@jehugarcia yeah, when I see those commercials for I believe carvana? Where they have those round structures you drive into and it lifts and parks like 50 cars! Pretty neat. Imagine being able to build a parking structure to park many vehicles on a smaller surface area in a big city. I need to build them myself, wtf am I talkin bout lol.
@jehugarcia BTw I really like your rack setup. It almost looks like some of those industrial storage racks that a lot of companies use. I'd like to see it in action!!!! Those little winches are way more powerful than people think, especially with good battery power!
While I applaud you for inginuity, consider attaching to roof beams with straps chains something since you have support above, man I would also add some lower beams
Hey jehu I'm getting all kinds of ads from a "Xiho" selling high capacity CATL cells and modules for Nissan LEAFs, Mitsubishi iMiEVs/Citroën CZeros etc and seems too good to be true. They're on UA-cam. What do you think?
Hey what's good listen I just bought one of your nine but our 12 batteries and I'm wondering are you going to have any available soon cuz I need to buy another one
Yeah, I don't think that rack is rated for that much weight. Be careful Jehu. Remember, a little sway at the top will multiply the force and reduce the holding capacity of the metal legs.
@@jehugarcia ok, I didn't see the ratings, just looking at the legs, they don't look that big, long and tall yes. Only look like 2 or 2.5 inches cross sectional.
@rtsrts2317 yeah someone completely clueless and without skill would think only store bought things work. This is a DIY Chanel, you might be in the wrong place.
I was thinking about that. saw video where it took 4 guys a week to assembled their $25k 3 car rack. Took me and my brother a week to design, modify and install my $1k creation
I'm choosing to believe that I'm wrong and you know what you're doing because that rack looks way, WAY too flimsy to be holding one vehicle, let alone multiple!! Yikes. Big yikes.
WE need a démo 😮🤩🤩
That's insane!! Some folks are gifted with great ideas 💡
You live on an earthquake prone fault line. A little sway will topple that rack into a pile.
Man, that's so awesome! You have to do a video tutorial of diy car rack shelf
Im gonna do this at my shop! Been planning it for years
I search for inspiration and was surprised no one has posted anything past " I forklifted cars into 2 pallet racks"

they are attached to the building.
So cool, we need to see it in operation.
Hey jehu

those are all gone
Can i run a forklift off those battery packs. 24v set up
You sure can.

How exactly do you come to that conclusion? racks are rated at 20K lbs a vw bus is 2.5k lbs, do the math for me
@@jehugarcia ok, I didn't see the ratings, just looking at the legs, they don't look that big, long and tall yes. Only look like 2 or 2.5 inches cross sectional.
By the way, since you have the ratings and manufacturer, show them what you have going, to confirm what they say. Better safe than sorry.
That looks like a disaster waiting to happen. Install an actual car lift. This does not look safe at all.

@jehugarcia I have a project bus. Do you want to buy it? 1969 Rivera/Camper
No I have enough projects as you can se
AY Yoooo what UP Baby Slim

@@jehugarcia A bit scary not gonna lie
Ninebot r12 I meant to say
@BendPak please hook up Jehu! #BendPak
Wouldn't want to see Bent Racks here.

@@jehugarcia Cool! Very innovative, as long as you're sure your setup is safe no worries. It'd be nice if they could collab with you though.

20k lbs rated rack with 5k lbs of buses, its like 2 battery pallets worth of weight on there.
