Sign Gifts, Manifestation Gifts, Many gifts were given to the early church. But were they supposed to last forever? This message examines that question.

David Veltum so acts 15:5-11 is referring to Peter defending the law? Seems to portray the opposite. Verse 10: Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? Also notice Paul and Barnabas are present. Seems to me if peter was teaching law, then paul would have called peter out. If this is going to be your stand, then you have to say Paul too believed in upholding the law
David Veltum I agree with much of what your saying, it’s scriptural. Perhaps it was the account that Paul spoke of in Galatians 2 that was the precursor for the Jerusalem council. However, how can conclusions be drawn that Peter had preached the necessity of circumcision up until that point? Paul does point out that peter was carried away by fear of the circumcision but this appears to be just the weakness of peters flesh at a point in time, not continually. Peter preached to the Gentiles and they received the spirit in acts 10. He defended what he done on many occasions (acts 11, 15) , even claiming that circumcision meant little. This was peters revelation of Gods full plan, salvation to both Jew and Gentile alike, into one body, the body of Christ. Of course they had to settle their differences in this transition. But anytime anyone tries to differentiate the gospel that peter and Paul taught, are in error. I’m not implying you’re doing so but the gentlemen in this video is
somebody explain this "then face to face" . My bible does not have a face but Jesus does. If "that wich is perfect" is the bible and not Christ , the whats up with the "face" ?
Love you brother Rodney thank you for clarifying this subject never had explained to me like this and it makes total sense and explains why the Lord never answered my prayers to give me these gifts because my understanding was lacking on this subject. Pastor, if the gifts have all disappeared since Paul finished his letters to the churches, then that should also include God's gift of grace as Paul mentions in Ephesians 3:7... What of that gift? Paul's letters are finished, shouldn't that gift also disappear as you say? Or are you omitting that gift from being "disappeared" for some reason? What about the gift of Love? The greatest gift? Is that gift "disappeared" as well? Might as well add faith and hope too. Those are also gifts that should be "disappeared". Are these things also from God's Holy Spirit?
James O I’ve been thinking about this video. Though I’m on board with rightly dividing, I’m struggling with this gift thing. For the moment, I’m not convinced they are gone. Also, the 12 apostles did not operate in perfection at all. Were the prophets perfect. Well, look at the fit Jonah threw, and the mistakes David made, etc. Paul left Trophimus sick, were his gifts perfect? Why didn’t he heal him? I don’t think the gifts of old were perfect. The supposed prophets of today certainly aren’t perfect, however the Bible says God does nothing, he doesn’t reveal to his prophets first. I don’t think we can throw the baby out with the bath water. There are many healing miracles today, but no one can empty a hospital that I know of. Well, maybe the Lord will help me get understanding.
USCG_Vet all the gifts that have ceased were named. And all those gifts that ceased were originally given to men to glorify God and to spread his word. Those gifts are not needed any longer because we have scripture that can be read and taught so that we all can come to know God and his salvation. All of the other gifts come wrapped up in the gift of grace which God has given us.

But in real life that's not happening. We are not walking in this dispensation by sight , but faith. The covenant of Sight indeed was for isreal! And yes the Little flock was this " foolish nation " That recieved the holy Ghost as they ( Jews in Jerusalem) at the 1st ! The house of Cornelius is a great example of what was to happen if isreal obeyed and believed. But they refused! After that a MYSTERY was revieled! And Isreal was put aside for now. This is why the gifts are not needed. We all have the same measured of faith! And that's the FAITH of Jesus Christ imputed to all sinners Jew or gentile. Can I ask you my brother,. Have you heard of the dispensation of the grace of God?

Then why are millions of people in a hospital? Why are there so many hospitals? I used to think like you. Then I tried to raise the dead, clear out the various levels of hospitals, But NOTHING happened. Can I ask you this ? Do I need to attend a penticostal service to see this manifiststatons?
