- I’m that one TAZ fan who still isn’t over balance and I guess I just have to live with that fact
The fact that I can’t find any animatics for this scene is a crime bc it may be my favorite, it’s definitely up there

The definitive confidence in Justin/Taako's voice when they grab the immovable rod is what makes this one of my favorite scenes. It's one of the few times that Taako is so self-assured in himself and his power and his friends beside him that highlight how far he's come as a character
mi96100 I definitely agree with that! It’s the one moment where the culmination of “taakos good out here” really shows, like he’s Not Going Anywhere, it’s so beautiful

I just love how Griffin puts the boys up against an unstoppable force, and Justin is like, y'know, I do literally have an immovable object.

Taako’s evolution throughout TAZ: Balance is SO GOOD. He starts off as this aloof, cowardly, somewhat bitter elf and grows into one of bravest and most powerful characters in the campaign. The ‘Taako’s good out here’ to ‘I’m not going fucking anywhere’ pipeline is real
If you think you're the only one not over Balance.. yeah. I'm not over it either, and I only found this podcast a month after this was animated.
Might I just add, that this is beautiful? I was not expecting this single moment in the podcast, and I'm glad you drew it. I'm honestly shocked that nobody else has.
I would do an animatic for TAZ if I actually could draw people and sync audio with it. I don't even have a drawing program, so thats fun...
I wish the McElroys would've kept the same format of play style.. their new one throws me off and I don't know if I can watch Amnesty.
@@cinnamoncandyy7347 I grew up on Gravity Falls, and it just wore out quickly for me. It felt like a carbon copy. Granted, I've seen a lot of more fantastical stories, similar to the Balance Arc (excluding the Stolen Century and Story and Song).
And you think I listened fast? I started in April, finished in May, and started my second listen through last month. I'm already back on episode 36.
It took me one day to get through Gerblins, and yet I remember all their names, lol. I remember almost every name from TAZ, with a few exceptions from The Eleventh Hour. I aspire to be able to create a world, and story, like Griffin did here. It’s extremely daunting the more I look into the sheer depth that TAZ had.

Honestly you should give Amnesty a chance. Honestly at the end I feel like it has a story that rivals Balance surprisingly enough
Justin becoming so serious in that moment...pushes the entire story to all kinds of new levels
I've been looking for this scene forever! I think this might be one of the most important scenes in all of taz. Something about "I'm not going anywhere" after being risking everything to protect the world and being supported by ur friends means so much to me. And this is so pretty too!
