I have been to Mayoyao via Bontoc in1982. No cement roaf.then. foreigners always ridr.on top f the bus to.enjoy the fantastic view. Before Mayoyao you see nothing but all green around. Very beaitufle iscenrrires but upon entering mayoyao area, it was like a big screen of rice terraces around the mountains. Spot of ifugao houses in the terraces. Like a.stair.to heaven thw communuties are scaterred in the terraces
Mayoyao to Banaue going Bontoc was now cemented...its very nice tò travel with your motorcycle along your way are overlooking terraces and waterfalls...plus factor is the cold breeze of nature that feels upon rides specifically during BER months...Welcome to Cordillera!!!

Thank you for the beautiful sceneries of our place. I am from Mt. Province and Tabuk City, Kalinga. The road was more dangerous before when it was a rough road. But few years ago it was cemented so it is easier to travel. Watching from USA.
Raisasy pls. always explain that we owe these road development to the former Pres. Gloria M. Arroyo who prioritized the concreting of the Halsema road, Bontoc - Tabuk road, Bontoc - Banawe road, Talubin - Paracelis - kalinga road, etc. in the Cordillera region. with her, these road are still like a river bed road.

New subscriber mo ading,i am from tadian, mountain province, ofw here in singapore, slaamat sa pagpunta sa aming lugar..yong halsema hi way talagang bato bato at putik iyon noong ako ay bata..biyahe noon from baguio to tadian was 7 hrs pero ngayong sementado na 3 to 4 hrs na lang..sanay na kami sa rough road,maputik sa tag ulan at maalikabok sa tag araw kaya sisiw lang sa amin ang matatarik at mabangin na environment..keep safe always
I got to experience that when I went to Besao via Sagada from Baguio City to attend the wedding of my friend. It was one of the best ride of my life. Although the road will give you a heart attack when the bus is passing to a narrow road, the view of the majestic mountains and nature will all cast away all of your fears. I love it so much. I wish I have a chance to come back again.

I have experienced passing through that rough, scary, one lane road when i went to Banaue Rice Terraces in 1997. Takot na takot ako noon, from Bontoc to Rice Terraces tricycle lang kami. It was a very unforgettable experience. I wish i could go back to Rice Terraces now, to experience that beautiful well tranformed road.
Hi! I'm used to these one road route and sorry but I enjoy these bumpy and dusty travel.... But now, our roads were improved... No thrill during the ride😅 but I understand it's for our safety that they have to improve our roads.... Still, I miss the past one road rides where I can sleep well from the bumpy road😃
Northern roads were NEGLECTED after 1986 EDSA power grab. Road improvement of Halsema started during GMA administration but slowed down during AQUINO administration.

Nays!!! Napunta din ako dyan 2 month ahead sa biyahe mo. Buti nga maaraw ka bumyahe, ako panay ulan.. action cam ko nasira dahil sa North Loop ko but its stunning beauty talaga dyan. Nahinto din ako dyan sa waiting shed para sumilong sa ulan kaso di ka aya-aya ang amoy hahaha kaya picture, kapote and gas to go agad-agad. Numerous landslide nadaanan ko din dyan at tsaka baha sa kalsada, yung tipong babaw tapos biglang lalim hehehe.. great and worth it naman yung pagpunta ko dyan, akala ko naligaw ako but di pala.. :) Ride Safe and Always Safety First!!!

Tuguegarao to Bontoc puro cemented.may rest place na kainan before reaching bontoc rice terraces,kaya lang na disappoint ako dahil marami nang bahay sa rice terraces and at that time,dry ang rice field at sana as a tourist destination sana ipagbawal ang magdudura sa town proper sa mga kalye.maganda ang mga mountain views while travelling.

I hope you also try the road going to baquio from aritao going to kayapa, or the road from bambang proper it goes to kayapa, and along the way you will have the scenic view of angat damn and the peak of Mt pulag in nueva viscaya,
A lots of fissures along the sides of mountain and will cause landslide or cave-in if earthquake or heavy rains will pass this beautiful road.DPHW will set aside the budget for widening,slope protection,traffic signages and RC barriers along the edge of the road.
