Yes you are right from my 25 plus years of experience in the uae I never came across a lot of companies that are specialized in agriculture science. It is definitely a niche. With a quick research there still seems to be openings as agriculture engineer, agronomist, soil scientist etc however it is a small number openings compared to other industries. Even in government I don’t see much opening. You could try Dubai municipality as they have agriculture section as well. Farming is predominantly dominated by Arabs in the uae. You could also try searching for multinational landscaping companies. For the strategy to work it also depends on the culture within the industry. Have you tried getting their phone numbers from signal hire or lusha and calling them directly ? The could be the way with industries that are not that active with LinkedIn or emails. You right unfortunately I am from the tech industry so I am afraid I wouldn’t have roles within agriculture unless if you are looking at exploring other industries in which case I can point you in the right direction. It is more about what your bring to the table, your aptitude and skills. Continue to acquire new skills that will help with achieving or landing your dream job rather than focusing on number of years of education. The best way to acquire skills is to by doing the job itself I.e practical. So do as many internships or jobs as possible rather than just focusing on theory I.e. degrees and education. However, with that being said your collage degree will help you get your foot in the door. Rest is on you and how you have prepared for the opportunity so far. Good luck!

Hello brother! First of all, all the very best in your job search and landing a suitable job in your domain and welcome to Dubai. In all honesty degree, diploma, masters and certificates do not matter as much in Dubai as much as your experience will. If you are a fresh grad then it more about your potential, aptitude and what you bring to the table which will be evaluated in the interview process. Degrees and certificates only matter if you are at a senior level and hit a glass ceiling and require specific qualification to move further or if you are a professional like a doctor, engineer etc. So in my humble opinion, focus on opening doors for yourself through the strategies I have mentioned in this video or using contacts to land interview. Once the door is open prepare meticulously for your interview and make sure you bring out the best version of yourself and emphasize on how you are going to help the company and what your potential is. In terms of the salary, it depends on the industry and companies you reach out to. Of course your experience plays a huge role too. I would highly recommend reaching out to tech industry as typically the starting salaries are slightly higher comparatively. Typically you should be able land a job which pays around AED 7,000 onwards for someone with your qualification and who is a fresh grad. I know a lot of companies who pay AED 13,000 - AED 15,000 as well for fresh grads. If you are experienced you should expect more than the above. Again it depends on a lot of factors so take what I said with a grain of salt. It is important that you are super fluent in English in order to be eligible for the above salary level. Hi indhiranip1232. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Based on my experience proofreader as a role is pretty much obsolete in the uae. Especially in this new reality of artificial intelligence. Even prior to this content writers were expected to do this job then editor takes a final call. Hope this answers your questions. So I would suggest trying to get in touch with leaders within your industry for advice. I would recommend you to drop and email to the few leaders and approach them from a seeking advice perspective versus getting a job and see what the responses looks like. All the very best!
