Hmm.. Not sure if these are the most relevant examples for subqueries since 'where' clause can be used directly without subqueries in all these examples.. Use of subqueries to accomplish these tasks is certainly going to confuse beginners.
Well You are correct that there are more than 4 types of sub-queries, and sub-queries with a FROM clause are one of the types. The four commonly used subqueries are scalar subqueries which returns a single value , multiple rows and column subqueries which return one or more values and correlated subqueries which refers to a column from the outer query and is evaluated once for each row processed by the outer query. These sub-queries are often used with from or having clauses to create more complex queries and are often necessary to achieve specific data manipulations. I hope you've understood Thanks!!

What do you mean when you say there are 4 types of sub-queries ? Like I have seen sub-queries with from clause as well.

I didn't understand one thing...in subquery u wrote employee table as employee_b with out using alias name
employee_b is the table name. It's not using '.'
while updating, deleting the employees list why can't we simply use where clause instead of using subquery?
Thank you for letting us know know about this. Your feedback helps us get better. We are looking into this issue and hope to resolve it promptly and accurately.
You can certainly use where clause. Subqueries is one of the ways to perform the same task."
