Hi I'm a kiwi And I love marmite ,your doing it all wromg , you toast the bread use real butter then a tiny amount of marmite, also New Zealand marmite is different.
I tried it like I was supposed to with toast and butter. And I'm sorry it's horrible. Only Australian people and my daughter love this stuff. Not me for sure
@@NickyTannock I liked it, tried it for the first time in Australia. With toast and butter it's delishes. 🙂👍 I would describe it sort of taste of a dark soup stock, just that it's smooth.
I used to work for someone who wasn’t the nicest person and one day she spotted my jar of Marmite and said “ what’s this? English Nutella?” .... couldn’t resist and I said well yes in a way. ( It wasn’t lying, both can be eaten at breakfast and on bread 😁) Oooo she took a coffee spoon of it directly 😂 to this day I will never forget her face 🤣🤣🤣
1. Explain it is like chilis: if you are not used to them, apply only a little bit. 2. You can also make a veg broth with it that will taste non-veg. Can come in very handy - and it is very rich in B-vitamins that are rare in vegetarian food, so it's not like it's a worthless illusion.
Marmite is gorgeous, but you only use a tiny bit, on hot toast or a hot crumpet, very thinly spread it is really tasty!, putting on bread like this it will be very very strong!!!!!!
Ah, I wish the ladies could have had the full marmite experience, it's spread very thinly with lots of butter - then it's delicious and incredibly good for you! Stay fab ladies! x
Wow....it hits each of them with that same few seconds delay, 😂. I don't know the first woman's name, who had the shudder, but each video just makes me like her more.
I love marmite and marmite flavoured things but I don’t think I’d eat it thick on dry bread;you set them up to hate it. Nice buttered hot toast and thin spread would have been a different experience ✨💕
Bless, these poor ladies, lol. It was fun to watch but I’m sure they didn’t think so. Well, at least now they know, they definitely don’t like Marmite😂😂❤️❤️🤗
Why give the Marmite with no other ingredients and instructions? I don’t know of anyone that eats Marmite (and know several including me) without putting it on buttered toast or some other condiment with it. The amount they used on half of a slice of bread would be enough for about six pieces of buttered toast. It is simply way too salty. I am sure of these women like salt but would not take a handful and put it in their mouth. That in effect is what they did in this video. It kind of makes for a somewhat funny video at the expense of these women to the point of being a joke.
I had two coworkers years ago that ate it on crackers, but I think it was usually cheese crackers? Apparently a 1/8th in peanut butter, or a little in pot roast is good.
@@joantrotter3005 It has a very salty but savory taste not unlike seared beef. To say it should be used in moderation would be an understatement. I like it on toast with butter, mayo or (maybe even better) crema or Mexican sour cream which is creamier and less sour/tangy that regular sour cream. I probably use 1/16 or 1/8 teaspoon per slice of bread. To give it to someone who is going to put a glob of it on something or eat it out of a spoon is almost cruel. It is probably a funny joke to play on someone but I have seen plenty of these tribal videos and they are usually an interesting take off different foods. Not this one though.....
This is like giving people salt and telling them to eat it as if it was sugar. It makes for lots of giggles and everyone looks silly but it doesn't say anything about whether the food is actually tasty. (Marmite is often spread onto toasted bread with butter in the amount of about 1/2 a pea or the tiniest amount you can see on a knife).
There are some foods in this world that should just stay where the people like them and not be imposed on the rest of the world. Marmite and surstroming come to mind...
take hamdard Safi..add 4 table spoons of either salt and baking soda...add vinegar and boil until black stinky mass appeared...now, simply ferment on a roof top until stinky mass gathered glossyness..voila= mar maid is ready now
Maybe black seed oil is similar to Safi, (Cumin Seed Oil) tastes disgusting but helps with blood pressure and respiratory issues. Tastes like creosote tar from making roads.

Nah, kiwis do too. But the maramite they used in this vid is disgusting. It’s like hunny, and doesn’t taste the same as the marmite we have in NZ and OZ. I feel sorry for these women 😬
@@moorspede You do realise marmite is sold in other countries, right? Lots of people like marmite, and hate Vegemite. Lots of people like Vegemite, and hate marmite. Lots of people like BOTH. It's a bit unsettling to make people taste this kind of concentrated product on a slice of bread without saying them to use very few of it. A better way to introduce it is to mix a small amount in a tomato or fresh cream sauce with pasta or rice. Liquid versions (Bovril, Viandox) are casually used this way.
How did Marmite and Vegemite become a thing? They are soooo gross that I can only imagine that you have to be raised with it to learn to love it. Kinda like that Swedish Rotting Fish, Surstromming.
I have eaten since babyhood, and initially Marmite was given to mothers at the baby clinics to help with vitamins for babies and children intake and growth. First of all it was spread on toast fingers, then later larger slices of toast. At the clinic mothers were also given Gerber baby orange juice (very bitter but was diluted) rosehip syrup and some Johnson's baby products, talc, lotion etc. These were given up to when my old child was born, but after that it was stopped as far as I know.
I think it would make a difference, and on toast with melting butter, this is the worst way to serve it and they don't know you only require a little spread.
The fact all of them hated it has put a smile on my face..but let's be honest...they are
not the only ones.
Sorry lady's it's terrible, your brave for trying it. Your reactions are priceless.

Peace and love to these 4 beautiful women. They are like my sisters at this point!
Best thing I’ve seen on the internet today…..laughed so hard that my tummy still hurts
The shudders say it all!
Marmite's new slogan: "It's taste is like something decomposed or rotted!". :-)
"Marmite - taste like melons that you think are sweet, but they are not!“
".....and bitter as poison."
"I'll be back right after I vomit," is my new reply to anyone who works my nerves!! I love Ruqaiya
Awwww how could you torture these wonderful ladies?😊. They deserve a treat after eating this. Love from USA 🇺🇸
I hope this channel is monetized cause this content is so good!

Their dislike / disgust of Marmite shows these ladies have good taste
They do say "You either love it, or, you hate it." I fall under the love it category. Yeast extract at its finest.
The right way to eat it is spread some butter and then a very thin layer of marmite. It will actually taste good, try it.
I laughed the whole way through this video. Sorry ladies. I've never tried it and I don't want too.
It tastes fine if you eat it correctly.
It's supposed to be spread very thinly over hot buttered toast.

Needs to be toast, with butter and a then spread Marmite on top. Marmite is my fave. Get Tribal men or women to try Twiglets.
I love it too. But you have to develop a taste for it. And don't put too much on your toast

It is the British version of Vegemite. Love it but agree it needs to be on toast
