One of the ceiling fans is actually a GEC Everest! Its probably original to the church and it may have had more than just the 1 but later on about 15-20 years after the GEC Everest, The DEMC's would have been installed. That GEC would have had its typical 6 speed regulator but the wiring in it probably frayed and the condition of it was not up to standard. The other DEMC regulator's plastic was probably same case and all cracked once again having to replace it. And the reason why that other DEMC connected to the brown regulator is slow is because its got a bad capacitor.
Very nice installation. These fans would be from around the late 1970's to mid 1980's. It seems they have nice slow low speeds. The fan that's different appears to be a TAT.
Love your video (I'm a fellow Queenslander) and like you I love vintage fans. DEMC Ceiling fans were available in Australia from the early 1970's through to the early 1980's. D.E.M.C stood for Din Wai Electric Manufacturing Company and they were based in Hong Kong. There were three sizes, and two colours - white being the most common and chocolate brown a less common variant. The controllers were made in both colours to match the fan. I still have 3 operating in my house on the original controllers. Mine are white although I did have a lone brown controller from somewhere.
Modit mehta and the rest is a great thing for us din 😊 I know that 😊 has been very happy 😊 for the last few months 3rd year and we are still on the 6-year

wow. these are extremely cool fans!
We have two of these in our house! and i’ve always wondered why it starts at the highest speed
I seen six of the exact same ones at a restaurant that my grandpa goes to
The one that’s different, with round blades, looks like it’s a TAT, not DEMC. Likely replaced a DEMC that failed

Note: Two of them hooked by dimmer and the last one has painted brown on a regulator
I had a demc in my bedroom but the motor burnt out a few years ago
That’s sucks
@@afam832 the old demc is gone but I'm still using the controller for a newer fan
D.E.M.C was kinda common on Indonesia
