I remeber hearing Tricky really wanted to collaborate with Kurt Cobain (obviously back in 90s)...it's amazing how diverse his inspirations are...from local artists/personalities to global icons...there are people on records that he doesn't even know there names/ just saw that they cud sing and had some good lyrics... Tricky is my favorite all-time recording artist
Ricky G I was just about knocked on my ass when I learned Tricky had opened for TOOL years ago. I never would have considered connecting the two, but it makes sense. Seems like Tricky & Maynard could probably be good mates. Both very intelligent & well-spoken.
Vulnerable and Mixed Race are the only Tricky albums i'm kinda "eh" on. He's at his best bein dark and cryptic, like a sensitive boy hiding in a dark paranoid back alley of crime, corruption, drugs, sex, and pain
