Whoever made this trailer deserves props. It almost makes the film look decent.
This was my favourite movie as a kid. I'd forgotten what it was called and it's eaten at me for years and now, at 33, I randomly come across it on UA-cam. God bless this website. Going straight to Amazon.
BAAAHHH!!! ONLY AVAILABLE ON VHS??? WHAT KIND OF HORRIBLE TORMENT IS THIS?!?!?!
I have news for you. Shout Factory has made it available to watch on Amazon. and if you have Prime it's free!
It's also free on tubi
You gotta keep a Vcr around bro
@@LordFhalkyn I have Netflix and Disney+ already. I can't justify Amazon for one movie! Especially THIS movie! My wife would cut my balls off!
@@cronbot I had a VCR in the back room, but it sat it storage for so long the dust fucked those spinney things inside it and every tape we put in it got tangled and destroyed and that was in 2012! And since it was mostly our cherished memories of our home videos, we sort of took the thing out and threw it right in the bin. It would probably just destroy Wizards, as well. One less brilliantly bad copy of this masterpiece of cinematic awfulness in the world. A travesty I cannot condone. :(
I've been searching for this movie for years! Rented it as a kid and could never remember the title. Awesome inspiration for D&D games.
This should've won an oscar for the special effects!
Still better than the last jedi
Man I used to love this movie when I was little. I've probably seen in about a dozen times but not in the last 25 years. I'll bet it's terrible.
I first saw the movie when I was 7, it seemed amazing for its time, and I hadn't seen many movies prior to it other than other flicks put out by Roger Corman's New Horizons Studios like Battle Beyond The Stars and Space Raiders. The acting is definitely subpar (Bo Svenson does a half-decent job, but he's the only one that really seems to be able to act at all) and the special effects are definitely dated, but it's not the worst movie to come out of the 80s B-cinema craze.
@@hellsunicorn That's funny because I think Vidal Peterson is the only one who makes the film watchable. The screenplay and low budget effects from this Roger Corman movie would make it impossilbe for any actor, no matter how many Oscars they had won, to shine in this film. Watch Vidal Peterson as Will Halloway in the 1983 movie "Something Wicked This Way Comes" and in the 1983 TV miniseries "The Thorn Birds" Part1 as a young Stewart Cleary and you will see what a fine child actor he was. It's all about the parts and anyone who starred in this film had no chance. Despite it's supreme Cheesiness I kind of like it. It's really campy.
How did I miss this one in 1985? This looks cheesetacular!"
TheKrottyKid Oh man you don't know what you're missing. I've seen this. A thousand Wendy's Triples couldn't handle the cheese.
“Cheese! cheese! Cheese! Cheese!(mental echo)” Little Caesar’s commercial
Yep, saw it in the theater if you can believe that.
When I was a kid it was a toss up between this and the sword and the sorcerer...loved em both.
Probably Worth wacthing
If i'm NOT mistaken-some of that footage was from DeathStalker as well...
Yup, I was thinking that too.
@@fieryalbino Yep you are absolutely right. Roger Corman at his worst. This was an extremely low budget film with a horrible screenplay, poor directing, and cheesy effects. I feel sorry for the actors involved because there is no way anyone, how good they are, can look good in a movie like this. I only like it because of Vidal Peterson and Bo Svenson. Watch Vidal Peterson as Will Halloway in the 1983 movie "Something Wicked This Way Comes" and in the 1983 TV miniseries "The Thorn Birds" Part1 as a young Stewart Cleary and you will see what a fine child actor he was. I love you, Crabby.
Amazing film, boo to the haters
The team that edited this trailer were talented because it actually makes the movie seem fairly epic for its kind. I do enjoy the movie, though.
Top fantasy film, with James Hornets music from battle beyond the stars, as far as fantasy films go, it's a film worth watching l!!!!
Lol James Hornets?? At least you got the movie right.
James Hornet? Sorry but it's James Horner.
The poster for this movie goes so hard I can't believe this is what the actual thing looks like lol
My pops took me to see this one when I was a whee little fella.
Did I just watch the whole movie?
Glad to see Ed Wood's influence hasn't faded away.
AWESOME!
4! This is the 4th movie that uses the Battle Beyond the Stars sound track.
Deathstalker and the warriors from hell used it.
Space Raiders used it, along with the same FX from Battle Beyond the Stars.
Mr. James Horner, sue someone... oh... plain crash in 2015? NM...
Todavía me cuesta imaginar que el que dirigió esto también dirigió La Noche de los Lápices y La Patagonia Rebelde.
I love this one long riff from the MST3K episode... "Well, right about this time, ol' Simon was getting mighty tired of stabbing that bug, heh! Until he hit on an idea! 'I'll stick it in the neck!' And, sure enough, a rich green liquid came rollin' out! He called it Mountain Dew and it'll tickle your innards...'cause it came from HER innards!"
I was rolling.
Just watched this on the new mst3k. The only way to watch this cheesefest.
Trailer music is early work from James Horner, sounds like music taken from the movie Battle Beyond The Stars. The trailer is well made, makes an obviously shitty movie look very exciting and engaging.
Confused because the first 6 seconds featured footage from a different movie? 'Sorceress'
And starring Crabby the Crab hat as himself!
Ay, you said it, boss!
Who's here after MST3K?
The power is yours!
I like this shit hahahhahaaa - sometimes (when I want to laugh) I watch those oldies LOL
I think Vidal Peterson is the only one who makes the film watchable. The screenplay, the actor's lines, the poor directing, and the low budget effects from this Roger Corman movie would make it impossilbe for any actor, no matter how many Oscars they had won, to shine in this film. "...stomp this evil!"
This looks so cheesy but I'm here for it.
Magic one stop this evil! LOL🤣🤣🤣
I need me a ring like that!!😂😂😂
Yeah that would be great to have.
They used scenes from SORCERESS! Wth?????
For kids, it wasn't that bad.
Is this Deathstalker or not?? 😂😂😂
Don't laugh, it's still better than twilight.
We have better tech today to make this thing look 10000 times more epic but the Directors of todays minds are in a vegitated state so its unable to pull this off
True
Hands down THE WORST movie of all times worldwide!
