I love it! ‘I have been getting a lot of questions about Triads lately. Maybe it’s the same person asking over and over” that’s great. This was really helpful. Thank you Marty
Learning the concepts always helps me lock it in. Excellent lesson, thank you for this, Marty. Fun fact: my bank is giving out guitar picks as their swag. That's how regular it is for people to need guitar picks now!😉
6 months in to learning the guitar and I was a little intimidated about the idea of having to learn triads as I felt that I would have a difficult time grasping the information; however, Marty proved me wrong. Such a great teacher and an amazing guitar player/person. Truly an inspiration!
Thanks for sharing when playing with others you don't want to play the same chord voicing frequency together. This is where Triad helps to get the different sounds in the upper, middle or lower register of the strings and how to play them correctly.
Two thumbs up for this lesson. Really helped me get to the next level with my soloing. Everything just seemed to click and I'm playing all over the fret board with confidence.
😃It's Technique Tuesday❤. Just diving into your Modes course after letting it sit on the shelf after purchasing it. Enjoying it, think I'm going to be a Modes Master 👨🏻🎓

I'm 9 months into my learning journey and I just recently began messing around with triads, focusing on just the 1st three strings. They are a lot of fun, especially with some distortion. Maybe you could do a part two focusing on the triads using the 1st two strings?
2:24 Moving the A and the E up and down with a bar chord was one of the first things I learned. However, this has it's own cool sound but has terrible voice leading. Because of the nature of the guitar this caused me not to see the way chords are connected. For instance, the VI chord of the major scale which is a minor chord has only one note different with the root chord of the scale. So when changing From the I to the VI chord only one note has to change pitch. And changing just one note of a chord will always sound great to our ears and mimics a singing voice more. All this becomes blatantly obvious when all chord (triad) inversions are practiced. (CAGED). Jack Ruch and Guthrie Trapp have some great video's about this ua-cam.com/video/aITu6eKoUys/v-deo.html
I just spent 14,000 dollars on 3 guitars , one bass guitar and a drum set. After 7 months of my wife saying can you play more than 3 songs and me saying pick a song you would like me to learn. She finally picked a song. Someone like you by adele. (Piano no drums) or anything by great big sea. (Fiddle music) does anyone want a free wife?
You have any respect for people! It all about money right?! How do you dare to not explain how is formed the triad, if you choose a major or minor 3rd??? Unbelievable!! And the people that commenting that understand everything from this video, what wrong with you?!

Looks good. I'm a piano player myself.
Love it. Addictive. I learn every song I ever liked.

A most excellent solo to end a valuable lesson. Merci😊
Triads go a long way in theory and the application of that theory on guitar! Easily one of the most foundational parts of music!
