- 2 months after BLEACH: Ruined Reputation, there were aspects of Bleach that I did not cover. Hence why I really wanted to cover the past of Urahara, and the Vizards. In this video I go over how Aizen’s twisted plans changed the lives of Kisuke Urahara, Hirako Shinji, Hiyori and the Gotei 13 of the past.

Unohana was also one of the captains that held her position for more than 100s. Its exactly on the Page right after the one u showed of the first Pendulum chapter.
Shunsui says "...In fact i think Ukitake , Yama-ji and I are the only ones who've been captains for more than a hundred years. Right ?" Ukitake answers " wrong , you forgot captain Unohana." Shusui " Oh yes that's right!" he was flustered then Ukitake says " How could you forget her ? I wouldn't let her find out you did."
I was thinking surely Ginrei also would've been a captain for over 100 years...

She was a killer just like Yamamoto before the creation of the Gotei 13 and basically started de concept of the 13 division with him. Until her death she was Gotei 13 oldest captain because Yamamoto was killed at begining of the last arc in manga.

It's a perfect moment to mention those chapters were published as negative numbers and were left out of the original chapter count deliberately by Kubo. Along with another seven extra chapters located in specifically volumes of the manga. Making Bleach 705 chapters long. Not 686.
Edward 2003 I blame Naruto for that. Most of the filler are flashbacks.
The fact that the central 46 was so quick to deem the visards as hollows despite the fact that they were all captains and lieutenants was pretty messed up, and it makes sense that they would hold such a strong grudge against them over those next 100 years. I was so happy to see shinji back in his captain’s robe in TYBW after 100 years of disgrace. Such a great show

@@quincyquincy4764 Guess it's debatable. I think is a loyalty thing,it's painful being abandoned by somebody you respect most. And if I remember right, Soi Fon takes her place as a captain, that's a thing on it's own.
@@quincyquincy4764 It's a loyalty thing. Soi Fon's family lineage's duty is to protect/serve Yoruichi. It's mentioned in episode 56-57 when they reconnect for the first time in a 100 yrs. Soi Fon grew to respect and idolize Yoruichi while under her command.
@@quincyquincy4764 Loyalty. Soi Fon's life purpose was originally, from birth, to serve and protect Yoruichi. And when Yoruichi left, she was robbed of that, alongside with feeling betrayed for her master having left with a guy who was deemed a tratior and "hollowfied monsters" like the Vizards.
I really hated Soi Fon's attitude towards Yoruichi back at the SS arc but this arc made her bitchiness more justifiable at least for me.

yoruichi took an interest in soi fon already from a pretty young age and acted like an older sister to her, then she up and left without saying a word. presumably because she didn't want soi fon to be branded a traitor, but soi fon didn't know that.
Can we all take a moment and appreciate that Ginrei was so badass that he died of old age.
Unohana was a captain from the beginning.Way longer than shunsui
But....during Yamamoto vs shinsui and ukitake fight...he says..that they were first captains of this academy....episode 55

unohana yachiru was captain from the very beginning.
unohana retsu was captain in less time though.
I believe that unohana and the old man somehow made it possible for 2 unohanas to exist, think of it as a loop hole where unohana commited identity fraud.
if y’all would read you would know shunsei, jishiro, & unahona we’re all part of the original captains. they weren’t know as divisions at the time just captains. unahona is the first kenpachi.

Thi is the most compelling and well written arc in the manga and anime. I only wish it was longer.
Just a side thing to Mention Unohana has been one of the Longest Captains as well. Remember all 3 were part of Yamamotos First division of Captains he stated it back in Soul Society about 2 of them then later in TYBW it was confirmed she was the long hair fighter in the middle.
When Urahara strikes at Aizen out of nowhere during the Hollowfication incident, you can see in his eyes in the manga that, if he's right about what's going on (which he is), then that's essentially his only chance to stop Aizen. The sheer desperate resolve is incredibly well conveyed

I've only read the manga but this is still by far my favorite back story. I honestly forgot how emotional I get bc of this arc. It was such great character building and it made me so emotionally attached to the characters. Also since Bleach was my second manga it made it more grueling the more I got attached to this set of characters. You sir did a great job explaining this and bring that well written pain back. I always say its well done if you get emotionally destroyed when when your faves are.

One thing I've always wondered. How do Ururu and Jinta fit into Kisukes life? What exactly are they? Specifically Ururu. Been binge watching Bleach recently and Ururu especially stands out. How can one child have so much physical strength in her? Is she a mod soul? Is she one of Kisukes creations?
The novels imply that they're part mod soul but something else as well similar to how mayuri made nemu.

correct answer now does it?”“No, but further than that…perhaps it’s something that feels similar to captain Kurotsuchi’s Nemu

Urahara then unfolds his fan in front of Hisagi’s mouth preventing him from continuing with his
sentence.
“Dear me, if you say such things Kurotsuchi san will make you his test subject won’t he?… In terms of
essence, Nemu chan is considerably different. I’m afraid he’s also aware of that fact, after watching
Nemu chan’s growth, Kurotsuchi san is probably jumping for joy thinking 'I’ve surpassed Urahara Kisuke’
whilst even imagining my frustrated expression, isn’t that right?”

2:30 people overlook this part so much . Aizen is considered to be at the Highest Tier of Kido Spells - S++ tier , and Shinji managed to reveal him . That alone requires insane amount of skill to spot it , then Aizen hints that Shinji is scary . Meaning that Aizen see him as threat . Knowing that , how some people even dare calling Shinji a jobber ? He's fucking disturbing

The only difference between Aizen and Urahara is that Urahara was clapping Yoruichi's legendary rack and it stopped him from falling to the darkside.

Sure what aizen did was bad but damn I was in awe of his perfectly executed plan as for the next video maybe do an analysis of Aizen we know almost nothing of his past and what drives him I dont think he's the pure evil in bleach as many say. Soul society had become corrupt to the core all Aizen did was push all of them to reach higher levels of strength to face the real threat in the Thousand Year Blood war

Central 46 is as useless and annoying as Hinamori. They are incompetent and it's surprising that they successfully imprisoned Aizen and that one Kenpachi who's Bankai can merge with anything and is always in release/bankai form.

One thing I noticed while watching Bleach recently is that Kisuke has two sides to him.
There's Mr. hat and clogs. And then there's the Captain of Squad 12.
The scary thing is you can always tell which is which by how he behaves in a fight.
This guy was literally wolf in sheeps clothing.
Theoretically Kiske would become apart of squad 0. He made one of the greatest contributions to the SS. The research and development department has saved the soul society countless times.
Plus his bankai is incredible.

Turn Back the Pendulum and Everything But the Rain are my favorite arcs in bleach. Something about those arcs just focusing on side characters is great.

The whole depression that ichigo was in and him returning to the real world before the arc started gave me chills in a way. It had such a great aura about it and I was thoroughly intrigued
I always wanted to get more interactions between Urahara and hiyori in the human world.
Just to see how their relationship have changed after all this.

Not gonna lie I was about to fall asleep before I saw your notification but let me say that Turn Back The Pendulum is a great arc that serves to flesh out the characters even more in terms of their backstory since before in previous arcs we knew nothing about them in greater detail. It's great to see the lives everyone in the Soul Society had beforehand and how Urahara's impact affected everyone on a whole and how his influence changed the entire Soul Society especially the Vizards but also damaged his reputation in the process because of the circumstances.
This Arc is definitely underrated a lot especially with the whole reveal of Aizens plan, to Gin's and Tosen's betrayal and slaughter of the Soul Reapers to fulfill their agenda to Aizen Manipulating the higher ups was something spectacular to see and was refreshing after the Ichigo vs Grimmjow fight.
Darkside XL factual ! This arc I just watched it again actually just feel it again it was light hearted even tho ppl don’t like Hiyori lol I love her but I got to understand the characters more in this arc and that was nice to me

See we see ichigo fight his inner hollow but later on we see that he had one his whole life. However we didn't see how the captains/vice captains got the hollows in their inner world! Like is it the same as ichigo? Is their zanpakuto spirit mixed with a hollow too? Did kisuke use the hokyoku to fix them? And it sucks too because they just get rekt by aizen and then get rekt by the quincys later on
There's a reason why it's fanbase is so loylal still one of the best shonens

Kisuke Urahara is like in my top 5 favorite characters in Bleach. Such a well and good written character in Bleach. Truly a spectacular, phenomenal, entertaining, incredible, sublime, and intriguing character indeed. I love his nonchalant and outgoing personality and behavior/demeanor.
This arc definitely made me like urahara character even more than I did I before.

Isshin shiba huh
The reveal of isshin shiba makes the ichigo/kaien connection make sense because kaien is maybe his uncle or cousin it's never specified isshins and the other shibas connection
Turner Brawley I believe it is in the manga , kukaku and her brother was saying that they aren’t gonna tell ichigo they are related, I believe something in regards to that, and right after that they say something like about “uncle isshin”

Honestly, this was my favorite part of the entire series. It made earlier interactions deeper, and just gave a bit more depth to the world.
I love world building in general, honestly. Probably explains why I like One Piece so much.

I’ve always said that the tybw could rival soul society as one bleach’s best arc,but it was rushed and uncompleted plot points when the anime comes back it could flesh it out more and give the arc a proper conclusion
@@yohachi0154 most of the unsuded plots have already been answered in the novels, expect an animated adaptation of them in the future.
I loved Urahara in that back story, some of the things he was saying was really woke and I really resonated with them.

Turn Back the Pendulum, and Everything but the Rain, show the Kubo is really good story teller but struggles when the story arc gets too long and he starts losing control over it CoughArrancarArcCoughTYBWarcCough.
It's amazing how much 2020 Bleach content there is BEFORE the announcement. I love this fact. An active community / content creators keeping Bleach alive. Just great.

You are joking right.
The only reason urahara seal took effect is because ichigo weakened aizen enough for it to activate.
It was a joint effort. Urahara would've lost if it wasn't for Ichigo weakening him and Ichigo would've lost if it wasn't for Urahara sealing him.

The Vaizards are some of my favorite characters in the series. I really wish we got to see them interact with Urahara more. Even like small cameos like seeing Lisa or Hiyori leave the shop as Ichigo or one of his friends enter it.
EDIT: I really wonder how things would change if Soi Fon did go with Yoruichi to the human world with Kisuke, Tessai, and the Vizards. How would her presence alter Ichigo's training and them rescuing Rukia.
I wish there were more captains that liked Kisuke. I enjoy how this whole anime has turned out, but Kisuke is my fav character and wish he was more respected within the seiretei, even after his banishment. Like Shunsui and Ukitake are some of my fav captains as well, and I wish they had a cooler bond with Kisuke. Idk.
I remember when ikkaku found out Ichigo's mentor was Kisuke and it flipped a switch for him. Like if hearing his name did a similar thing with Shunsui, Ukitake, Kenpachi, or others. That would be dope. Especially because most of the captains are so serious.
@@MrColeoly I can understand why Kisuke wouldn't be all that popular in Soul Society. He was framed as being the one behind the Shinigami disappearances. And then he fled with Yoruichi, making him look even more guilty. It's not until Aizen's betrayal where the Captains are more willing to work with him, seeing that he was right about Aizen.
