I have been following her on the news lately and it was great to hear from her in her origin language. “Weapons of Math Destruction” the book Dr. Gebru has mentioned in the interview by Cathy O’Neil is a great book. I had to read it for one of my classes in college and I still have the book. It has a lot of answers to many questions we might have around AI and technology. Additional books that might help... I learned computer science for two years (I had to quit unfortunately) when I was in back home (Eritrea), and I remember that we had never practiced practically and we never have known computers since that year. You right that was our biggest problem too.

this is the struggle i face with young girls in regards for math. keep hammering that #1 they are not beneath any one if they put their mind to it #2 math is not reading you practice by writing
