12 Fuzz Pedals Shootout (Guitar Volume Rolled Down)

- Twelve (alright, eleven) non-Muff fuzz, directly compared with the same loop recorded from my Fender Classic Player Jazzmaster using an EHX 720 looper.
I've turned the looper output level right down to simulate rolling off the volume knob on the guitar to see how these fuzzes sound at low input volume. Here's the other video where they're played nice and loud: • 12 Fuzz Pedal Shootout...

I'm pretty sure that a low volume looper will make a fuzz sound totally different compared to how a low volume guitar would because of the impedance? That said it sounds to me like you got the same results anyway.
Yes, I considered tackling this question in this and the other fuzz video - non-Muff fuzzes are supposedly so reliant on 'seeing the pickups', being the first pedal in the chain, and so on, which a looper is not allowing. But I honestly tried it both ways and they all sounded the same...
@@ThePedalBored It's mainly with germanium fuzzes or specifically FFs TBs and RMs I'm thinking but mostly Vintage FFs But have to say some of the new circuits that have more to them don't FFs are very simple circuits
man, I miss your vids
Thanks! They will return eventually...
Very useful video. This is how I use my Fuzz (low volume purr, to full volume roar) and my Overdrives as well. Set and forget. Dial in the amount of fur. Also useful to have some “headroom” with the tone knob. I have the JHS Pollinator.
Loved the demo and the guitar playing/riff. Right up my street 👍
Solar!!
Also liked the Rusty, Atom, and Spires Red
Of all of them, I've kept the Fuzz War and the Spires.
Fuzz face style pedals please
What are your favourites? How the solar Bender stacks against other Benders?
If you could make a big spender pedal video It would make my day. Heard good things about them. What do you think?
Really dislike the placement of the knobs on the Keeley pedals.
Thanks
No, thanks to YOU.
Your vids are the worst. Audio quality is rough af. Gotta learn gain staging and how to mic an amp. Even cheap gear can sound great.
Thanks for the notes, but I’ll stick with all the other comments from people saying how much they like the sound I get out of my Katana, if you don’t mind! 😀
Lol there's always one
@@ThePedalBored keep up the great work, love your demos, this is the best format for me to review and make decisions
@The Pedal Bored your vids are some of the best fuzz pedal comparisons I’ve seen. Don’t stop being you, even when these jealous eunuchs try to criticize you.
lol? You must be trolling or have some personal beef with this channel as this is seriously one of the best shootout videos of fuzz pedals that exists. In fact I'd take the sound quality (and overall video format) of this video than pretty much any other shootout. Stay salty though, I appreciate the laugh - watching angst-ridden clowns vent spleen is the only way I start my weekends ;)
