@GhettoStyles O is that what u did before u start messing around with the stems fam? Because see I got an mpc key 61 and I still don't know how to sample from UA-cam SMH do u? I did it easy on my MPC Renaissance from utube

I have a key 61 also if you have it in standalone you can run a 1/4 stereo to mono splitter cable from a headphone jack into the Key 61 but if it is in connector mode in preferences set the key 61 to your audio interface and sample input 1/2 or possibly L/R. I think you can do that if you have the Key 61 using itself as the interface as well.

@@skylerdarkavelifinesseflow7115 yes. You do have o login o your inMusic account in standalone. When you go to activate if you are not logged in you will see a QR code on the screen. You scan that code with your cell phone. Then you login on your phone and it will then login your MPC. Your MPC must be connected to WiFi. If it is the original MPC One you need to connect an Ethernet cable to your router. Standalone and desktop are two separate activations.
It was not in standalone at all. That’s one of the misconceptions about Controller mode or computer mode. When you are connected to the computer with the software the MPC works and looks just like standalone and always has. I just showed how it actually runs. None of the other videos show that on purpose to make you “think” it’s standalone.
@@Snub5741 you probably don’t have the driver installed. Also the MPC comes with a crap load of free drum programs, sounds, samples, and instruments. Most MPC users never bother to download it. 🤷🏽♂️

Who said that? You do not lose access to splice. Splice also has a desktop version where you can drag samples directly out of splice and drop them into the MPC. Your MPC splice sample storage is also still there.
Do you have the Mac desktop 2.14 installer?? I upgraded to 2.15 but I swear it sounds different from 2.13. Want to try 2.14 to see if it sounds the same as 2.13 + have access to stems.
@@GhettoStyles yeah that 2.15 to me sounded like there was some extra sizzle in the high end (unpleasant) and almost like an invisible limiter was on the master bus. I noticed a narrower soundstage and slightly more “lift”. Best way I can describe it. Preciate the link!

@@Reggicide Yea the easiest way for me is turning them into keygroups then you can play it in scale. 16 levels pitches it but not every pad will be in scale.

My cousin gave me his MPC charge. Can I use them separation on that and I’m not sure if he made it in life music but if he didn’t can I make one for myself and the stems function or do I need to use his Akai account for this process?
@@mosescarrero6611 you can use stem separation but you have to have the latest version of the full MPC2 software and you have to purchase Stems for $10. I suppose you could use his account if he has it but it will only allow the software to run on two computers. You will probably be better opening your own account and purchasing the Software for $200
I have my MPC XSE in controller mode and set to SCREEN CONTROL. In that setting the first box follows what is on the MPC screen. I went to PROGRAM EDIT and hit SAMPLES twice to get to the sample level control. You can slide the bottom panel in the software to the right to get to it also under SAMPLE LAYERS.
Rumor is that if you buy it for controller mode when standalone hits it’s basically free. You know if that’s true? Because I don’t do controller mode but I will buy it so when standalone is ready I already have it.
@@GhettoStyles tried that as well I believe it's an issue with m2 MacBooks..Akai had me go buy a usb b to usb c cable ..which I'm going directly from the x to the MacBook ..but still looking for computer. I checked my accessibility parameters, enabled kernel extension..uninstalled reinstalled mpc software and drivers. I even tried to downgrade to see if that will work but no luck. You won’t be able to do it by dragging it to the grid but you can do it by dragging it into the sample editor.

Check your cable connections. If you are using a USB hub it should be 3.0 speed or faster.
