I watched a video of the breath of the wild 2 trailer in reverse and I swear I heard it say at one point "please help us for this is his final coming".
i think it's because of the cryptid atmosphere involved with such things. it's also a common thing for human suffering that can't be helped (like end of the world movies that are really dark, 2012 is one that comes to mind) to sort of...instinctively trigger that feeling of severe unease in people. that's probably why the SOS in the Divine Beast themes gives so many players the creeps, because it really does solidify the idea that the Champions all perished in horrible, painful ways, and have been essentially imprisoned within their own graves for a century at this point. it also makes it even scarier that we don't know the full truth behind just what happened, so we can only imagine it, and that also triggers an instinctive fear i think. so i imagine that's why the supposed "help us, please" whisper is so spine-chilling, due to the combined ideas of human suffering that can't be helped (from what this possible theory implies, these spirits could have been trapped here for a very long time, and are only able to hang on from just the hope that Ganondorf's wrath will not destroy this world), and the fact that we know practically nothing about who these possible spirits are, nor what the backstory is behind this whole situation. sorry for the long response, i find this stuff to be very interesting

Not gonna lie, that line really gave me shivers after I heard it, if the spectral hand turns out to be the combined will and force of those that fell figthing and sealing ganon and the "help us" line is them losing their grip on him, i would definitely agree that this is gonna be way darker than majora
Squid446 honestly, they literally slaughtered most of a kingdom, laid everything to waste and then had to fight off monsters for 100 years before link managed to come back and “defeat” ganon.
Well to be fair that's exactly what happens in Majora to an extent, the Fierce Diety mask being a representation of all the people you help. At least thats what was said in an interview
Just my take on all of this. The first part of the isolated vocals, to me, sounds like the Japanese word かわいそう(Kawaisō), which can be translated to "poor," or "poor you." The second part sounds a bit like "ah rin-." In Japanese, Link is pronounced as "Rinku", which it could technically be if the last "ku" syllable was cut off from the audio. Thus the translation may come out as "Poor you, ah Link" or even rearranged as "Ah Link, poor you" if the word placements in the sentence were reversed, which sounds pretty ominous in its own way. It might have been difficult to find any clear result for any hidden meaning in the text since most people interpret it to be in English, but the game itself is from Japan so it's not unreasonable to think it might be in Japanese instead.
I am not hearing it. sorry Its more like: "help us, son; help ME.." ok actually I don't know what I am hearing, its just way too unclear edit: the "help me" part is in my opinion way clearer than the first part
I heard a whispered “help us” but not a please. Either this is intentional the same way as midna’s dialogue was, or this is just a very big coincidence due to the effect you mentioned.
I watched a video of the breath of the wild 2 trailer in reverse and I swear I heard it say at one point "please help us for this is his final coming".
Is it the zonai trapped in the luminous stones around ganon begging for help begging to be released so they can continue with their life cycle of life death rebirth.
what i hear in this is a broken distorted Fi asking "Help us, Somebody" and if we see her return but broken and cracked then BotW2 will truly be dark as they announced it to be
@@artolion4223 Tbf, they could be biased towards "hearing" that, given the title in the thumbnail being, "Help us please" So they hold this expectation that, *that* is what is _supposed_ to be heard
I juts noticed link's new outfit in the trailer, and it seems to be a mix of the Hylian Tunic outfit and the Champion's Tunic. It honestly looks EPIC in my opinion. A clear shot of it is in 8:03
I heard Kurosawa Yami, I thought we were agreed that there are no lyrics, and for one SIMPLE reason. The trailer is identical in all regions and across all directs, meaning that Nintendo would have recorded English voices JUST for a slight easter egg. Which makes no sense as Japanese is recorded first, and if the leaks are anything to go by, the voice acting may not have even started. What does this mean to the Spanish, or the German, or the Koreans? The whole reason we have been using Masterworks as canon material, and the Japanese script over the english one is because they are closer to the creators' original intentions. So why, would a mostly Japanese speaking team, decide to get a very vague line which means absolutely nothing, translate it to English, get an English voice actor to read it, reverse it, synthesize it, and then put it in the global directs? We are looking too far into a trailer that told us literally nothing
It would make sense if there were lyrics in Japanese or Italian (like opera) or Latin (which we don't know how to pronounce, but have made up a way), but not English.
The trailer being identical all over the world would actually be an argument to use English, not Japanese. I can assure you that there plenty of people in Spain, Germany, and Korea that speak English ;)
When you played the isolated edited clip it just sounded like blips and blops, but when you played the normal audio I immediately heard it. Very interested effect, reminds me of the ScareTheater video about hidden language
Fans: eagerly awaiting new Zelda news Nintendo: well boys, they've stretched the study of a single trailer on for this long - we've got at least another five years after the full-length trailer drop before the theories all run their course. Game set and match. See you in 2025.
I believe that by far, it fits with the title name that due to these events, hyrule itself is crying for help that it's gone so far that all of existence crys. hence tears of the kingdom.
@@averageordonian OMG I HOPE THATS RIGHT especially with the new trailer still showing a lot of things that appear to be Zonai!! I think theyre definitely hinting towards it but also the BOTW's original trailer had all the zonai ruins in it and had nothing to do with it so 😃 idk
I've spent so many hours combing every frame of this trailer & finding every little detail. Then going back through every LoZ game to find patterns; which made pages of notes. I listened to the trailer's music reversed, on a loop, for a couple hours (when it first premiered). The phrase I immediately heard (& still only hear) is.... "Come find me. Pull in piece of the body" I heard the "help us" & the phrase I hear in the song before I watched any videos saying they know what it says. Maybe that's why I never changed what I hear? I was very musically active growing up & one lesson explained that when singing, you must change how you pronounce diff words or letters, so it doesn't sound harsh. Using old lessons, I was able to identify the use of.... "p", "f", "c", "b", "e". Once I noted the letters used, it made the phrase stand out even more. I dont know what it could hint at, but I have speculations. I'm still hoping for a Twilight realm return lol The arm is definitely related to spirits or the power from them. Just look at how the Champions' spirits were shrouded in that same glowing green color.... The 2 hidden phrases may hint at another threat that has been orchestrating the malice from a distant realm... Meaning Demise found a way to break free within the Sacred realm & the hand is a God/Goddess attempt to help Link/Zelda (since they failed to contain him) or a collection of spirits, which may explain the distorted, eerie, tone the music becomes (many people or spirits talking at once would distort any sound). Regardless.... I think the music is important & may signify the reason WHY L & Z found the dungeon....the music reached out to them & guided their way. A warning? A plot to reawaken Gannon? An ancient or immortal helping? I could speculate for days on the purpose of that glowing arm lol. But Nintendo is the biggest tease ever!!! I just hope all our hype finds a satisfying end & not a letdown on delivery or depth.
Interesting thought: doesn't the distortion on the supposed "help us" sound like an effect we've heard before? My first thought was Fi, but a check of the comments also brings up Midna. My brain isn't fishing up anything more than "I'd swear I've heard that processing effect before" right now, but I figured I'd throw the thought out there for people with better recollection (or easier access to the games in question) to bat around and chew over.
It can’t be Fi, bc she is still In the master sword. This gives me TP vibes, but who knows, Fi could be asking for help cuz Demise is escaping, but that is still unlikely, bc it says “us”.
" Who is "us?" " Well, I may have a little theory I MAY have came up with first. Could it be all of the past "heroes?" Such as The Hero of Twilight, The Hero of the Skies, The Hero of the Winds, The Hero of Time, etc. All leading up to The Hero of the Wild.
Here's all the facts we know: "The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is now in development." That's it. We *know* nothing else. Let's be honest with ourselves. The game we get might look NOTHING like this or end up having nothing to do with a hand pinning down a person we strongly *believe* to be Ganondorf. The announcement teaser we got for BotW ended up sparking all sorts of speculation that turned out to be wrong or changed before released. Guardians don't move like in the teaser, there were no destructible bridges, guardians wouldn't attack villages, etc.
Botw trailer wasn’t in-game footage they used for the trailer. In fact, the trailer kind of represents what happened in the story 100 year ago not the gameplay itself where you are 100 year in the future. Also, botw 2 uses the same mechanics, the graphics and style are already made since the first game, the trailer footage is an in-game situation so yes, we know more than “it’s in development”
Honestly, part of me wonders if the Zelda team released a super vague trailer way early in the development of the game just so that they could steal ideas from all the UA-cam theory videos 😂
I could see that, but considering that they began the game with ideas that were too big for BoTW DLC the sequel will most likely follow the path of the trailer for the most part. I think what we all know for sure is that this game will involve the return of Ganondorf, because that's too big and important to cut out of the final product
What the hell. I think some people here are trolling. I CLEARLY hear "HELP US..... PLEASE". When I saw the trailer I ran it in reverse to find out if it is a song in the trailer backwards. I WAS not looking foe voices yet I heard "help up please" and it freaked me out. I immediately looked it up on UA-cam and many people heard the same thing. This is legit.
Nintendo: Posts a trailer a year ago Theorists: THERE IS STILL STUFF TO UNRAVEL I KNOW IT Me, getting quality content in anticipacion of a good game: (:
There is still more to unravel? Bitch I’ve come up with the entire game with just the trailer Plot Lore Mechanics Fucking dlc A FUCKING CROSSOVER THE SIZE OT THE MULTIVERSE **THE FUCKING DLC IS ABOUT THE MASTER SWORD BEING THE “KEY TO ALL WORLDS” I AM A MADMAN
Ok so I hear the help me part but for the whole thing I hear: “Help us, they’re coming”. But not only that I can also hear: “Helpers are coming” or “Help us __ (couldn’t figure it out) are coming”
If you are trying to hear "help us, please" and can't figure it out it's because you are listening to the chanting. You need to listen for whispers in the background. Read along with 5:17, it might help.
“Oh hyrule for it is time to party” ah yes partying over flying islands and hyrule castle being destroyed oh and don’t forget underground worms and getting overtaken by malice
Was just about to suggest the same thing! The Zonai and the green energy reminds me of the lifestream and the Cetra in FF7, which got me wondering... Like you say, maybe it is a collection of all their souls and lifeforce merged with whatever their version of the lifestream is.
Speaking of dead things from various other games and how they might compare, does anyone even know how Hyruleans of any race do their death rites? There are cemetaries littered across the Zelda universe, and spirits of various temperaments hanging around is nothing new, but that's largely after the death rites or if the person died in some violent or disturbed way.. The Luminous stones are said to house dead spirits, so I'm wondering if they are the Zelda-verse version of crude oil? Insert long schpiel here about how the Sheikah may have processed it for use in their tech, but that's neither here nor there. Now I'm curious about the actual ceremonial practices of the Hyruleans concerning their dead...
The lyrics that i heard were: Come find us or you can find the body Come find us or he will feast by morning Come find us or he'll set the darkness free Come find us or she'll be gone by morning Come find us or she'll be gone...
I have noticed and shall say it again, I think I have found where Zelda and Link enter the caves in the game. It is the floor of the Stalnox room in Hyrule Castle's dungeon. The floor looks like a giant safe lock/manhole cover. You can also find luminous ore in one of the caves surrounding the castle. It would make sense, a giant, almost immovable stone hatch to a dangerous cavern/temple, guarded by a strong, semi-immortal beast that is also is used to test you for the Hylian shield to distract you from the odd floor.
What I heard from the audio was: "please Zelda, help me" you probably have better ears than me though, the "help us, please" one is way more likely and is better
Not totally sure why, but that "Help us, please" whisper is absolutely terrifying to me. It's one of the most unnerving sounds I've heard in a long time. Can't quite put my finger on why, but my anxiety is through the roof lol
Turn the volume up, maybe use headphones. He's not talking about the high chanting, but about the whisper underneath it. I first had the same reaction as you because all I could hear on my phone with low volume were the reversed high notes.

@@jenniferchough if there were spirits that existed before the 3 goddesses, its entirely possible they worshipped demise? Who knows! We're missing 9/10ths of the puzzle anyway!
Things I noticed in the trailer: 1. The pillars and all the Sheikah technology disappeared, and we know the game is a sequel. They must've gone into the ground where they came. Simple, right? But what about the pillars? Ganon made them come out of the ground and release the guardians. If he can make them come out, could he have made them come in? And the pillars were made by the Sheikah, so could Ganon have put everything else back in the ground, too? It must've happened after he was released. 2. The Divine Beasts have also disappeared, and at the end of BOTW, Zelda says that they should head to Zora's Domain because Divine Beast Vah Ruta stopped working. Maybe because of Ganondorf? He probably did something to hide it, and the others, too. Maybe near Zora's Domain they found a cave where Ganondorf was sealed. 3. At the beginning of the trailer it plays a sound of a heart beating. It plays this sound again at the end, but faster. Everyone knows this is connected to Ganondorf. But it plays this sound as if he is alive, both at the beginning and the end. Because of this I think that Link did not release Ganondorf, but instead he was already released, and when Link absorbed the green energy, Ganondorf noticed that he was there. Why is the heartbeat faster at the end? Well, Ganon must really hate Link for foiling his evil plans again and again and again. 4. At the very end of the trailer, it has the green energy again and it fades away. What could this mean? Maybe it happened because the energy is no longer needed since Ganondorf has been revived.

Not gonna lie, that line really gave me shivers after I heard it, if the spectral hand turns out to be the combined will and force of those that fell figthing and sealing ganon and the "help us" line is them losing their grip on him, i would definitely agree that this is gonna be way darker than majora
I would like a darker game. They try too hard to lighten things up when I'm reality the storylines are dark.
Tbh the concept of botw is already pretty horrific
Squid446 honestly, they literally slaughtered most of a kingdom, laid everything to waste and then had to fight off monsters for 100 years before link managed to come back and “defeat” ganon.
Yea i shivered a little too
Well to be fair that's exactly what happens in Majora to an extent, the Fierce Diety mask being a representation of all the people you help. At least thats what was said in an interview
When I finally heard help us please I felt shivers all over my body
Honestly scared me so bad. It's very unnerving.
Me too. Pretty disturbing
President Elmo. Yes.
I'm not gonna lie....but, this might just beat Majoras Mask! And, if that doesn't say something then.....
You must be pretty darn brave!
@President Elmo I gave your comment its 100th like. 😉
The first thing I heard was: "Help us, curry"
Steph the key to it all 😂
Pokémon confirmed
Maybe its "Help us, hurry"?

I heard soup, owie-
Listen to the soundtrack with the lyrics "Death to all, Hyrule's gone." Oh my gosh, I did that, and I had chills down my spine.
I can’t un hear that now !! This game is probably going to be way darker than all of us expect!
@Link this comment is kinda stupid ngl
I, myself, am partial to "Oh, Hyrule! It is time to party!"
I'll bring the Romani milk
I'll get some fireflies
ParTAY!
I’ll bring tuna
ill get the hyrule bass
I am not hearing it. sorry
Its more like: "help us, son; help ME.."
ok actually I don't know what I am hearing, its just way too unclear
edit: the "help me" part is in my opinion way clearer than the first part
Yah definitely hear a help me at the end of that
Remember to listen the little WHISPERS, not the VOCALS
I hear "please someone help me" from that clip.
I definitely hear "Help" clearly as part of it, but I could hear "set (or let) us free" instead. More of a long shot though
I also heard "Help us, son"
I love that you included the O Fortuna thing xD Because once that has been heard it can never be unheard.
"it's inside of me" is what I hear, time to get the nightlight
Not yet💋
That could be taken out of context
I heard a whispered “help us” but not a please. Either this is intentional the same way as midna’s dialogue was, or this is just a very big coincidence due to the effect you mentioned.
Try listening for the consonants. I personally hear it best in the original reversed audio at 5:15.
I heard the "please" before the "help us", but other than that didn't hear anything.
me too, honestly I don’t hear “please,” to me it sounds like “help us” and then an echo of the same phrase
I watched a video of the breath of the wild 2 trailer in reverse and I swear I heard it say at one point "please help us for this is his final coming".
i hear "help us" then "l uh s"
Is it the zonai trapped in the luminous stones around ganon begging for help begging to be released so they can continue with their life cycle of life death rebirth.
Ganondorf is just keeping the Web Way under Hyrule sealed and the Zonai are powering the Astronomicon, mark my words.
Why did that sound like a warhammer 40k reference
@@ZiggyMandarr the Emperor's blessing upon you
But what we’re inevitably going to do instead is mine all those rocks to upgrade a tunic.
Omg, i noticed something. This corpse-like ganon is the reason of why the zonai "suddenly vanished"
what i hear in this is a broken distorted Fi asking "Help us, Somebody" and if we see her return but broken and cracked then BotW2 will truly be dark as they announced it to be
I hear, "I'm, so sorry"
yay i am not the only one!!!
I didn't hear the i'm part but i definitely hear so sorry.
Same but I hear help us too
Yea idk where they’re hearing “please” with that many syllables. I’m so sorry sounds closer
@@artolion4223 Tbf, they could be biased towards "hearing" that, given the title in the thumbnail being, "Help us please"
So they hold this expectation that, *that* is what is _supposed_ to be heard
I juts noticed link's new outfit in the trailer, and it seems to be a mix of the Hylian Tunic outfit and the Champion's Tunic. It honestly looks EPIC in my opinion. A clear shot of it is in 8:03
It sounded like fi kinda, saying "somebody"
I heard that too
Thats we what me a my brother heard
It sounds like "somebody" to me as well, but it makes less sense than "Help us, please."
I put it to loud and ended up hearing "Pappas pleased" I'm done, this is getting to creepy.
I understand where you're getting that from. Try focusing on the consonants, though, especially the p's.
I heard Kurosawa Yami,
I thought we were agreed that there are no lyrics, and for one SIMPLE reason.
Even for Zelda series this 'hidden message' seems way too distorted to actually mean something. I bet it's some kind of stock audio.
It would make sense if there were lyrics in Japanese or Italian (like opera) or Latin (which we don't know how to pronounce, but have made up a way), but not English.
Hope and desperation,but mostly desperation
The trailer being identical all over the world would actually be an argument to use English, not Japanese. I can assure you that there plenty of people in Spain, Germany, and Korea that speak English ;)
Christopher what chris said... English is the closest thing to a universal language that we have

Nintendo: well boys, they've stretched the study of a single trailer on for this long - we've got at least another five years after the full-length trailer drop before the theories all run their course. Game set and match. See you in 2025.
I believe that by far, it fits with the title name that due to these events, hyrule itself is crying for help that it's gone so far that all of existence crys. hence tears of the kingdom.
funny enough i could only hear "help us" in the unedited audio played again even after showing the edits
The “us” is Sheikah. Come back to this video and either praise me for guessing right or roast me for guessing wrong.
I think the "us" are the souls of the deceased Zonai tribe that were killed to hold Ganondorf underground. You can come roast me if I'm wrong too lol

@@averageordonian fellow Ethan. "If it's NOT the zonai, vote me off"
@@averageordonian OMG I HOPE THATS RIGHT especially with the new trailer still showing a lot of things that appear to be Zonai!!
Pull in piece of the body"
I heard the "help us" & the phrase I hear in the song before I watched any videos saying they know what it says.
I'm still hoping for a Twilight realm return lol
The arm is definitely related to spirits or the power from them.

This gives me TP vibes, but who knows, Fi could be asking for help cuz Demise is escaping, but that is still unlikely, bc it says “us”.
you're the first person I've seen in this comment section say it sounds like the effects on midna. honestly I completely agree.
Normal Audio: “Help us”
Reversed Audio: “Sup boi”
" Who is "us?" "
Well, I may have a little theory I MAY have came up with first. Could it be all of the past "heroes?"
Such as The Hero of Twilight, The Hero of the Skies, The Hero of the Winds, The Hero of Time, etc. All leading up to The Hero of the Wild.
This game is getting more scary and mysterious and I love it

@@AlexTheDoggoMasterwell you got it all lmao, btw i was just rewatching the first trailer when i saw this.
Here's all the facts we know:
"The sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is now in development."
That's it.
"...And let all the internet be troll territory..."
Yeah the whispers really do sound like words unlike the "singing" part which sounds like many different things.
Ah yes everyone who isn't me is trolls

If you are trying to hear "help us, please" and can't figure it out it's because you are listening to the chanting. You need to listen for whispers in the background. Read along with 5:17, it might help.
i think the hand/seal is calling for help, for link, because they can bearly hold ganondorf. us as in the little green things
“Oh hyrule for it is time to party” ah yes partying over flying islands and hyrule castle being destroyed oh and don’t forget underground worms and getting overtaken by malice
sounds more like "Help us, hurry" to me
Maybe the whole zonai civilization’s life force was used to seal Ganon and that’s what the whispers are and why they all suddenly disappeared.
The lyrics that i heard were:
Come find us or you can find the body
Come find us or he will feast by morning
Come find us or he'll set the darkness free
Come find us or she'll be gone by morning
Come find us or she'll be gone...
e23 Etch u give me the chills
Dis must be mondegreen cuz nothin see I herd
Is that not the words that someone who used to work in Nintendo tweeted out of context?
*doubt*
It's all on your head, it's the mondegreen effect

I don’t hear anything. This sounds like mindless chanting that fits the feel of the trailer.
It’s not part of the chanting, it’s literally a subtle whisper that plays on top of it. It freaked me out when I figured it out
from your profile picture maybe it’s because your just a mouth
Turn the volume up, maybe use headphones. He's not talking about the high chanting, but about the whisper underneath it. I first had the same reaction as you because all I could hear on my phone with low volume were the reversed high notes.

@@jenniferchough if there were spirits that existed before the 3 goddesses, its entirely possible they worshipped demise? Who knows! We're missing 9/10ths of the puzzle anyway!
Things I noticed in the trailer:
