Great video I have one request because your info is so helpful. YOUR VIDEOS ARE EXCELENT THANK U
Thx for the vid I been looking into this and I’m going to start my company soon
Thank you bro! Been looking to get into the cargo van business recently this week, never knew they made as much as truckers which is insane! This advice has helped me think of a different avenue of attack for starting my business step by step. In one video a guy recommended renting an office space so your physical address is not listed, never heard of a registered agent! Very helpful info.
Really glad you found my channel and were able to get something from it, that's what it's about. Yea I think Reg Agent is the best option. Your prior experience, I'm sure you'll have great success, best wishes to you.
@BigCJCargoVan Thank you brotha! Keep the hustle on we are all proud of you! You got my sub allways.
I'm looking into the business myself. Love the video. Wish it was longer...lol
Now go gettem!!!! If you put in 8-10 hrs , 3-4 days a week, you’d pay that van off double time
Thank You brother for the information. I know you weee getting uncomfortable on the length of the video, I loved all the info and the insight you provided. I could have enjoyed your advice for another 30 minutes 😅
Lol, appricate U and glad to help. I am planning on doing another video much shorter now that I'm getting more experience.
Great job
I'm just starting out on this journey brother and just purchased my 1st van. Looking forward to following along with you on this journey as I plan to get started asap as well! Keep up the good work! This is very encouraging.

Absolutely, watch videos, take notes, and definitely study your market. I know some of these gig apps are not in every city. Best of wishes to you👊🏾
Thanks for sharing. I'm very Interested to do this on 4 months from now.
Good luck to you, do your research and you have to put your heart into this, there can be moments of stress. Saving enough start-up money will save you a lot of stress

very good info, one thing you forgot is yr medical card (if hauling freight under MC& Us dot numbers)(mec or dot card)is around 80 to 100 bucks
Off work and still going learn something
Hey brother it's miguel from Florida I try to get in the cargo van I appreciate all the help
Wild I got the exact same billiards on my wall since 1982 all hand painted only 1 I've eve seen I used to sell expensive adjustable beds also 😅I'm being 💯
Great advice and information I really appreciate this Is it a way too work on weekends until I can leave my job
Thank you, most of these apps are not for weekends. I know GoShare has orders on weekends, but very few.
Im going to use my pu truck starting out
Good stuff.. 42 mins 👍🏿🤛🏿
Thanks for the info! I am starting out. I have to buy used. I've never financed anything and I will not. I can get a very good used van with lower miles for $5000-$7000. I am still looking. I refuse, as you said, to just buy anything. I am excited to get my DOT and MC numbers. Thank you so much for this great video!
No sir, I didn't cut it off. I watched the whole thing. Very useful information for someone like me who is a month out from buying my van. This is the video I needed, someone from my area as well. Im positive I will run into you one day, remember this comment! All love brother.
Thank you for sharing. Your video is very detail. I ❤ it. Which load boards do you use? I have a 16 foot box truck.
Thank you, no loadboards right now. I have DAT on my phone but never used it. I don't want to pat the subscription yet. Just doing gig apps right now, Dispatch, GoShare and Frayt.
@@BigCJCargoVan You are doing very good, with the gig apps. Keep growing.
Thanks for sharing!
I also would like to see about tax and tax deduction as LLC.
Like how much gas could be deductible and your van or truck .
I know you are not a lawyer nor CPA, but paying tax AFTER business expenses is one of the beauty of owning a business 😊.
I will definitely share that info, next year will be my 1st time filing taxes as a new business owner.
MC is for when you upscale and get drivers for the business cause when you get the MC I've heard you have 2 to 3 months to get the cargo insurance which as soon as you get it your MC would be fully active that insurance is like 1500 a month alone . I could be wrong tho
Yea, almost right. To maintain MC you need to keep minimum required commercial insurance of 300k liability and 5k cargo. I pay $500 per month. If you use your MC for contract route or OTR, you will need to increase to 1 mil liability and 100k cargo. That's when it gets really expensive. I'm just maintaining mine so it can continue to mature.
If you have passenger insurance, then do you have commercial plates?
Just helping out the EIN is free to get with your Secretary of State and it ONLY tells the government how to tax you.
For business credit you should register for a FREE DUNS number with Dun & Bradstreet (biggest business credit bureau) this is what you use to establish your business creditworthiness (may have to pay) some job boards even utilize it to see if your capabilities before awarding you a job.
When you provide your EIN financial institutions are just going to use whichever credit report is better. Since most businesses never report business expenses, vendors, and revenue they use your personal which eliminates the whole point of an LLC
Awesome content.👏! 5 stars man.! wishing you the best in your business.!!! How can one reach out to you.??
Thank you, best contact is via email on my description page
CargoVanBusinessBoss@gmail.com
with mc you'll need cargo insurance and if you already have cargo insurance, then might aswell get the mc and go otr and make the money
I'm having a hard time getting a rental van and it's a bit pricey on my end. I'm trying to start so I can finally have financial freedom
Yea, it's hard to decide if you want to rent or buy starting off. I personally don't like the idea of renting, but I do know some people have success with it. Continue to do your research, that's most important. Wish you the best 👍🏾
People always want to talk about buying something new like everybody got it like that by within your budget folks if you can get into the game with a used truck do it. Everybody doesn’t have the credit or the cash to put down on a new truck. Don’t let that discourage you I don’t have a new truck and I’m doing fine been in the business two years. Where there’s a will, there’s a way.
Can't argue with you there. I seen some vehicles with 400k miles making money. They smokin up the joint but stay within your limits and the growth will take care of the rest. Start when and where you can. Appreciate the comment and wish you the best in your business 👍🏾
Hey thanks for the info very helpful quick question which van do u prefer a Ram or ford transit
Mr. CJ , i want start Gig app , with a rent car or cargo van, could you explain what i need to start?
If I open a basic LLC , do i still need DOT and insurance?
Do i need a manager just for local gig app?
I want start very simple so i can make a cash flow to grow.
I appreciate it Sr.
What if you live on a border of a state but you use gig apps and it takes you into that state... is regular insurance still Adequate... Thank you very much for all this information... it doesn't matter how long the video is, it's a lot of good information in one spot, and if a stupid SoB can't hold their attention to learn what they need, because the video is too long .. well then they deserve to learn the hard way.
These apps you can't look at any freight to haul until you get mc# etc .. am I correct about this
Thanks brother 👍🏻
LLCs or INCs also protect you with your taxes. You will be an employee of your LLC , your LLC pays you a salary and you in turn pay your taxes according to that salary and not by how much your company made. It’sa HUUUUGE difference taxes wise.
SALUTE!!!
I started with sleep number too now I do final Mile
Nice, yea good company, but it was time to make moves. Best wishes to you!
@Big CJ thank you brotha tryna make some money now I'm doing final Mile through Pilot with loews
Top of the morning bro. 3 part question for you. Did you refinance it on your personal or business? Secondly what bank you used? Lastly, was it a commercial vehicle Refinance or a regular vehicle Refinance? Thanks for your time💪🏿
Personal loan and refinance. Can't share my bank info based on the way the loan is. It is a credit union tho. Did a regular veh refinance.
@Big CJ Got it and I totally understand. Thanks. So these sprinter vans fall under a regular vehicle. That's good to know.
Great video. I have a CDL-A and current medical card with hazmat and tanker endorsments. I have been driving an 18 wheeler for a couple of years. I want to get into the expediting cargo van business. Does having a CDL-A license give me an advantage in this business?
I think so, you should be making big money with that class A. I don't know, seems like you'd be taking a step back getting into the Cargo Van Business. It's money in this, but not like big rig drivers, at least not that I know of
@@BigCJCargoVan Thank you for your valuable advice. I will definitely keep your suggestions in mind as I move forward. Your guidance is greatly appreciated.
That’s Great, You’re gonna have a better advantage, Cheaper insurance than non cdl driver, and everything 🔥🔥
I have a cdl A as well. Being able to just drive as a company driver has benefits. Driving a cargo van without inspections and weigh stations would be nice though. Fitting anywhere a car can go, like gyms would be cool. With a tractor, you have a nice bed, a tv, microwave and refrigerator, and I don’t think you’ll get those luxuries with a cargo van. You also don’t have to worry about finding loads or paying any expenses if you drive truck. If you do decide to go the cargo van route, please let us know how it goes.
@@JASHALL10 Thank you for your valuable advice. I will definitely keep your suggestions in mind as I move forward. Your guidance is greatly appreciated. I'll keep you updated on my plans.
Get your DNB number now if you plan to use it at all. Always better to have stuff like that done and out of the way when you actually need it. Never want to see like you're scrambling for money or credit.
I got a 650 quote progressive yesterday
That's an awesome deal. Progressive seems to be the most popular insurance for commercial insurance. Wish you the best 👍🏽
It's nice information video appreciate it. I have question, im thinking about this kind of job. If i strat my business so i can find a load its easy or not?
2nd question if i buy my cargo van and insurance so i make money on it and again can find load with app or something different??
Thank you!
Kinda scary to take the carriage before the horse approach and buy a van prior to having business set up nor clients/carriers because it’s now a personal debt and going against personal utilization and putting 15k down is rough so many better ways to cash flow that money currently you can find a nice 2015/2016 t250 around 16-20k and that could have paid it in almost full then brought you a second driver.
Yes, that insurance is expensive with Progressive. They wanted 7,thousand down monthly 3, thousand. That's more than some tractor trailer.....What is the best company to go with.
Wow, well I have progressive and I've never heard of anyone paying 3k a month with a cargo van. I've seen people pay up to $1,700. How's your driving record? I don't understand why you were quoted so high. Progressive is the most popular and usually has the best rates. You can try some 3rd party companies that will search for the best rates for you, but progressive usually beats every other company.
Thanks for sharing Man . I only have a bout 7 grand to invest in this business right now . Would you suggest that I wait and save a little more before moving forward?.
You can get a virtual address FYI
But thanks for that registration agent
Also. After some research I found YT videos that give links to lenders that will give a loan for a van. And they use the van a s collateral in case your business can't make payments.
And you never said if
your van is under your LLC
Appreciate the comment. My van is in my name, not the business. Had to do that to get my low 3.7 interest rate. Once paid off, it's going in the business name
You definitely need business credit , for instance you can take your van & refinance it again through your business credit with your business bank account
You need business credit asap. Do it with Navy Federal. That's how your business will grow fast. Use it for gas/ equipment and vehicle payment everything else. Pay off every month. Great video. 👍
Appreciate that info, I have a NFCU account already, I will be building business credit.
The other benefit of a business credit card is that you can also earn miles/points/cash back in those cards, and you personally can spend those earned credits on whatever it is you want to, it doesn’t have to be for the business. Earn and use the banks money, not your own.
@@BigCJCargoVan Can you still change your business address even if you started with your home address?
@MajorrBison yes you do this my updating your LLC
@@BigCJCargoVan I don't have Navy, but i do have Pentagon Credit union...will that due?
