Definitely done my fair share of these. Almost everyone had heavy dust/dirt ingestion in intake system.

Rear left wheel well on the square frame tube just behind the cab. Use a flashlight.

Are those pistons just supposed to come out like that?

Can anyone explain why I got a one layer thin head gasket when it has a 3 layer gasket from factory and wouldn’t seal with the one layer one? Mine a 2008 rzr 800 possibly a s I have a seats not sure

Some kits come with the single layer gasket, they tend to not work well. I’ve seen it happening more often lately. Order yourself a multi layer one and you’ll be good.

@@montemania198210 could water pump seal be the issue I’m still getting coolant in the oil bad it happens fast

@@everydaycar3518 yes the water pump seal and oil seal can be bad. There’s a weep hole that supposed to drip coolant when seal is bad however is usually plugged with dirt. Clean it out and see if coolant comes out of hole. Other spots that will leak coolant into oil is base gasket (jug to crank case) and the engine side cover to crank case. That’s the cover behind stator, the gasket that seals coolant port from case to water pump journal will leak into oil. Keep in mind if head gasket is bad she’ll smoke more than coolant in oil. I suspect it’s one of the other seals or gaskets.

What was the best way to remove the exhaust bolts? Not sure why Polaris ever would use socket cap screws on an exhaust, they strip out just looking at them.

Best way is to cut the heads off then use stud extractor.

Cutting torch best way to slice the head off. Plus the heat from it should radiate into threads to help break the locktite bond and corrosion.
