Madd kewl, the riff from " Another Point of View " That's the same thing Parliament done with " You Can't Miss What You Can't Measure " which is also the same riff in " Do That Stuff "
This is Rufus Allen singing on this record, in 1971. With Bootsy Collins and Catfish Collins, pure Funk, from Cincinnati Ohio. Today is December 12,2020.
From what I hear Catfish and Bootsy were messing around at rehearsal. James said "what is that? Play it again". And funk was born. I will have to get back to y'all with the first funk recording they put out but help me if you can. I'd appreciate it.😎
@@GSRAW88- Soulpower 74 was a re-dub of “Soulpower” which was originally created in 1971 with Bootsy Collins on bass. There was not a new bass player for Soulpower 74… because it was not a different sound/instrument production. But yes! Bootsy had left the group.. you’re correct. But his bass playing was still on the Soulpower 74 recording.

@@rufusallen7471 Mr. Allen I am honored that you responded to my question. In this year 2021 marks 50 years and the history of this group is still cloudy. A round table video of the remaining members would shed much needed light. Randy Crawford, Philippé Wynne how major or minor were their roles. This would be a great accompaniment to the album that came out. Stay funky!!!
One of my Marine Brothers played in this Band, his name was Randy Wallace
This song funked all the funk outta me leaving me funkless, so I listened to it again to get refunktified. Thank you GStrongRAW, thank you.
