Excellent commentary. As Tom said, "The visual medium is incredibly subjective." It's not only incredibly subjective, but it's also incredibly SEDUCTIVE, causing individuals who watch it to go ASTRAY from the Truth of God's Word. Faith in God (by which we are SAVED) comes from HEARING God's Word, not by SEEING Hollywood's misrepresentation of God's Word.

The only film concerning the attornment of Christ that managed to refrain from showing the face of Jesus and also refrained from having Jesus speak throughout the entire production was the 1959 film Ben Hur, A Christ's Tale. written by Gen. Lew Wallace and directed by William Wyler. This film starring Charlton Heston won 11 academy awards - a record to this day.
