I think Ashish is very underrated in this show. In singing skill & versatility Ashish is the best among all contestent. He can play any genre so perfectly with ease. He set up a new standard. But maximum people don't understand music. They just go with sad or emotional story.

We are interested to see a versatile singer as Indian Idol. SMP is a unique and versatile singer and whatever she does ohters can't do that. SMP is reengineering Indian Music whereas others are presenting the same as original singers presented. Friends how long we will sing and listen to the same type of singing? Let us change the shape of Indian Music and the revolution is already started by SMP and stop stereotyped thinking and appreciate her guts and welcome the evolution of Indian music. I just watch only SMP singing and change the channel because I don't find any versatility with others except shouting. Grow up yaar!

Nobody knows why Ashish did not become the Indian Idol. Not only that, it has come as a rude shock to all ardent & independent minded music lovers.
Same thing happened with R P Shravan in the last season. That fellow just like Ashish did not even make it to top three !
I recollect one more incident of Indian Idol junior, perhaps of 2015, where Nityashree too met with the same fate.
I personally think, that the judges & Sony channel take into account "something else" as yardstick & not just the quality of singing in deciding the winner.
Such a biased judgement is in nobody's interest & due to repeated misjudgements the judges, the show & the channel have lost credibility to say the least.
