As a same Japanese, I am truly ashamed and think that the perception of voyeurism in Japan should be changed.

This male employee was later arrested, despite being identified by the company and the police, There are no reports of his face or name.

When I was in uni back in the early 2000s. The same thing happened to a friend of mine. She was taking a shower and when she looked up there was a man peaking over the curtains. It was so sad to hear that it had happened to her, especially knowing how humiliating something like that is. And terrifying to hear that such incidents were a new thing that we all had to worry about in our dorms.
One of the major issues with the dorms at that time, was that any one could walk into our bathrooms. Other men who lived in the building, strangers who were visiting the building. We all operated by the honour codes, until one person decided that they wanted to violate someone else.
This is what I dont get about these open showers. How do these guys even get in??
