This stuff is so helpful. We don’t have to constantly suffer. We have a choice. For me, I’ve had anxiety my whole life but it’s been under control until a few months ago, when i developed health anxiety after a minor scare. Long story short, I went to multiple doctors and had many tests done (came back ok) and I’m still trying to work through it. But I know that I’m not a victim and God did not create us to live in fear. We can overcome the fears- the fear of suffering , of death , loss of control, etc. We can and we are strong and our faith is stronger than our fear. Feel fee to reach out to me if you need any help. You are never alone

I’m glad, too often we get caught in the web of initial anxious feelings and perceptions. However once we understand where it’s all coming from (lower self, protection) we can think greater than the feeling. Sometimes the anxiety symptoms subside quick other times not so quick, but either way we are no longer led astray by anxiety.

What's helped me is realizing that almost everything we do is either supporting a habit or changing a habit. Many of my symptoms were a result of habits ingrained over a life of feeling insecure and unsafe. The healing process was very slow, and there's always healing to do of course. Learning the messages and narratives was important, books like The Power of Now and 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels helped, but also a lot of journaling and learning to let things go. Not easy, but it's what's worked for me.

Here I am 4 months later, I’m forcing myself to live, get out of the house, no matter how terrifying it is. Exposing myself to the fear. Facing the symptoms and telling them to F OFF!!! It's funny is the 2 symptoms you mention is what I am dealing with again. I have been 99% healed the last month and these few days the dizziness and heart palpitations started again. I was afraid of contacting a doctor but recently pulled myself together and called the office to get setup as a new patient. Really need to get an EKG and do the other tests they may want to do to confirm everything even though I am very certain there is no health concern. Can't wait for this to finally be over with because I got a taste of normal life again!

This is helpful and makes so much sense. I had some symptom flare ups last night watching TV and otherwise calm, so it was confusing! I realized it’s probably because I knew I had to take my husband to the hospital today and hospitals are triggers for me. I named my anxiety “Janice” (from Friends, because she’s annoying), and told Janice to relax, thanks for the notice, but I’m watching this show and she needs to stop catastrophizing. ;-) Now I just have to get through the hospital trip! I definitely need to keep track of a food mood journal. More than anxiety moment: it’s a chapter, not me!

Im on my new workout schedule this week and I’ve noticed a shift in how I respond to my bodily signals and intrusive thoughts. When they come It’s easier to get back to neutrality whereas in weeks past I’d dwell for hours on a thought or, let the signals I experience thru the day dominate my thoughts and cause me more anxiety and fear.

    Hi Dennis.
I've been living with health anxiety for just over 3 months now, and I wish to rid myself of it as soon as possible.
I'm trying as much as I can to reduce my irrational thoughts and symptoms, bodily checking too.
    My main thoughts are:
What if I get cancer? (and chemotherapy doesn't help)
What if I go into sudden cardiac death out here?
What if nobody is here to help?
I've had numerous doctors visits and out of all 5 (or more) times they say I'm in perfect health, it gives me temporary reassurance but soon after the anxiety strikes again.
If you have any specific tips for me on how to beat this fully and return to how I was in the past, please let me know, I also have ADHD which makes it hard to stay out of my head.

Absolutely, sleep debt is right up there with the most important priorities in anxiety recovery I believe. It led to be being very symptomatic on a normal everyday day.

You mentioned Food journal. Cheese, Choclate, dairy in total, maybe Grains...check histamine. Other Words DAO in blood. Could be a secret hitter when suffering delayed from such foods. Thanks for your Videos btw

The funny thing about histamine is that my doctor would rather give me hydrosidamine for anxiety than a benzoyl. It doesn't work!!!

Don’t look to think positive, first look to become disinterested in the negative thinking, becoming less reactive will lead to new personal thoughts over time.

      @TheAnxietyGuy1  7 місяців тому

Question is what makes them so terrible? Is it the sensation itself or what the sensation may do to you? Remember, it’s a sign and a message, a sign of overdoing some aspect of you, a message in relation to whether what you are doing is safe to take on. You got this.

You are not alone in the vibrations. I had an experience recently, that made it crystal clear that major anxiety was the cause. My cousin lost her husband a year ago, and she's been vibrating ever since. We have to get a handle on the cause of anxiety....stick with Dennis. His advice has helped me for years now.
