Great review of the crossbow and unboxing. Since I've been looking to purchase my first crossbow, I believe I found the one. Thanks for the review and the helpful information!
@@bushjordanhuntsman01 Thank you for the informative video, I just bought one of these bad boys to replace the sa sports 260 rage. I'm hoping it holds up good. The last new Xbow I bought the whole rear stock broke after cranking it 3 times centerpoint 425 amped.
@@jasonvors1922you’re welcome! Definitely recommend keeping a small screwdriver with you in case of crank grip becoming loose. In addition, when cocking place the stock in the lowest setting to maintain stock health. I am glad my video was helpful to you! Happy shooting and hunting!
@@adambinkley5174 Awesome! Glad you were able to make a decision based on my review! Thank you for your comments! Let Basspro know that Aaron “Bush” Jordan gave great information! 😁 I am shooting Exodus crossbow fix blade. Also shooting Rage Chisel tip crossbow mechanical blade. Both fly well! Both have amazing reviews. Good luck and happy hunting! Hit the subscribe button if you haven’t already 😄
You picked a good crossbow man. I have three Barnett crossbows. The TS380, XP380, and XP400. Never had any issues with any of them in the two and a half years of owning them. The only thing I can recommend is a good "BROADHEAD" target. The (Rinehart 18-1), and (Morrell High Roller) broadhead targets are both good for broadheads but not good for field points. Field points will get stuck in a broadhead target because the hole in the target is the same size as the arrow shaft and will melt to the arrow due to friction, making it almost impossible to get out without breaking the arrow. But, broadheads pull out easily. They're kinda pricey but if you hunt, you will need to sight your crossbow in to the broadheads you will be hunting with. Because most broadheads don't fly like field points. You will tear the one you have there to pieces if you shoot broadheads into it. But it's definitely good for field points. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I am a seasoned veteran when it comes to crossbows. Thanks for the review man and be safe.
Would y'all say the xp 380 is just as good as the xp390 or the stalker 390? Trying to find out before I make my first purchase thanks! @michaelcurtis8114
Barnett xp400 with cranking device $299. Lol at cabelas. Just bought 1 for my neighbor. Works great. Actually buying another for a backup for my tenpoint.
Barnett has been in the game long enough. Their crossbows should not be making noise when you crank it. They should also come up with a decocking system that is innovative and safe.
The plastic crank cap cover that goes on the opposite side of the crank handle..is there a trick to this thing? It doesn't snap in or screw in ?? It just falls off when you turn the bow on its side?
Great video! I went thru the exact same steps. Very happy with the 405 from Bass Pro!

second the ts380 i think keeping these crossbows to 400 FPS and slower really make them more reliable
Thank you for your feedback! Much appreciated. Happy hunting

Seems like they would provide a tool for scope adjustments.
Keep your fingers out of the "triangle of death" when you are loading. You could lose a finger if the bow fires.

@@goldentrucker7921 It was probably a returned crossbow. So they can't sell it at retail price.
@@michaelcurtis8114 Its new on their site for that price.
The turrets are made so you don't need tools to adjust them.Use your fingers

Sure wish there was an assembly video on UA-cam.
Where did u get the cocking device
@@TatonMors the cocking device comes with this particular Barnett. Just go to Basspro.com and type in Barnett xp 390 with crank! Hope this helps!
