Why does he call himself an apostle?
Master Sargent Because that is what God called him to be in the Body of Christ . Dose a preacher call himself a preacher or paster ??
U are apparently not listening to what he is saying. An apostle is not the same as the 12 apostles. In Ephesians, the 5 offices given by Christ include the apostle. It refers to a duty, an office.
Master Sergeant from the time after the fall, we humans have always had a problem with authority. So, in Ephesians 4, the apostle Paul by Holy Spirit was setting the record straight in that first things come first. Since creation, God has always had an order, and here that order is being walked out. Now in the natural, we know we have judges, and law makers, police and such, that is according to Romans 13, but in the spiritual, we have Ephesians 4 where Apostle, Prophet, Teacher are Governments of authority as well. As mentioned by another member here, there are NO new apostles to write the Bible, that’s done. However, to carry out the Bible, that is another. We are to “unpack” the mysteries embedded in the Word and ‘feed’ the flock of God. So when a person is called an apostle by Christ, that person is commissioned by Christ to represent, and along with it comes a certain measure of power legislation, executive, and judicial, along with influence that when that person speaks, others can receive a bearing witness that with the authority of Christ, that person is speaking on behalf of God. You’ll know the difference when a person calls themselves. I hope this helps.
