I have this washer. It's a POS. I've done all the repairs on it so that's why I still have it. Just replaced the splutch and belt as it was about to blow up. I couldn't believe all of the parts were plastic! Even the pulley on the motor was gouged up, but of course, whirlpool only sells the pully WITH the motor for a couple hundred bucks. Luckily, a 3rd party company makes the part for 10 bucks whick took 5 minutes to replace. I hope this video helps my leak and I think it will because the small leak started right after I did the repair. So I think the floor is not perfectly level. Here is hoping and wishing! Thanks for the great no nonsense video 😊😊
I have the same POS washer. There was water on the floor once. The machine is level. I have a service contract with Whirlpool. I called their service. They checked the machine, and could not find any leaks. The service technician explained how water can splash over the top of the drum if you load it incorrectly with laundry. I have the machine on a service agreement with Whirlpool for $12.00 per month. After reading the reviews, I chose the service contract because people have thrown a lot of parts into this machine on repairs. The wash is horrible, and there is no turn cycle on the agitation to circulate the clothing through the soapy water to get them clean. Instead they rub against one another in the bottom with hardly any water. Whites do not get clean, and soiled clothing also doesn't get clean. After the laundry is done all the clothing is twisted together like knots, and is heavily wrinkled before putting them in the dryer. Next time I will be buying a Speed Queen.
Sir, if I could, I’d buy you a beer. My washer was doing this and the only thing I could figure was that it did did it more on cycles where the water load was higher…meaning the washer filled longer. I had this thing on its side, took the back off, checked every place where water would be…and you fixed my problem in 5 minutes. Thank you!!!
Got the same washer as yours. Been doing DIY for the past weeks. My issue was its making a split second grinding noice in the middle of the cycle. I the Replaced cam splutch kit, belt, and shift actuator. But still no luck. Now It’s leaking at the bottom. I wanted to replace the transmission but not sure it’s worth the money. Might as well buy a new one. But Buying the transmission would likely fix it.
That is weird, check to make sure the machine is level...left to right and front to rear..if the outside body is off, the inside hub self centers and it could be off..think of it as a house on a hill..land is slanted but the house stays flat and leveled...

You put alot of work into it..a new one might be the best choice...transmissions expensive?
@@alyoungcuda transmission gear is probably the main culprit could cost bet $180-400. Tube seal is probably worn out too
I have this same exact piece of crap, mine is shaking violently. Replaced shocks and hub still shaking.

It was made in Nov 17, 2017 at 12:36 AM based on the control panel.
Good to know...
@@alyoungcuda That is the date for your machine.
My exact washer is leaking and it's level as all get out.
Then clearly you have a seperate problem. Check that valve underneath the top cover where the water comes out of...
Primo.
Thank you
