Kushi, a Tamil romantic comedy film directed by S. J. Surya and produced by A. M. Rathnam. The film featured Vijay and Jyothika in the leading roles, while Mumtaj, Vivek and Vijayakumar play other supporting roles. The film had cinematography by Jeeva, while music was composed by Deva. The film was released in May 2000 and spawned several remakes. In Telugu, the film was released as Kushi, in Hindi as Khushi, and in Kannada as Eno Onthara.
Jyothika went on to win the Filmfare Best Actress Award in Tamil for her performance in the film
Synopsis :
College friends Jenny and Shiva part ways due to a misunderstanding. Although they are in love and realize they cannot live without each other, their egos prevent them from uniting.

All of Vijay's expressions are so awesome and neat .... nowadays he doesn`t do much of these expressions. Just only in songs. Kushi must be the sweetest memory of many those who did their college during that time ... of course for me it is!

@@nodramazone That is true. But Vijay is not a toddler who can be made to tell whatever is given to him. He and his father are obsessive about the script, his lines, the frames he comes in and the frames he is not in. Even in the frames he is not in, characters only talk about him.
@@kaysree71 sj suryah sir doesnt change/compromise his Script For anybody. In Telugu remake sj suryah sir had few problem in kushi because pawan sir wanted to change/add few thing. Sj suryah sir said to pawan to direct/add few things in this movie. He was always outside if pawan sir directed few scene & Comeback after pawan sir done
