I feel the roster of this game is extremely well balanced. There's animals, humanoids, machines, plants and even more "conceptual" monsters. No category feels under represented and I feel thus is thanks to how there's almost no evolution lines. Each design is complete from the get go, and, at least for me, it was refreshing that evolving a mon was essentially a reward for exploring and understanding the mons.
Started my third playthrough just for the DLC. Realy nice updates and the DLC Area has some nice Monsters and stuff. I just Love that game and the DLC makes it even better. #BlobarmyFTW
Didn't take too long to finish the DLC, but it was a nice experience coming back to the game after finishing it months ago. Made me remember how much I love the music and combat system. Dragon team carried pretty hard.
@@moiraigames Haven't tried them yet! Just finished the DLC's story. Thanks for making such an amazing game. One of my favorite indie games if not my favorite!
@@ChristMetalMayhem Haven't tried those, but sounds cool. I just found these crazy dragon team from some other youtuber, which stacks a bunch of buffs on yourself and debuffs on your opponent, while doing lots of damage, so I have been using that for a super long time now and I can 5-6 star everything with it. Definitely want to try the new Dinosaurs though and how they would fit on a team.
Besides the placements on the fan made monsters being rigged asf (because we all know they didnt want to make a monster too overwhelming) at least they gave us some good ones for dev picks. No dragon buffs v.v
Eh... most of these monster designs are pretty meh, the majority are either "rpg monster" which is not half bad, or "regular animal" which is supet lame. Some designs, like Darnation, Krakaturtle and Aazerath are pretty cool tho
I think when you make an experimental game like this one, it's good to stick to what is 'familiar' to begin with so that people can easily guess what a monster does when they use it. Simpler creatures can help set a design standard that later monsters can then push and break as they wish. If a Monster Sanctuary 2 is made, I think the designs will probably be a bit more ambitious knowing that there is some solid footing. Also I'm glad you liked Krakaturtle, I designed it! 🥰

Dragons are cool and all, but my Power Team is Polterofen, Arachlich and Shockhopper.
