I really like the navigation repeater in the center of the instilment cluster, dash. So many time my Garmin would say "In One Mile ...." I cannot judge One Mile, but on the repeater is a countdown with an arrow to indicate the primary movement.
Wouldn't look quite the same in the Elantra but at least the speed can be shown digitally - check out the Elantra steering wheel video here - ua-cam.com/video/9xoIUGJwM30/v-deo.html
My system is different then the one you show, my info is on the cluster area..I’m assuming my truck doesn’t have the front cameras? The back up camera is a joke.. Doesn’t even warn you when you get to close to hitting anything… I went from a f150 lariat to this.. I’m just surprised with the technology and accident issues Front and side cameras aren’t automatically installed! It’s not a bad little truck…
@@former5-0trustjesuschrist57 Ohh yeah if you don't have the digital cluster than you won't have the blind spot monitor. Yeah it's a big change from the Lariat for sure. Look at the Santa Cruz the same way you'd look at the F150.. You could have gone with the F150 XLT but chose the Lariat trim for the different options it has. SEL is close to the base model for the Santa Cruz but still a solid truck without the added tech
I mention that feature around the 1:50 mark of the video. You have to do a longer press and hold on the right rocker switch on the left pad of the steering wheel to be able to seek but it's a quick flip up in order to change presets
How the heck do I turn off the display for my tire pressure.. I have them all set at 35 psi which is what the sticker says it should be but I cant get rid of teh damn display for all of teh tires and teh tire pressure no matter how far I drive.. it basically sucks.
@@CarsWithSteve I followed your advice and after relooking at the video I was able to find the right button and got rid of the tire pressure screen and back to the normal one which shows your speed and such. But I was in the kilometer mode and had to figure out how to get back into the MPH mode. . No issues yet but I have not driven much.. Maybe 10 miles. There are still other settings I have to explore.. . I like the truck. But I would love a restored 1950 or so Chevy pickup.
thanks.... I find that it is just too easy for me to acidentally change things by touching the steering wheel while driving.....imagine that-a person touching their steering wheel! ... and then it is super distracting trying to undo whatever I touched...
I'm looking for a starter car for my friend. He's into this lane centering feature. We found a kia rio being the cheapest and having these features as well. Is kia rio a good car? For usage upto 5 to 7 yrs?
The Rio is a great little car - I've had a lot of people saying how much they love the Kia Seltos as well. It has a lot of the same tech and is a bit larger than the Rio. As long as you maintain it, either one will work for your friend

The little details matter
Thank you! I've owned my car 17 months and never could find the trip odometer. Finally!
You're welcome! How are you liking the Cruz so far?
Thank you for posting this, I have been struggling with so much tech on the car compared to my older car.
You're welcome, glad the video has helped you learn more about your new ride!
Great review. I just got a new 2022 Elantra limited. Been looking on how to check tire pressures. Thanks
Thanks Ryan! I'm in an Elantra later this month so will have a full review on that soon enough
great video! very helpful with a rental vehicle. Thanks
Appreciate that David, you're welcome!
Quite concise
Thank you
Tks so much
anytime!
Thank you for explaining that.
You’re welcome
So it doesnt have where the side camera comes up when you hit the turn signal?
It'll depend on your build! The Ultimate in Canada has it now, so does the USA Limited trim
Took me a Hot Minute to figure out how to turn off the Parking Lights at the Drive in. - Have to push the E Brake Button once you turn them off. UGH .
Ah the small details you learn as you drive it! Hope you enjoyed the movie at least
He forgot the volume control will also mute when you push it
Ah the one thing! Thanks for pointing it out in case people were wondering
Is there a way to pause and restart from the steering wheel?
How do you display an actual fuel level?
It's on the bottom left hand side of the cluster screen above the steering wheel!
Can you do SEL model? I’m wondering if it has the digital number speed. Thanks
Absolutely! I’ll add it to the list and will shoot once one is available
@@CarsWithSteve thanks.
Is the digital speed readout available on the 2022 Elantra SE?
Wouldn't look quite the same in the Elantra but at least the speed can be shown digitally - check out the Elantra steering wheel video here - ua-cam.com/video/9xoIUGJwM30/v-deo.html
Do you know if the Elantra SEL 2022 has a digital speedometer ? I can’t seem to locate on my new Elantra
Look at the pad on the right side of the steering wheel. There's an up/down switch on the left, use that to move up or down to the digital speed
Hi
How do I turn the front or side cameras
On if you know…I’m doing something wrong,

Does the vehicle switch the odometer from Kms to Miles in the vehicle?
You'd have that option through the media screen in the settings tab

Press the pages button on the pad on the right side of the steering wheel to take yourself to a different display page!
Thanks I will give it a shot.. Love the truck.
Good to hear! Curious.. have you run into any issues with it?
