My prep advisor told us that the black guys would be seen as cool and the black girls would be seen as foreign/exotic so it was important that we stuck together. I wonder why this gender divide was so common for black kids in boarding school. Shit is sad

I appericate how raw this conversation was, I only wished the guest opened up more in some ways. I feel like i got a clear understanding on Ismatou's headspace and emotions throughout this conversation but i can't really say the same about Nadir

I had this conversation with my friends a few months ago. We went to public predominantly white schools. And a lot of the reasons they gave were sports. We share a lot of that success and the stereotypes we deal with positive and negative. White girls think you're coil too. They will get braids and Jordan's too. Why such a hard time making friends and getting dates then? Could it be you?

This started off nice...The tone of victim is so strong it's not even funny. It explains the things you say you went through. You have problems with men in general and black men especially. No one owes you a hello or a date... and you would still have this animosity towards them even if you got them. With out even mentioning the fact that you could smile and talk to them. I know it's a sin to tell yall to do that though.
