If you freeze the video at 5:36, it should look like that. The 4 way control, nothing should really stop it moving to all 4 positions, as its just a plastic wheel. If you still have problems, let me know and I'll take mine apart and see if anything stands out that could be causing a problem.

Help! I cleaned my catmate but the spring mechanism fell out and not the 4 way control will only select locket or out only...
