Excellent job on the repair instructions. Super easy to follow, if a bit daunting. Can definitely tell these two fellas are pros. Got a link for where to order the switch?
Robert. I think it’s great the way you posted your comment on multiple sites. Consider posting it on Houzz. There are a lot of Stressless comments, both pro and con. I purchased a power sofas recliner at Costco. Within 3 months, 2 failures. Thankfully, Costco picked it up and I got a full refund. I then decided no more power. We bought the Stressless Mary Loveseat. Ours is totally stationary. That led us to also buy the Mayfair recliner package. My wife needed the recliner. 4’10 and 74 years old, she doesn’t have the strength to push a manual recliner back. She finds it so easy to recline. On the Mary, it’s clearly a great \looking sofa. It’s also an oversized loveseat at 74 inches. I find it fine for watching TV multiple hours at a time. I do use an inexpensive back cushion. The seating height is perfect for both of us.
Yes there was alot of problems with the power ones but they do have a fix now that solved probably 90% of the issues. The back side of the buttons where the wires come out touch the foam on the seat. When people sit on them that wire is rubbing the foam everytime someone sits on it and eventually pulling one out of the contacts. Its a bad design to put the button in a place where people sit on it but they did come up with a good solution for it and it seems to work now
I would just contact customer service if you havent already. They can order you one and you will get the bracket with it that fixes the button not working issue on these Emily/Marys....
