You win "best comment so far"! I actually posted this idea in a woodworking forum and a guy came back with so many reasons why he didnt think it would work on a cutting board...I said "its literally where the term came from".

It's pricey, but all I can say is it's the best, most comfortable, least obnoxious sounding sander ive ever used. The finish is flawless. Only you can determine if it's worth it for your budget. Between this and Festool your money would be far better spent on this in my opinion.
Every once in a while you come across something that makes you say "that’s such an obvious idea, why haven’t I seen that before?” I love sliding dovetails, never thought of them for a cutting board. Seems kinda dumb now.
@@peteesche8908 yeah I couldn't justify them because I've got clamps and I'm always gluing up different size material. I've never used them so I can't say definitively but they don't interest me that much. I think rockler makes a version but I doubt the quality is the same.
