Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Responds to a Signal 9!

Around 2:00 PM, Wantagh-Levittown V.A.C. was toned out to a Signal 9 at 56 Blacksmith Road. 292 and 2901 responded with NCPD. 292 transported to St. Joes, all units were up within 20 minutes.

Why were the police there?

They respond alongside FD and EMS to ensure scene safety. Also because most FD and EMS agencies around here are volunteer, the police is able to arrive before them to stabilize the scene and/or patient.
