I’m 65, almost 66 years old. Dry mature skin with some texture. Tried this on today at Sephora. I. Am. Blown. Away! Lightweight, light reflecting, my pores are blurred, my texture less noticeable. I am at the 7 hour mark, looks fantastic! Cannot feel it on my face! I can’t say I look anywhere as beautiful as you, but my confidence level has skyrocketed. Haven’t stopped looking in the mirror. Haven’t been so mirror obsessed in many years. Great review and video. Thank you!

I got this foundation and I agree with you. It’s a beautiful foundation and it makes my skin look so beautiful. I’m impressed as well. They nailed it. It gives coverage and I can get away with not setting it. I have oily skin and yea I do get oily but no different than other foundations. I love it.
I’d be interested in more reviews of Nars products. It’s one of the only brands that has never irritated my sensitive skin.

I’ve been eyeing this Nars foundation and so excited to see your review! I have been thinking Mont Blanc is the shade I’d order but it’s be slightly too dark. Now I’m wondering if I should go for Shiseido Radiant lifting or this Nars as my next foundation!
Finally, no hyaluronic acid! HA dries out my skin and it's in everything these days, including that new Charlotte Tilbury foundation. I'm really excited to try this!

OK yup. This was the review that pushed me to actually purchase this foundation. I've had my eye on it all month but the shades got me all confused but your swatches are always amazing and I think Mont Blanc will work on me too. Between this and the Em Cosmetics masterpiece release my wallet is weeping.

I've tried both. They both separate pretty quickly. Out of the two, the NARS is the better one, but it is still pretty awful. Haus labs is WAY better

oh man i might have to consider this foundation to be on my wishlist. but not for this year, i want to use up the ones i currently have. some need to finish before i bring in new ones, but now i’ve got this on my list as well as the new shiseido synchro skin tinted moisturizer. though i have not seen a review for that product yet, no one i follow has done that one.

Hi Amanda. Thank you for yet another comprehensive video. Can I ask you for a favour (yes, we Canadians add a "u" to some of our words, ha)? You swatched the Shiseido Synchro Skin, but I'm interested in comparing these two foundations. I had added long ago the Shiseido to my Wish List due to one of your videos, and now wondering what the comparisons are to this new Nars foundation. I'm much older than you and have dry skin, although I'm adamant when it comes to moisturizing and hydrating my skin before application. Thanks and hugs from Toronto! Moi

For my combo oily skin, this Nars foundation is perfect. I also recommend the Shiseido synchro and Surratt Dew drops. I also want to try the EL Futurist foundation.

This is the review I’ve be waiting for. I love my Milk Sunshine Tint, and have been wearing it since fall-finish, radiance etc is a dream-but it seems to make me a bit itchy. Always have. And I’ve begun to notice it causes some red patches on me now. So, I ordered the UD Hydromaniac bc the NARS was sold out online everywhere… and UGH. I want to rip my skin off. It’s being problematic in places I NEVER have problems, it FEELS and looks so much more drying than i thought it would be. I’m just not pleased with the Hydromaniac. (I’ve never noticed hair on the tip of my nose before with any foundation but boy does it make me look like a furry nose!) At all. But seeing how the NARS sits on your skin, doesn’t seem to cause any undesirable spots or bad texture … I’m sold. And I’m returning the Hydromaniac (I don’t like returning things) and rallying the extra $20 to grab the NARS, which claims to be in stock in the shades I need to try at my local Sephora. Wish me luck tomorrow, because I’m so ready to try it because of your trustworthy review and evaluation. ❤️
I got it instead of the charlotte tilbury and I am so happy I did. I’m oily/combo skin and I LOVE how it looks on me. Can’t stop wearing it

As a combo/oily girl, can confirm that I love this. In fact might be my favorite foundation of all time.

@@kasiaglad1956 yes. It held up VERY well with my usual priming and skincare routine. One day I actually used the supergoop glowscreen underneath, which is a glowy sunscreen, and it still looked good at the end of the day.

I tried out this foundation a couple of weeks ago but I was so sad to see that it didnt work for me and would break down after a couple hours. I have dry skin but it would break down in multiple areas and look a mess by the end of the day, glad to see it worked for you though Amanda!

I love NARS' foundations and shade range (siberia is just olive/yellow and icy enough for my skintone), it sounds like a more long wearing (self setting almost) version of the Bourjois Healthy mix, which is my HG foundation. So I am mad excited to try this !!!

Love your in depth videos Amanda! A question, You say this foundation does not have any sparkles in it but I think it was Allie who said it does have light reflecting sparkles in it. I'm confused and it's a big NO for me with sparkles in a foundation but you make be very interested in trying this foundation. One more, I have silicones in my night and day cream, do you think that will go bad with this formula?
Elf and Nars use a lot of the same packaging. They use the same foundation bottle which I love. I clean mine out and refill it with whatever foundation I am liking at the time because the packaging is good. Nars foundation that you describe sounds a lot like the wet and wild Dewey foundation looks similar on the skin too.
I have the foundation and I love it! Nars is the only brand where I have more than one of their foundations. The other one I have is the soft matte one.
Right? I now where foundation again! Thank you nars! Use oso. It looks extremely pink but I promise it will blend like a dream!

I heard so many people who tried this foundation say that the shades were off. I normally wear shade Mont Blanc in Nars foundations ( I have a fair/ very neutral skintone) but I picked up Siberia in the Light Reflecting Foundation because of the reviews. So far so good!

What do you recommend to wear underneath it? I feel like most primers have some silicone, especially pore blurring, which I need, but I did notice no silicone, like you said.

Amanda, would you recommend this foundation for someone with freckles? I have some redness and veins that I like to cover but I don't like foundations that cover my freckles aswell, as it looks unnatural. I'm always struggling to find the right coverage for me... any recommendations?
I'm a freckled redhead with redness from rosacea. I tried covering the redness with foundation for many years, but fuller-coverage foundations were too heavy and now settle into my lines. I finally figured out that if I spot cover the most red areas with something BEFORE I apply foundation that I could use much lighter, more sheer foundations on top. This way you wouldn't have to cover all your freckles but could still cover the redness. My favorites are Doll 10 Tinted Serum Primer, It Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Neutralizing Correcting Cream, one by Colorescience, and Dr. Jart Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment. Good luck!

Uhm, if they say there is not gluten but is made with oats, I'm afraid that is an oxymoron. I'm a celiac and unfortunately even topical application of gluten affects me. Doctson dont agree but they're not in my skin lol. I have gotten the shiseido foundation thanks to you and I'm an addict 🤣 now I'm waiting for my physicians formula spray from the US because of course Canada cannot have the good stuff. I don't buy nars for personal reasons and it sucks that this foundation looks so great. If anyone knows anything cruelty-free that has a similar effect I'm open to suggestions!
