Finally the Bee Gees are being recognized for their greatness! So happy for Sir Barry Gibb and his brothers! This is so long overdue. Their music is fantastic. One of the greatest songwriters of all time. Timeless music. And they should have mentioned that one of Dionne Warwick's hits was "Heartbreaker" which it's a beautiful song written by The Bee Gees!! Will always be a huge forever fan!

Actually Barry was born in Isle of Man, moved to Australia and has been living in Florida since the 70’s.
Rarely does this award go to non Americans (like McCartney for his influence on US culture). Barry took out US dual citizenship. A turncoat to me in that way. As far as knighthood, Robin lived in the UK most of his life, was a LOYAL Brit being President of both the British Heritage Society and Composers' Union, worked for poor children with "Outreach", fund raised for the Bomber Command Memorial in London that will stand for 1000 years, and worked for veterans and refugees. He was nominated and deserved knighthood as much or more for those reasons but died before it was awarded. Mo as well. At least his brothers were mentioned, if barely. Sad that they did not live to get many honours bestowed on just one brother.
