Sorry for being out the past few weeks everybody! Cracked my wisdom tooth and needed an emergency extraction, then had a bad cold followed by an ear infection. Feeling better and happy to be back now though!
I really enjoy your videos - you get right into the content and have a great way of explaining the purpose of a product, but also its benefits. Simple, no fuss. Much appreciated. Cheers from Washington DC.
Big fan of the collapsible cup. Have had the Walmart version for years - no ridges though so you have to hold it around the lip for hot stuff (still remember that I paid $1 for it). Also have much of the same gear you have. My hiking buddies have went the way of pour overs....I still choose to rough it with the folgers freeze dried single packs. Hike on!
Haha I can definitely appreciate the simplicity in the single coffee packs, I love my pour over but I could see doing that again if I’m gearing up for a longer trail and want to save some weight/time. Fought the mug for a while but I’m glad I picked one up, much nicer to drink from compared to my pot!
I treat my base clothing with permethrin and always carry a tick remover with me in my med kit. So far it’s worked for me, ticks aren’t nearly as rampant here in the west compared to the east coast though.
@@joshfenn that is good to know! I do a lot of gravel bike riding and just started using permethrin, so far has been working. Ya unfortunately live on the east coast and they are crazy over here. Thanks for getting back so quickly! :) love your videos!
No problem! I’m legitimately terrified of getting Lyme disease and am always worried about it even out here. I grew up in Michigan where ticks were way more prevalent like the east coast, but there are a few spots I hike in central Oregon that can get pretty bad. Permethrin has worked so far, hopefully it keeps working for both of us!
Any backpacking trips already planned for this year? 👇

I was wondering what happened to you man! Glad you’re feeling better!

So happy to hear this, thanks for the e support!
Hope you feel better Josh! I had two wisdom teeth out and a root canal last week. The pain is real…
Not 100% healed yet but so happy to be feeling like myself again after such a rough couple of weeks. Hope you’re starting to feel better too!
Random question Josh! What size desk do you use for your unboxings/overhead shots?
48”x24” 👍 was a bit worried about the depth compared to my old 60x36 desk/table, but it’s worked really well for me so far.
@@joshfenn Looks great! Also wanted to thank you for one of your past videos discussing the Tripped packing/compression cubes! They are lifesavers!
Glad to hear that! I’ve been really happy with them too

Of course, thanks for the support!
What do you use to prevent tick bites?

@@joshfenn haha I am absolutely in the same boat as you there! That’s great to hear, I will keep on going with that then.
