You should really consider if you actually need a raft or supports.

i would reccomend fixing your z wobble dude! get a shim, it really helps. also, that limited slip differential is awesome. my grandpa would love that. im low on filament now, but i would totally print that! I hope to win it!

Hey bro it looks like you have quite a bit of Z wobble. I was amazed with my printer how much of that went away when I lubricated the Z axis screws. Love the video, will sub!
Thank you for the feedback Grant! That’s a good idea, I wonder if that’s the source of the issue. I’ll have to give it a go! When I was installing the mechanical Timelapse rig, I think I may have displaced one side of the Z-rail ball screw linear actuators- maybe that is contributing too. I may have to re-level the nozzle as well
Is the Z-wobble you’re taking about shown on the Yellow gear shaft for the Differential - each layer of circles aren’t really coincident?
My printer has the same it is a ender 3 but I do not know how to fix it :(

how do you get that adhesion?(first layer)
That’s a great question! I struggled with that for a while, until I started matching nozzle temperature to the material’s recommendation. Each material should specify a range of temperatures, like 180-200C is common. I found success setting the nozzle temperature to be halfway in between that range, i.e. 190C for that example. Other materials could specify hotter temperatures like 200-230C, in which case I would set it to 215C. Even a few degrees makes a big difference! And I set the bed temperature to 70C so the first layer really stays melted to the bed. I Hope this helps!

I know right. A little lubrication will definitely help with the gears! And printing with smaller layer height would too! I highly recommend trying it for yourself, it’s a very cool design! The link is in the description!

Модели интересные, но качество печати не для видео :( И ретракты не настроены, пластик видимо сырой или не лучшего качества, воблинг, ... в общем можно увидеть большинство дефектов 3D печати, и как печатать нельзя :)

Ahh batch printing the gears only worked with a raft. The first layer wouldn’t stick to the build plate, even at 65F. The raft was just a more reliable option, and the gears all just popped off nicely.
And to avoid excessive stringing, I ended up turning the nozzle temp down to 195F and retracting 6mm before each image was taken for the Timelapse, so that could be the cause of the layerlines too
