@youdigsurf can feel a big change overall as I have changed front wing fuse and stab . I wouldn't think at my leval I would notice a big difference if all I changed was the fuse . Just my honest opinion. Liking the front foil tho 👌
nice leash! that's exactly like the Kaohi INVIZ leash. really awesome for dw/pumping and not hearing the smack of your leash on your deck. stoked for you, that foil is working good! you can tell the glide with how much time you have on your tacks. Every day I find another reason I should try Gong stuff :) take care bud, I wish you an awesome week!
Yes, totally based it on the inviz . The new foil so far is truly a big step up. I can't wait to get it in a decent swell thanks for watching mate and commenting have a great week
Hey Chris. Hope you are doing well. Have not seen any videos in a while so I hope everything is ok!!! What do you think about the V3 set up since you have been using it a while? I have a lit bit of a dilema: seems like if I am going to stay with Gong i will have to update everything. there are not parts anymore to mix V2 with V3. very limited selection on the V2. I got to use an Armstrong MA1475 on a downwind run and it was awesome. I have the Armstrong A+ setup already (picked up a used one at a good price). But, if i am going to stay with Armstrong I think my next purchase would be the Performance (high modulas) mast which is about $1500 just for the mast or if I want to go to new foils/masts with Gong the complete V3 setup would run about $1600.
@stephens.9748 I'm loving it. the carbon mast is stiff, and the veloce v3 is easy as the curve h for me is not quite as good on low end but not far off overall a very good upgrade I will change everything to v3 as I can afford it . Gong has matured very well the new fuse saves all the problems the v2 had with screws . Hard decisions try if you can . I did a video this week.in it I'm riding the v3 so much more glide . I will do a v3 review update next few weeks if I get some wind on my days off .thanks for watching 👀 😀
@grantmacdonald4838 I never used the old veloce H as I was always told the low end stall on v1 was not very slow so no good for me I our slower swell and my 95kg , so I rode curve h xl or xxl for 10 to 30kn and yipra for high winds 25 to 40kn . The new veloce is easy to ride a little more technical to get going but not as hard as yipra . So far, I have impressed full review in a few weeks. Thanks for commenting. Have a great week 😀
@grantmacdonald4838 I would say so, I find it as easy as the curve h mind I don't fall much now in waves . I wouldn't want to be learning tacks or gybes on it . It just takes a bit more energy to get on foil initially. The glide is much more overall, And it still turns well.
@@christomo Hi Thanks for your videos. In the current Gong range, which foil would you advise to learn tacking and gybing ? The thing for me is that I already have these manoeuvres under my belt but kitefoilng, on a Chubanga v3 race foil and matching board. I'm thinking getting into parawinging, on a downwind board. So rather unusual profile I guess. What would be your idea on that ? Thanks in advance
@arnaud8423 for dw with a parawing for me @94kg a veloce v3 xxl or a curve h xxl might be lifty with enough glide and still be maneuverable, I fancy trying dw and using a paddle I'm looking a bit bigger at the hdw wings and curve h 4xl , however I'm not sure what to go for not seen much footage of dw on the veloce v3 hdw in dw 😄 Sorry can't help much more
@vim55k it depends on what foil and mast set up you have, but they are around the same as most brands. All the products have the weights in the gong website . Hope that helps some . Thanks for watching and commenting.
thanks for the review preview, so you can feel the change of the new fuselage . the curve v3 shape is pretty similar than the h .

@@christomo I am the same weight and I find the Veloce H to not have much low end. This sounds like it's easier to use.

@@christomoJust your setup. They have no weight info on the website, in fact it is impossible to find anywhere
@vim55k ah I did not notice they had not put weight on v3
Titanium fuse 690g
Stab 290g
Veloce xl 990g
@@christomo thanks. And the mast? I know that it is V2, but they don't have info on it either
@@vim55k mine is 2600 g
