroying our future cap just for one more season
This is the right decision. Looking forward to a fresh start.
Right move! Rodgers was my all time favorite QB, was super excited to see him as a Jet. We took a shot, didn’t work out. Move along. His career is close to an end but the Jets will continue its path
Time for Jordan Travis
I'm good with this move. This is a new regime, and need a fresh start. Glenn needs to make his mark how he wants this team to be.
I knew Woody would announce it today to get in the paper on SB Sunday - What a Crazy Crazy organization
Here we go again with another fresh start. Same old Jets.
Can’t say I’m that surprised whatever avenue they choose will be wrong
Thank goodness!! Now we can clear him and Adams from the roster and start to prepare hardcore for the draft. Why put off the inevitable? Aaron Glenn should be applauded for tearing off the band-aid now instead of later.
🎉 JETUP🤘🎉
It made no sense to go with a first time head coach and GM and keep Rodgers around. We could have a dominant defense this year if we prioritize the right signing in FA. The cap savings you get from cutting Adams and Lazard can get you another dominant interior D-lineman to play next to Q, plus an elite safety. I would draft T-Mac if available or Trade Back and draft a CB like Morrison (Notre Dame). As a former CB and college scout, I think Glenn will be able to find great talent in the draft to fit his scheme.
On offense we have one of the best running back duo in the league and a Stud wide receiver in Garrett Wilson. Establish your identity as a run first / play action offense this year and then go find your long term Quarterback next year.
I definitely understand and will support the move even though I like AR, but I really want to know what the plan is
Let's wait for the official statements. Not the noise.
JC in my opinion this is a good move if only you guys do not go for a veteran like Derek Carr, Kirk Cousins, Jimmy G or something like that. You need someone younger like Darnold (although i am not the biggest fan but at least think of the story). a young guys like Hendon Hooker or Malik Willis getting a shot as QB1 or draft a QB. Does not matter people think is not a good class and you will not get Shadeur or Cam, maybe Dart or other QB is a future franchise qb
I love it! Top 5 worst trades in NFL history!
