I remember Nusa Island, had nothing on it back then. I would paddle out in front of Malagan beach resort, do a bit of surfing then paddle across to Nusa and climb some coconuts tree for lunch...that for me was life at its best. I grew up in New Britain and New Ireland provinces....best times I’ve ever had.

Nusa Island retreat is going to be put on my surfing Agenda for 2014/15 for sure I am a ex soldier in the Australian Army and the WW2 relics would be a holy grail for me. See you guys then. Cheers

KA...VIE ...ANG...in tungak.. language...it means .... the coconut shell... for bailing water out of our canoe's... Kav..vieanG ... your coconut 🥥 🐚🥥... New Hanoverians islander found this place.. This there home.. before everyone else came.. they planted the coconut plantation on nusa island.. and all the other island nearby..nusa..means island 🏝️...
